i can't help but agree. I have a lackadaisical approach to life. Probably because she made life 'too soft' for me. These days, I hardly listen to her caution or instruction. I guess i'm beyond repair now.

As for your advice of getting occupied with something, it works to some extent before i find it boring and then the desire to explore enters me......

Now, i find myself falling into one trouble or the other because my mum is always there to bail me out. Maybe when she's no more, i'll sit up and face life. Although, i don't want to imagine that scenario yet because she makes life a little bit easy for me.

Then it dawned on me that i'm the way i am because of my mother. During the time we were 'comfortable,' she over-pampered me. I guess i'm an unrepentant brat now.

She would always exonerate me from any wrongdoing while i was growing up. I guess it's because i am a boy. All the work and discipline went to the girls

I know what you're probably thinking as you read the caption of my thread [bizarre!].

But i sat down to really analyse my bad habits. What can really change me? Our priest has tried, my parents, elders, co-workers and so on.

I find myself going back to my gambling, dubious life and aggressive behaviour after a little period of remorse. Even my arrest at a point and ill-health could not yield to a long-term positive change.

We are together....but mama said I would feel different once I have my own...
But I told her, it's not like I hate children, ofcourse they are adorable and cute...but their drama and the way they affect ur decision of relocation and travel in life is just what I'm not cut out for.
At the end of the day, they grow up and all they wanna do is leave you..

as in eh... There are a lot to consider before talking of children. For me, taking care of myself is already enough stress, i can't come and kill myself on top other people [wife and children]

hmm.. I see but life's a teacher. We learn from experience. Girls are hardly 100 percent loyal these days except they are married to you.

We shouldn't take decisions when we are angry so you don't regret it. So try and forget by distracting your self with a game or hobby or go out with friends. Or work on mending your relationship with your mama[the only woman that deserves special care].

Just see it as you helping some one in need. It's better than me who was a heavy gambler [blowing money to thin air]. If she comes begging later, fine. Then you change the rules of the game.

I've stopped entering a public transport where mothers lap children. Their carefree children step on people in those kind of buses. The final straw was when one vomited and it splashed on my body. I was pissed off. The most scary experience will be if a girl gets pregnant for me. I'm not cut out for fatherhood sh*t.

Who else feels this way?

I also get uncomfortable at the office too because about four of my colleagues have children at their infancy state. They expect me to lend a helping hand at times but i can't. When their babies cry, i distance myself and send for the mother. You don't expect me to carry them. I dn't wanna mess up my clothing. Imagine when they defecate on you in the process - nauseating

Children are annoying set of creatures. I doubt if i'll raise one myself.

Where i live, a lot of children litter the compound (probably due to lack of family planning by my co-tenants). I've grown wearied telling them to stay off my properties. Their stupid plays lead them to destroy one thing or the other at my verandah

I don't think i have any addiction, since i am a master of my own self and not a slave to my strong desires..

I think while growing up, after my waec and neco exams in 2010, i developed this love for books, i read all types of articles and books online, PDF and hard copies..
And it greatly helped me in being a master of my desires.

My emails is filled with PDF of spiritual books, Christian and books relating to the spirit world, how they are, how to recognize and how to overcome..

With all this, I've learn when to act and when to chill..

Life is not just about mathematics and School certificate..
The real knowledge of life are not taught in school..

knowledge is indeed power.

Sometimes when i open my mouth to spill some knowledge to my friends,, they all get scared and run away like I'm some kind of alien..

I've had a handful of the aforementioned but I think I can make an easy pick. Gambling pushed me to square one within a twinkle of an eye. All I laboured to build was gone within the twinkle of an eye. Nearly loss my life to it as well

youths while growing up and learning from life, make a lot of mistakes. They get addicted to one habit or the other which affects them negatively. So the question is: which addiction is the hardest to stop?

- pilfering/scamming

- reckless spending

- womanising/self-servicing

- gambling

- hard drugs

- phone addiction (more than 12 hours a day)

- carefree attitude etc
