pryme:I'm physically okay. Just pouring out my mind |
Cutehector:I agree. But I'm not alone in this. Stop living in self-denial. A lot of youths have lost the way. As early as 10 years, youths take to crime and all sorts of sexual acts. If you are sincere to yourself, how many people in your household have/is living an accomplished life? I see women struggling to birth a child after 9 months all to what end? They probably won't take good care of them either due to the harsh reality of the times or because they were not properly groomed themselves. |
2) the commitment is enormous - when a child is sick, vomiting at mid night, you get to lose your sleep to rush them to the hospital. You buy clothes, food, pay fees and a host of other things. you can't think straight again and have free mind as you are thinking of how to take care of more than 3 persons. That sh1t scares the hell out of me. My 15k can't even take care of me properly. Many of us were also not well guided. I doubt if parenthood will fit most of us. |
1) children are becoming wayward and carefree - while growing up, my parents (my mum in particular) had to always face a lot of gloomy and embarrassing situations when I strayed. In jss3, I was expelled for homosexuality. This was after spending a lot in a big boarding school. Later on, she was despondent after learning I dropped out of the university (fled because of money I owed bad guys). Till now, I've not changed even when I try to. moral decadence has eaten deep into the fabrics of the nation. So avoid the worries and pains children bring. Children are no longer assets like in the past |
stop deceiving yourself with the saying 'children are a blessing from God'. 21st century children have nothing to offer but to make you worry. Below are some of the things I noticed....... |
you never jam @ o.p. Girls are bolder these days. Dem get one urhobo girl I date one time. She fit even suck your pweek rise to bang you when u dey unconscious
|
fykes:pheww... That's a whole lot to do. Mind you, I'm not from an 'ajebo' family where one can easily display affection and show a penitent heart. Where I come from, we show we are sorry through our deeds |
yeah! My boys are on it. Not even the pope in Rome can stop our wonder trio. YNWA
|
Ishilove:huh? Madam THOMAS. If I may ask, what is there to doubt about my stories. Is it the one I say I gamble? Or I hate my father? Or I pushed my mum? It's obvious you didn't grow up in the ghetto. There are people even worse than me, here |
SenatorAiyzik:Hmm... Don't have a good job that can make me pack out yet.if I manage to pay rent on my own, what about the furnishing. I'll need like two years to do that |
lonikit:bro, we somehow settle. I wonder why she lets things escalate before she behaves well |
biacan:Yea... The name is deliberate because I'm yet to achieve anything reasonable. It's not just me though. A lot of youths are wasting away |
LonelyHeart627:Hmm.. I doubt if there's a feature of nairaland enabling one to change moniker |
eosigwe:I wanna be my own boss |
LonelyHeart627:Wow.. You're a magician. I only contributed half of the money (15k) |
SenatorAiyzik:she has even started cursing me already. She said that my children will treat me worse like a goat, amongst other curses. my dad added his after he was informed. Hmmm.......
|
I got the temper from my dad. How do i avoid future clashes. I love mum more than dad but she keeps getting in my way. I normally leave to work when she starts complaining or I used earpiece. I adopted the second option since today is a public holiday but she still provoked me.. What do I do to avoid her? Pls don't suggest moving out. I can't cope on my own. Hmm... Maybe I'm just an ingrate/brat. The tough times she passed through during her time with my dad is also partly to blame for her psychological issues |
the screen cracked in the process. The screen cracked in the process. I was made with rage. She noticed and fled to her room. Without premeditation, I went after her and pushed her down. Hmm... The biggest mistake I made out of anger and due to the fact that I'm short-tempered. I feel bad like the other time I blew her. I had made a decision to avoid her to avoid this situation but she keeps crossing my path. Phewww... Thank God nothing happened to her. I still care but I'm allergic to nagging. |
Hmm... I'm repulsive because of what I just did. My mum started with her rants again. She insisted I give her the 1500 naira she used to buy fuel for 5 days for the IPassMyNeighbour . We've been experiencing power outage for 3 months now. I ignored because I have nothing to give her. Although I promised to pay but couldn't meet up. She noticed I was using an earpiece and ignoring her. She pushed my new phone down (worth 30k) |
Abang52:SMH
|
Kobicove:yea, kini? |
Supreme01:nor mind me. easy with the vituperations. we quarrel but settle afterwards. see the language I used on her as ghetto-boy language |
joff2:Hmm... ''........enjoy long life on earth'' But one may be respectful and alive but not living. I'm not all that bad. Do you know I gave her my hard earned 30k to pay for 3 months rent. Instead she sent it to my elder brother. How do you explain that? Some of her actions make me lose make me lose respect for her |
Shugavee:your ear! You that is a good child, what have you achieved? Can you boast of ordinary 100k in your account? Admit that most parents have failed in setting up their children to progress. Can you imagine imade, davido's small daughter wears a chain (worth millions) that can buy 2 human kidney. Chei! |
lilyheaven:Hmm... Ego, I guess is my problem now I'm grown up. I don't want any bossing around coz I'm in charge (i work and she doesn't) . |
Nofav0rs:sarcasm or direct compliment ![]() |
Oluwasaeon:come on! We all insult them at some point in time when we are disappointed with one thing or the other |
BOTTOM LINE: plan your finances well in order not to lose face in front of your children. |
I also find myself unconsciously insulting her at will. Like this evening, she was screaming and asking why I didn't wash the plates. You won't believe I said 'mental patient, stop misbehaving!' I know my action was bad but her current status caused it. Surprisingly, she doesn't react much to my insults as she knows she's got nothing to pin me down |
during a particular epoch, I would do whatever my mum asks because there was a condition attached. Like 'if you don't wash the plates there will be no food for you.' That was when she had money and was influential. But now she's poor, her voice annoys me. She can't threaten me with food again because there's hardly money to cook. Even when she gets little, she cooks 'concoction' foods that are not appealing. |
guy, wise up! |
Rayhandrinni:thank you my brother for that statement |
