The man set a terrible precedence for kidnapping of regular hardworking people with the 'kidnapper billionaire' name becoming a fancy title for criminals. The whole of 2022 and 2023 when there was record high inflation of 30-40 years old in Canada and USA, interest rates were increased severally to combat the inflation. Inflation is now trending downwards, it is on that basis, interest rates are reduced.

Nigerias case and what triggered inflation in my opinion is predominantly govt. Printing a lof of excess money, which triggered "Artificial"inflation. So a typical solution may not completely work.
