PoliticsRe: Now That INEC Chairman, Mahmoud Yakubu, Has Done His Worst By Ikechukwu Amaechi by ChiefS(m): 12:10pm On Mar 02, 2023
Can anything good come out of Mahmood Yakubu. To whom much is given much is expected. After spending over 800 billion Naira to conduct the 2019 and 2023 presidential elections he failed woefully. He is a colossal failure indeed.
PoliticsRe: Ayu And Okowa Cost Atiku The Presidency❗️❗️ by ChiefS(m): 9:32am On Mar 01, 2023
What is shameful about the post? Don't be myopic and disgruntled.

I voted and mobilized support for Obi. With benefit of hindsight it is clear that BAT could not have overcome an Atiku/Obi combination. If the election was free and fair, Obi could have won the majority votes but unable to meet the 25% requirement in some states in the North West and North East which will lead to a run-off.

jamesversion:
Shameful post.

Why must Obi play second fiddle?
PoliticsRe: Ayu And Okowa Cost Atiku The Presidency❗️❗️ by ChiefS(m): 7:34am On Mar 01, 2023
Atiku should have let Ayu go and promise him an appointment in order to keep the party together. He sank with Ayu.

Wike was the root cause. He frustrated Obi out of PDP. His ambition to be the president of Nigeria at all cost or be Atiku's vice caused it. If Atiku promised Obi to be his Vice Obi wouldn't have left.

Jostoman:
I disagree with you, it was obi that make Atiku to lose not even kwakwanso, ihedioha warn them, Soludo warn them, reno omokri warn them and some of the igbo prominent politicians warn them to support Atiku.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan And ECOWAS Members Visit Obi, Tinubu, Atiku And Kwankwaso by ChiefS(m): 7:22am On Mar 01, 2023
There is no need for protests and violence. We don't need anything that will lead to a breakdown of law and order. We can still achieve our individual and collective goals without heating the polity by following the judicial route. Though most people have lost confidence in the judiciary. The governorship election is at the corner. LP can still work harder to win Lagos and other states. Don't be discouraged. We shall overcome.

The lives of those who supported Buhari to power are not better than those who did not support him.

The security forces can NEVER crush over 220,000,000 Nigerians

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Gen-z And Their Many Problems In The Work Place by ChiefS(m): 6:06pm On Jan 23, 2023
The challenge with most young ones today is entitlement mentality. They believe they deserve more from life and give very little back to life. They were raised by parents who said "I don't want my kids to suffer the same way I suffered". Now those kids have become over fed and over dependent.

lavylilly:
I was asked to refer someone for a job in a company in the South East.

I shared this in my network and received a few CVs which I sent to the organization.

I had forgotten about this until a friend followed up with me about her sister's application. I inquired from the Hiring Manager and learned that this candidate was made an entry-level offer of a little over 90k by the company but she rejected the offer. Reason? The salary was too small, she wanted to be paid triple that amount.

Before then, her only work experience was about 15 months in a small provision store as a Sales Associate/Cashier on a salary that was well below 20k.

She didn't have the required experience but she was chosen for her positive attitude and potential to learn.

Recounting how she started her career from little beginnings, my friend was livid. She had become tired of supporting her sister financially and couldn't understand why she will turn down the opportunity and choose to continue leeching on her financially.

After her sister threatened to cut her financial support, the candidate had a change of heart and decided to take the job. But opportunities don't wait, another candidate had been offered the job.

Dear Young Professional,

It's okay to place yourself highly but are you highly skilled for the pay you want? Don't get me wrong, money is very good but there is a place of learning and a place of earning. We learn to earn. If the million-dollar job you want hasn't come, hold the 90k one while learning and developing yourself into the million-dollar talent that you aspire to become.

Companies pay for value, use that small money to make yourself a valuable talent and watch doors will open for you.

Selah!

