He had not been confirmed to be Covid-19 positive before how could he possibly die of Covid-19

The number of deaths of public service holders from sickness of natural causes have not been this bad. Since there is a global pandemic that has claimed over 500,000 lives, it is logical to believe that most of the deaths are from COVID-19. A lot of common men have died from it not only politicians. Our low testing capacity has not helped matters. Many people are still living in denial. When a poor man dies, they say its malaria.

He was busy donating the virus to all his supporters yesterday who were so close to him while he was sneezing. Some even touched his hands that he sneezed into. O thous governor, you are a generous giver.

All those his supporters surrounding him when he was sneezing yesterday are most likely to be infected. By now those supporters will have transmitted to others. The vicious cycle continues.

Besides, there are many conspiracy theories concerning this virus. There has not been any proven cause or origin of this virus. So. any assumption can be true

Covid19 caused the irreparable damage before he became negative.

The energy politicians dissipate in fighting one another could be better utilised in improving the quality of life of Nigerians. .

I'm just wondering what is really happening to our educational system. It's a shame!!!

Personally, the ‘real’ marriage for me is a civil one not traditional or religious. However, I am not going to begrudge or judge Christians on how they wish to practice their faith.

For those citing Jesus at a wedding, Christianity didn’t exist then, Jesus participated in Jewish customs and attended a wedding ceremony that was probably Jewish.

Each religion have their way of joining two couples and those that practice said faith should be allowed to follow such practices without judgement.

I know for Catholics, a priest blessing your marriage is important, it’s one of the sacraments a Catholic observes while they’re on earth, the last one is death.

He shouldn't have fallen to the temptation of quickly releasing the news. Or better still use some vague terms in case its not true. Perhaps when he may just be sustained by oxygen

You can visit the isolation centres and hospitals to see things for yourselves. The results may not be 100% accurate but a fair reflection of confirmed cases based on our limited testing capacity and the general inefficiencies in our healthcare system. Its better to believe the disease exists and take safety measures than to live carelessly and get infected. Not every infected person is lucky. Majority of those discharged are those with mild cases.

Diagnostic tests are not always 100 accurate. Her case could be considered 'false positive'. That does nor mean Covid19 is a scam in Nigeria. There is no form of testing that has 100% accuracy.

The mandate of Universities is knowledge generation, and research. Industries can partner with them to mass produce and commercialise the products from Universities and Research Institutes.

Ventilator is not a cure for covid19 but it is used to sustain breathing in patients suffering from respiratory distress caused by several health conditions one of which is covid19. Several lives have been lost in most of our hospitals due to lack of ventilators. Industries can partner with universities to move this beyond prototype as universities do not have production lines for mass production.

Covid19 is real. We have less than 5,000 confirmed cases which is very insignificant to our entire population. Simple mathematics:

5000/180,000,000 ×100 = 0.0028%. This possibly a small percentage of the population.

That's possibly why you may not know anyone that is affected. But if the spread is left unchecked we may record a spike in cases which force doubters to believe but it may be too late for most of them.

There were reported cases of COVID-19 deaths in Kogi. That is the simple reason NCDC officials were sent. The lives lost are citizens of this nation. There is no need for the governor to live in denial and play politics with human lives. No award will be given to any state for COVID-19 free status.
It still beats my imagination that people still don't believe that COVID-19 is in the country.

You are very correct. Patient consent is necessary before displaying their health status. Nigerians hardly disclose their underlying health conditions to family and friends because of stigmatisation.

I groan at the level of ignorance displayed by many people on this platform. Until Covid-19 death touches them directly or their family members, they won't believe it exists.

The exclusive right to show picture lies with the patients my brother. It's unethical to display your patients identity on media except the patients consent to it.
Many patients have consented to it like those discharged in Akwa Ibom last week. They granted interviews in the hospital gates immediately they were released. Channels TV and TVC have brought many Covid 19 on live interviews in the past.
Every patient owns the rights either to disclose his identity or not. Govt has no single right .
Stop recycling this same question on and on again.
The world is thinking of how to curb the spread and come up with a vaccine not how to display pictures of Covid 19 patients

Test kits and reagents exhausted in some centres. That's the simple reason.
