- my mum doesn't know how to talk to people. I don't know if it's fear, a disorder somewhere or her religion that has brainwashed her. She sees every one as her enemy. That's why I don't go out with her. It's embarrassing. I had to stop the home lesson I was doing for a child whose mother was my neighbour because of her attitude. She would say openly that the woman was sent after me and our family by the marine world. she even concluded that my dealings with her shows I was sleeping with her (myopic ) |

- she does un hygienic things. Do you know she wears one wrapper for long even when she has others. She stores up dirty water after washing clothes saying she wants to use it to flush later. And tap is still rushing Ooo. She has refused to plait or dye her hair. She gives the flimsy excuse that she has lived her life already. I'm also shocked by her refusal to use the toilet in the house. She uses a bowl after which she empties in the W.C (exasperating) |

I'll use my mum as a case study......
the way my mum behaves has left me with no choice than to imagine that she might be mentally unstable.
- she picks up a quarrel with me for no reason. Like I give her 2h to buy egg for us to manage the remaining soup, she raise her voice and say "so you don't know you'll bring money for kerosene too!'. Not like she told me. Despite all I give to her, she might at times shout and complain that I do nothing for her. Hmm... Are women naturally ungrateful? |
Romance › Re: Why Do Nigerians Live In Self Denial? by ChildOfDoom: 7:28am On Apr 10, 2018 |
derrydinny: I read a post written by childofdoom about how nigerian parents are and I can't agree more. A lot of nigerian youths had poor parental love while growing up, nigerian parents believe paying school fees, clothing and feeding you are their ony responsibilities, they make lots of children weak outside because they don't interact with them(they talk while you ony listen), how mnahy nigerians can hug their parents and kiss them(on the cheek) in public? parents think they are strict but they are destroying their children psychologically. Most of us had bad upbringing that is while small pressure from friends and you will venture into crime. Parents think they are lords over their children, they can't be corrected even when wrong. I remember when i was in primary school and i had a bad handwriting, my parents would abuse and slap me but they never for once tried to hold my hands and teach me, this made me stop giving my assignments for help and it helped me though. They do lot of good things though but most of us know deep down that their shortcomings are much on point bro . Nigerian parents are ' fvcked up entities'. they have failed in proper upbringing. Currently trying to reorientate myself before I can mentor any one |

You hit her and you expected people to give you a pat on the back and say "well done"

for the records, I like my mum unlike my dad. I contribute 5k from my paltry salary for feeding. anoda 5k is in a cooperative in which I give her 60k at the end of the year to add another 60k for the rent.
you see, I'm not all that bad. it's just that what I give is 5percent of her total responsibility (4 boys to take care of). |

it breaks my heart to see the kind of response you guys make in my threads. some say I will suffer, others say I will die. even one innocent-looking girl said may my children kill me and no one burry me. hmmm
my only offence was being vocal about things that happen in my home. this is not different from what happens in most homes in naija... |

I was listening to music with an earpiece I bought with my money when she walked in. She dragged the earpiece from my ear because I was delaying in washing the dishes. It got caught. Loosing my cool, I blew her right arm. It was then it dawned on me that I did something bad. Hmmm
But My mum is someone though who doesn't stop talking until she sees strong thing |

For long, I've always told mum to give me my space in the room and parlour we stay but she won't listen. She complains about almost everything. She would say: you didn't wash the plates! Why are you just coming home! Remove your clothes from the nail (and her own is there o). Why will she be controlling a man of over 20 years??
Fvck it if she feels I should be loyal all my life because she birthed me. Some one still gave birth to her as well |

I'm fucccked up mehn.. I can't even return love because I've not been shown what love is all about.
My friends and a girl friend I had one time, would complain I don't visit often, call, send gifts, show concern when things happen etc.
it's not in my D.N.A oo. Na so so to condemn people my papa and mama know then . so when I'm praised at the office for diligence, I feel uncomfortable |
