anonimi: How do you know that the statement from the Lagos state official is true? How Have you heard the saying that:
Why can't you ask the question of where the aloku scrap metal trains Fashola spent borrowed $1 billion on in Toronto since 2011 are? Why is that so difficult for you to ask? My first paragraph was that FG unexpectedly failed to guarantee one of the tranche of loan, that is not a one sided story. That messed up Lasg effort /plan on the light rail. |

anonimi: Was Lagos state aligned with the centre when Jonathan approved $1 billion World Bank loan for this same project? Was it FG unexpectedly withheld approval to guaranteee one of the tranche of the loan , and the project suffered for it then look at this “It took us four and half years to get approval for the project. It took us another four years to get them to discuss the technicality of the project with us. This is terribly bad !, shame on FG playing childish politics on such a worthwhile development |

Benefits of Lagos state aligning party wise with the centre.
Ambode is very fortunate, and he must maximise the benefits.
Buhari will want to redeem his image also on the railway issue, after he was accused of scuttling the Lagos metro line project by jakande in 1984.
I see he has done lots of redemption in the last 5 months |

If we harness the 2013 and 2015 u 17 talents properly, Nigeria can win the 2022 world cup. These 2015 set of boys are not far from 17 years. They should be within 18-20 yrs age bracket, which is fair enough. |

Fayose is like the village school maths teacher, who maths students like to stay in his class, because he will make them laugh from his funny jokes in class, that is not bad, but the problem is Fayose, the village school maths teacher sucks at the maths he is primarily meant to impart on his students. |

Forget about loopholes, you cant plug loopholes for non-existent funds. The emboldened is your fallacy, it is NOT CAST IN STONE that crude must drive 70% of our budget. Our Revenue Will Double with RIMS Introduction, Says NPA Boss
11 Sep 2015 http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/our-revenue-will-double-with-rims-introduction-says-npa-boss/219917/
The Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Habib Abdullahi has said revenue generated revenue is set to double in the months ahead following the introduction of “Integrated Revenue Invoicing Management System (RIMS)” by the Authority.
RIMS, was launched week at an impressive ceremony, which attracted several stakeholders in the maritime industry.
The NPA boss said the introduction of RIMS was aimed at addressing the rot in the ports operations and blocking revenue leakages in the system.
Abdullahi told THISDAY in Lagos that apart from blocking the revenue leakages, going by the agency’s projections, its generated revenue would double in 2016 .
According to him, this would not only boost the nation's economy but would meet financial expectations of the federal government in the months ahead. NNPC + NLNG + NPA+ NCS +NIMASA +FIRS +CBN are the top revenue generating agencies and you will be surprised how much can be made from each of them. FIRS Generates N4.69tn Revenue in 2014
The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) said on Thursday that it generated N4.69 trillion from taxes for the federal government in 2014.
FIRS said in its Quarterly Revenue Report issued in Abuja that the figure surpassed its target for the year by about N400 billion. The report showed that the 2014 revenue was about N106 billion less than that of 2013, which stood at N4.80 trillion.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the revenue was derived from petroleum profit and non-oil taxes, including income tax, gas income, capital gain tax, stamp duty and Value Added Tax (VAT).
The report also indicated that N2.45 trillion, representing 52.96 per cent, was collected from petroleum profit tax while N2.24 trillion, representing 47.04 per cent, was collected from non-oil taxes during the period.
A breakdown of the total collection showed that company income tax contributed N1.18 trillion; N10.83 billion from gas income; N2.59 billion from capital gain tax and N10.94 billion from stamp duty.
The VAT, comprising Nigeria Customs Service Import VAT and Non-Import VAT, according to the period, contributed N802.95 billion of the total non-oil taxes collection during the period.
The report also said that other non-oil taxes collected were Education Tax, N189.61 billion; N53.28 billion from Consolidated Account and N9.91 billion from National Information Technology Development Fund (NITDEF) levy.
The report further showed that N1.05 trillion was collected in the first quarter while N1.45 trillion was collected in the second quarter. It also indicated that N1.19 trillion was collected in the third quarter and N1 trillion was collected in the fourth quarter. |

