RomanceRe: Why Infidelity Is On The Rise In Marriages by ChiefS(m): 2:35pm On Jul 29, 2023
Strange. Did this happen in Nigeria or abroadhuh

Emperormartin:
You're right. That no 2 is spot on.

My married friend introduced me to a WhatsApp group of married people between the ages of 35-45...

Their only business in that Whatsapp group is talk about sex, sex and sex and how to hook up and have sex among one another. These are married women and men with kids.

I'm not married but I have to remove myself from the group because it's kinda painting me bad image of marriage institution.

The last straw why I left the group is when they were organizing orgies in one Hotel in our area. The orgies will start from Friday evening and throughout the weekend... I was man matched with some married women in their early 40's... I ran!!!

I've to delete myself from that group. I'm not a saint either but this kind of sin is beyond me

True she's a mini politician but a born technocrat.ayade forced her to be woman leader to cover his interest at abj.
Yes adelabu contested twice but he's no politician.he spent all his active years at CBN.ohanenye contested to complete numbers and perhaps boost her profile but she's not an active politician like wike, umahi who are competent fellows.
I heard delta will get another slot with ibori nominating
Once a technocrat becomes a core politician, it becomes difficult to trust his objectivity in decision making because of his political interests. How to raise money to fund the next elections.

They do it for their future political ambitions not for one Nigeria.

Why do you want a Yoruba to be appointed in far away Abia bro?

There is nothing bad in Otti appointing only Igbo because that space is Igbo land.

We Yoruba should rather talk to our own mumu governors doing eye service who foolishly appoint other tribe as commissioners all in a bid to look One Nigerian.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Effect: School Fees For A Federal University Now 200k Plus by ChiefS(m): 4:40pm On Jun 21, 2023
Stop this unreasonable propaganda whatever improvement we have experienced in electricity are PMB & even GEJ's achievements. Don't give Buhari's achievement to Tinubu. He couldn't have done anything significant in 3 weeks. As much as we don't like Buhari for all his evil policies. Engineering is not emotions. Even the Devil deserves his dues.

anonymous1759:
The politicians are not the only ones that enjoyed free education Every Nigerian student that got their BSc from inception till now enjoyed it . If federal universities becomes more expensive to private good for them they’ll lose student to the private sector but I doubt .

If we won’t be sincere no country with a stable and standard education pays peanut as Nigeria “ better soup na money kill am” it’s not magic or rocket science. Power has improved in my area now drastically i don’t bother to charge my phone unlike before but I’m paying for it the subsidy is about to go off .

If Phcn refuses to supply light they won’t be able to fund themselves automatically they’ll supply light so people will buy for them to survive. Unlike before wether they supply or not government will bankroll them .

The only issue I’m having with BAT is to encourage the NASS, Judiciary and executive to cut the cost of governance let everyone feel it . The civil society should also step up campaign online I’ll support that one .
If subsidy refuses to go for power and education it’ll continue to be epileptic .
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Effect: School Fees For A Federal University Now 200k Plus by ChiefS(m): 3:55pm On Jun 21, 2023
Is BAT going to import new lecturers from the moon? Will the laboratories suddenly become functional overnight? When tuition fees have not yet been introduced, the school fees are already N200,000. What happens when students have to pay tuition fees? Some private universities will be cheaper than some Federal Universities due to over bloated workforce particularly non-academic staff in Federal Universities and massive corruption in the system. This your propaganda is unnecessary. The politicians who enjoyed free education have stolen the nation blind and now claim that government cannot fund education. There should be minimal increase in school fees not more than N100,000 based on present economic realities for running of universities but salaries should be borne by government.

anonymous1759:
Sad reality Nigerians always complaining we don’t enjoy anything from the government but it’s all fallacy we’ve been enjoying subsidies for a long while from electricity, PMS, education, health etc . You actually don’t value what you’ve until you loose it . Removing of subsidies in power and education will automatically kill the corruption in the system . I feel sad for those who are yet to get their Bsc’s you’ll enjoy quality education at high price unlike someone of who enjoyed low quality at a lower price you can’t eat your cake an have it .

What BAT is doing is what Nigerian past administration should’ve done long time ago . Next line in action NLC should force the NASS assembly to go under minimum wage by protest . The president doesn’t have the power to reduce their salaries. Minimum wage will surely increase BAT is doing well.

PoliticsRe: Students Loan Begins September/october — Tinubu by ChiefS(m): 7:41pm On Jun 14, 2023
This will mark the end of subsidized education. They better increase minimum wage to a reasonable level before then. Nigeria is now a capitalist economy controlled by the forces of supply and demand. It will favour some and while the pains will be excruciating for those at the lower wrung of the economic ladder. nigerians are usually deceived with "initial gragra". At the beginining of buhari's regime what we heard was body language.