They were ASUU members before they became VCs. In fact, my immediate past VC occasionally attended ASUU meetings while he was still VC. There is no need to deceive the public. The Nigerian university system is drenched in corruption. I wonder why this Government has refused to release the reports of visitation panels sent to all Federal universities. It's true that Government is not adequately funding the universities. However, the little funds made available to universities should not be embezzled and misappropriated.

zikter:
Some of you are so ignorant. There is no VC that is an ASUU member in any university. Once they become VCs, they cease to be union members. Infact, in most cases, the two become sworn enemies. It is just like saying a factory MD is a member of workers union. Haba

Mfetenang:
Ikwere and Ijaw will vote for Peter Obi in Rivers State abi?
You will have a heart attack when you hear the results of the election. Expecting Southern minorities to vote for an Igbo candidate is the biggest mistake Peter Obi has made in this election. Save my post for future reference after the elections.I will say less for now.
EducationRe: Boarding School Scandals: My Experiences As A Staff Of FGGC by ChiefS(m): 12:32pm On Jan 04, 2023
Well said. But 2003 is a very long time. Things have practically changed with the smart phone and social media revolution in the last 3 - 5 years. Parents gift their kids iPhones of 250k and allow them to take it to secondary school even when they are not allowed by the school to do so. Only God will help us. Sex has been glorified by the media and celebrities. Nudity in the name of fashion has been exalted to the high heavens. What about pornography? What is happening now amongst secondary school students is terrible. The rotten ones from bad homes are negatively influencing the good ones. The kids raised by responsible parents now see their parents as too archaic and strict. In fact, it has become increasingly difficult to raise responsible children.

Romanoff:
Most of these children are already spoiled from home due to parental neglect, the parents then pawn them off to boarding schools.

I went to an FGGC and I can tell you that if you don't put the right values in your children, these spoiled kids will influence them.

In 2003, I was in SS1, some girls from my set scaled fence to go party with their boyfriends. The cab man that took them from the fence to the club came back to report to the security at the gate, he then took them to the point at the fence where he picked them up. The house maters and mistresses were informed, principal was informed, house captains were informed.

Immediately, they started roll call house by house, room by room. That's how they found out the students who were missing.

All the prefects slept outside the hostel by hanging around the school waiting for them to come back. They came back on Sunday morning, they were allowed to scale the fence, the moment they entered like this, they were marched to the principal's house while their parents were called to come to school urgently on Monday morning.

By Monday morning, their parents were on the assembly ground when they marched them in with the skimpy clothes they had on. One of them that was influenced was just crying helplessly. Her mum jumped on her and started beating her.

Bottom line, they were sha expelled.
FamilyRe: Our Daughter Got Married Without Our knowledge by ChiefS(m): 11:28am On Dec 14, 2022
Some girls don't have brain especially when they are infatuated.

Wellspringbunny:
Our eldest daughter 22 years old disowned us because we didn't like the man she was dating.

The guy is not Nigerian which is not a problem but he has a bad reputation. He is a Gold digger and gigolo. He has 7 children by 6 women.

People from his country in our community have warned us and told us to tell our daughter to run for her life. We have talked to her to no avail. She left the house and disowned us. She got married yesterday Saturday without our knowledge.

We didn't know that she was getting married. It was my husband that saw the wedding footage on tiktok. He showed me the footage. We are heartbroken. We have lost sleep and appetites, here is nothing we can do to stop her. We don't have her contact nor her address.

She has even stopped talking to her immediate younger sister because she advised her to quit the relationship. She went to her sister's old house she heard them arguing about money. He used her credit card without her consent so my youngest daughter warned and told her to send him packing. She agreed only for her to block her till date, she has changed house. We hope that she will not end up like his other baby mamas.

I need advice from other parents in the house what advice would you give my husband and I? Please note we are not in Nigeria we lives abroad.