Flets: This government should be reminded that elections are over. Enough of these noises as reality have set in already.
Lets do some simple mathematics. Nigeria's total crude production currently hovers at 2M barrel per day, but I will assume 2.5M barrel for sake of optimism Crude oil sells at slightly above $40/ barrel but I will assume $45/ barrel Most JV agreements with Oil corporations stands at an average of 60% for Nigerian govt. Cost of production of oil for most companies stand at almost 50% but I will assume 30% (optimist case) and then 70% profit Only about 52% of total earnings goes to the FG, the remaining goes to state allocations and host state derivation Assuming an exchange rate 200 naira per dollar and 365 days a year
Federal Government can make approximately 1.8 trillion naira from crude sales for 2016 optimally. Details below so 2.5Million x $45 x 60% x 70% x 52% x 200 x 365 = 1.8 Trillion Naira
Historically, crude has formed about 70% of our budgets.... following same logic, total budget can only be 2.6 trillion Naira (1.8Trillion/ 70%)
Even if we increase taxes, collapse all tax and duty exemptions and without any diversification efforts by the current government, we will be lucky to add another 1trillion the 2.6 trillion to make it a maximum of 3.6 trillion.
So realistically speaking, 8 trillion FG budget is impossible for 2016. Propagandically speaking, APC govt have said it and they believe their zombies will believe it. You underestimate revenues from FIRS, NPA, Customs, Immigration, , those 4 agencies alone can easily rake in nothing less than 6 thrillion/annum. Put in mind that FG makes over 9 thrillion Naira in the yesteryears as total revenue, from which it keeps 52%, over 4.5 thrillion . Customs in 2015 had a target of 944 billion naira, if loopholes are plugged, it will easily make over 1 thrillion naira in 2016, Single treasury account will also plug loopholes with many FG agencies. |

I can't even remember the last time I saw any of those boys t represented us that same year on TV Such is life, Nigerian players not breaking in to the world stage is not necessarily caused by Age cheating, infact i dont think age cheating is the primary reason, In my opinion, the countrys economy is the primary reason, as it tends to affect the country's league which should manage and nurture the boys. Imagine a 17 year old guy signed to Nigeria Premier league team where the training kits is mediocre, where he is barely paid his salary, his feeding regime is poor, e.t.c such a player football development is gradually getting stunted, and losing morale, he is surrounded by very poor family members who look up to him, and if any overseas career oppotunity comes, he signs hastily and many a times makes wrong choices . |

my friends too wonder, they say with my status ladies should be all over me. they say i dont take them serious. i am not gay and wil never be.
i agree my job leaves me little room to go out because i work almost every day. in fact in a whole month i have just 2 free weekends. 2 days out of which i still go to work.
is there something i can do to be in a healthy relationship. i desire to have a balance.
Thanks in anticipation I understand your plight , i suggest you try out the social media, but not dating sites. How about using facebook? Just search facebook page of the friends of your friends of their friends friend for chics , Start with checking some of their photos, comments, educational background, estimated age, If you see what you like at least physically, send facebook friendship requests., weed of married or "in relationship with" from the pool you will send friend requests. They will accept, but not all, at least at the immediate. Then initiate conversations with no romantic tone, be economical with the truth when they ask how you knew them , you can say"i was searching out for a friend with your same surname bla bla,......." just gist ,and gist,......that way you get to know her, you can turn on the romantic tone, when you sense interest in her, and then you schedule a meeting. Trust me, it works, it worked perfectly for my friend, who had a rich taste, and a somewhat narrow pool of quality of life partner. He is now happily married with the lady |

Firefire: How can revenue increase when the currently generated revenue are being diverted by the people in charge?
If revenue will increase, don't you know it is the ordinary Nigerians that will pay the increase ?
If FIRS increase its drive for compliance without first blocking all the present loopholes, you will see all businesses in Nigeria applying 5 percent VAT and the prices of goods and services will increase across the country which will then fuel hyperinflation.
The govt. should first address the issue of revenue diversion before thinking of making any attempt to increase Nigerians burden and suffering.
Shalom! There is a new admin , i dont think Diezani is still min of petroleum, or Umaru Dikko is still customs boss. Yes Nigerians will account for the increase in revenue , but not just Nigerians or ordinary Nigerians ,it will also include who ever has anything to do with Nigeria. The NCC just fined MTN 1thrillion naira , i am certain MTN will pay at the very least a good fraction of that fine in to federation account. First bank and Ecobank were also fined for failing to comply with TSA, and you can bet they will all pay. Import Tarriff waiver on Rice to mostly government cronies got suspended e.t.c This admin will surely block loopholes, the first 6 months of this admin runs out by November ending, i call it the honeymoon period, the Next 6 months thereafter will be a different tempo. It wont come easy no doubt, but the impact will be clearly visible by Middle of 2017, I can bet. |