PoliticsRe: Share Your June 12, 1993 Experience by ChiefS(m): 6:52am On Jun 12, 2023
June 12 was very calm and peaceful like any other day. People went to their polling units to cast their votes. I did not vote as I was less tha 18 years during voter registration. There was no movement till after elections as usual. The events that happened after the suspension of announcement of results and the eventual annulment were quite frightening and disturbing. There were protests nationwide, the army was given shoot at site order. Some protesters were shot dead and dead bodies littered in the streets of Lagos. However, the then Minister of Information Late Comrade Uche Chukwumerije said nobody died. There was fuel scarcity as NUPENG and PENGASSAN went on prolonged strikes. Their leaders like Frank Kokori were arrested. We suffered no be small as petrol and kerosene were scarce. Some people started using firewood and saw dust to cook. Many of us from the east travelled home. Lagos became quiet at some point. This is the end of my story.

CareerRe: Why Do Many Govt Employees Retire Poor. by ChiefS(m): 1:35pm On Jun 10, 2023
It's not necessarily true. The salaries are designed to make them to meet their basic needs except for those who occupy executive positions like directors and permanent secretaries etc. Or those who are involved in corrupt practices. I have received promotion with less than 15,000 added to my salary. Some civil servants manage to do some side hussles like farming or trading but it does not make them rich. An average civil servant(graduate cadre upwards) who plans his life may just be moderately comfortable, managing to train his kids, builds a small house where he retires. If we have a responsible government their pension and grauities should not be owed them.

jaeyking:
Well lack of planning for the future
Depending on only that source of income
Family pressures ( because they know once month ends them don pay)

So the way forward is to plan for the future
Cut down expenses in terms of children fees (there are good school dat pay less fees), buy food in bulk (it saves)
Your house rent shouldn't be more than two months of your salary (start small in life, you are not here to impress anyone).
Your wife/partner should not be a full-time house wife. She should own some that brings in income

Above all, have side hustles that can bring in income weekly or daily.

With this person fit manage life small

If we are sincere with ourselves subsidy is no longer a necessity in the present day economy of Nigeria.I don't know why some people are crying over this removal like d world is about to come to an end.The effect of this current price increase is not as devastating as some of us thought it would be on transportation. In Benin city its effect on transportation has been minimal so far. I had to check the price of God is Good motors some minutes ago,and i saw an increment of #16k to #20k for Benin to Lagos. I used be a supporter of removing subsidy after refineries are fixed, but subsidy no longer justify its existence.
How do you expect salary earners to survive the way it was removed with this hardship? We need to be sincere as a people if we want this country to be better. If the Tinubu feels for the masses, he should have increased minimum wage and put certain things in place before subsidy removal.

TravelRe: Nigerians Reveal What Makes Them Cry In The UK by ChiefS(m): 4:01pm On Apr 14, 2023
crows2ravens:
Causes of loneliness abroad, not only UK:
* Most people do shifts, and the weekend pays are higher. So it is uncommon for friends to be off-duty on same days, or even same time of the day. No time to visit or hangout.
* Working abroad is not like Nigeria where you will have time to gist with your colleagues during work hours. Even if you're not that busy at work, it's unethical to leave your workstation without good reason.
* It's common to have a chat with your neighbours in Nigeria but in the UK except you have Nigerian neighbours (Indians too like to make friends), you might not even know them. Most people mind their business even in shared houses.
* Other places to quickly make friends are churches and mosques, and many people don't attend them in the UK.
* Hangouts (bars and clubs) are not cheap like Nigeria. Friends also hangout less.
* Except you've been friends from home, Nigerians are very careful with making new Nigerian friends abroad. We all know why - we don't trust one another that much.
* You can't hear people discussing politics or sports (football) or "the situation of the country" in the bus or train. Not even someone speaking loudly on the phone. No "conductor my change" or "Jibowu wá o" or "driver take it easy oo" or two drivers quarrelling after bashing their cars - all those drama that keep your mind busy when you are moving around in Naija.

Despite all that no one of them had returned home!
Very apt. Nigerians abroad are reluctant to relate with Nigerians they didn't know back home. I had similar experience in the US

What legacy? One of the longest fuel scarcities since 1999? Longest ASUU strikes? Galloping inflation? several recessions? Appointment of dead persons in offices during his first tenure? Nigeria became the poverty capital of the world under his watch with over 130 million Nigerians multidimensionally poor. Citizens unable to access their hard-earned money in the banks. What legacy? His tenure caused untold suffering and pain to millions of Nigerians. We are waiting for him to leave on May 29 2023?