PoliticsRe: You Are Evil, Corrupt : An Open Letter To Peter Obi By Uloka Chukwubuikem by ChiefS(m): 7:58pm On Oct 02, 2022
No wealthy politician in Nigeria is clean. It takes criminality or extortion to be stupendously rich.

Of the 3 major presidential candidates, Obi is still the lesser Devil. Let's assume all 3 are equally corrupt.

Atiku is above 75 years old and is past retirement age for any kind of job. With the pressure required for the office of the president, his health will fail him at some point. Atiku is a Fulani from the North. Based on the principle of fairness, he is a 'No No' after 8 years of Buhari.

Tinubu is visibly ill and physically impaired. Tinubu of 1999 - 2007 is not the same Tinubu of today. Having experienced how Nigeria suffered from Buhari's ill health it will be a disaster to suffer such affliction a second time.

There may be candidates in the 15 other parties who may be more competent than Obi, but they don't have the popularity and acceptance. Nigeria's generally do not like honest people. Despite all that Gani Fawehinmi did for the poor, the rejected him at the polls. He couldn't even win a local government.

EventsRe: Can A Wedding In Nigeria Cost Less Than 700k? by ChiefS(m): 10:45am On Sep 29, 2022
You don't need the whole world to be around to get married. Reception is not necessary. You can package takeaway food packs. Get a trusted hand to buy the foodstuff and pay a reliable caterer or group of loved ones. Don't rent a hall. Sew a simple wedding gown or hire one.
Buy a decent modest suit at Lagos or ABA. No need for bridal train. No need for MC Go home and enjoy your wife after the wedding.
PoliticsRe: 2023: Poll Shows Peter Obi Leads Tinubu, Atiku, Kwankwaso by ChiefS(m): 2:42pm On Sep 15, 2022
Roger3D:
Okay let's agree on that. The sample size used in the so called opinion poll is too narrow to reflect the choice of the electorate. Only a fool will take any online or offline poll in Nigeria seriously.
There is no need to call anyone foolish. by God's grace February 2023 is just 5 months away.

While it is still too early to predict the winner of the election, it is obvious that the researchers tried to be as objective as possible indicating the percentage of undecided voters and those that outrightly chose not to indicate who they intend to vote. These will count at the end of the day. These same people predicted Buhari's victory in 2015 even when there were no records of a seating president losing election in Nigeria. What the candidates can do is to try to improve their chances in areas where the polls showed likelihood of poor performance.

Opinion poll is not online polls. They went round the country. Go through the results carefully and objectively.
PoliticsRe: 2023: Seun Osewa Forecasts Tinubu To Win; Says Atiku Not Popular In The North by ChiefS(m): 2:04pm On Sep 12, 2022
It was simply because he was contesting against Buhari. Now Buhari will not be in the ballot. An average northerner will first consider voting for a northerner before thinking of someone else.

LegendHero:
I used overrated for Atiku because of the Southern votes.

No region in Nigeria alone can produce the president. Not North, Not South.

Why I said Atiku is overrated is because in 2019, nearly half of his votes come from the South.

Within those half, most of his votes come from the SW + SS.

Now he is not sure of any region bloc in the South, not SE, not SS, and not SW.

What is his winning formulae?

UyaiIncomparabl:
It beats my imagination because these men will never meet half the standards they set for women. And I am not capping! They want virgins, but ain't virgins. They want a woman who can cook, clean, be a mistress in the bedroom and also a top-performing manager at work like Alakija, while they are under performers.

They can't meet half of what they set.
The choice of a life partner like other products in the marketplace is determined by supply and demand. Both genders are buyers and sellers at the same time. The sad reality is that buyers (both men and women) have certain attributes they look out for. Though some of those expectations are unreasonable. One definition of quality is satisfaction of customer requirements. You just have to do all within your ability to meet and exceed the basic requirements and leave the market. Pray to marry the partner that satisfies your reasonable requirements and enjoy a long lasting happy home. Complaining will not solve the problem.
