FamilyRe: Why Is Divorce Not An Option For Most Nigerian Women? by chineloSA(f): 12:00pm On Nov 06, 2013
greatgod2012: don't be naive my brother, many financially independent women are also abused, especially when they marry someone who is below their level educationally or professionally or who do not earn up to what they're earning.
Just last week, a colleague of mine was physically and brutally abused by her half baked educated husband of hers, claiming he was trying to trim her wings, as she seems to be too proud because she's earning more than him.
Such men are wounded lions and are more likely to suffer from inferiority complex.
May God help us from such men.
I am a woman please. cheesy cheesy cheesy

I have dealt with a lot of abused woman in my line of work. I can tell you that the most common problem is economic inequality, hence there is a great focus on woman empowerment on a National or international level ( well supposedly in Nigeria ). You agree with me or dont and you understand it or you dont!!!!! undecided undecided undecided undecided

I have done alot of academic research which has proven that. Though I do not have time to refer you to all the Research papers, governmental reports, UN reports etc. All over the world economic power has been the common denominator. I am not saying other factors do not also contribute, they do, but financial power has been a common denominator.

I would advice you to take your time and also interact with abused victims and ask them what stops them from leaving and also read information sources quoted above .Don't do one eye scanning research and conclude.

You may read this if you want to. smiley smiley smiley smiley

FamilyRe: Why Is Divorce Not An Option For Most Nigerian Women? by chineloSA(f): 11:04am On Nov 06, 2013
I cannot fully blame the woman. Alot of woman stay in abusive marriages because of financial dependence. Which sometimes they bring upon themselves ( by allowing to stay at home because a man suggests so), laziness or because of unemployment situation.

Name a financially independent person who tolerates any kind of abuse.

Give all woman Economic Power and Freedom, things will turn around. undecided undecided undecided

Foreign AffairsRe: Maine Candidate For Governor Announces He's Gay by chineloSA(f): 12:04am On Nov 06, 2013
beryl04: Back to topic,I think and some how believe America is a forward thinking society.if Americans can elect a black man to d white house,I see no reason why an openly gay governor will not stand a chance.cases like this one always attracts a swing vote cos even the republicans themselves will be divided as some of them are also gays. and others will be sympathetic to the guys' cause and daaayuuum, that baba is also very handsome and charming, and yes American voters consider those, too! at the end of the day, the issues that might decide his winning or otherwise will be something far more removed from the issues of his sexuality.
Wish him all the best.
In future, Yes. I don't see it in the nearest future. Remember how long did it take for the black man to be elected. Very long. Also remember some states in the US its still not accepted ( gay marriages ), not all states smiley smiley smiley

FamilyRe: Whose Surname Should The Baby Bear? by chineloSA(f): 9:59pm On Nov 05, 2013
lorretta u: The man said he doesn't want the child. What's the brouhaha for again?
Why force a child to answer the name of a person who doesn't want them.if they grow up and notice they have a different surname from the others, what will you tell them? Your father rejected you but I named u after him anyways.
Hian.
He doesn't want the child.leave him alone. Abort the foetus or give birth to it and name them after yourself and your family. Or they can be a unique baby and not have a surname like Jesus(I don't knw his surnme) or Abraham(not sure he had a surname too)

People can stress themselves sha.

Person no want child u dey force am give am pikin undecided
True. Personally I would give the child my surname. Then he becomes my brother cheesy cheesy cheesy
RomanceRe: No Girl Is A Saint by chineloSA(f): 5:50pm On Nov 05, 2013
Emeralddeee: When I see post like this I wonder how intelligent the op is. The word ''no'' means all in the context of your posts if you had used most or some it would have been logical to a large extent. I wonder where you got your statistics from, using no shows that you affirm that you mum, sisters are also in the category you mentioned. You mean to tell me that in your whole life you've never seen a decent girlhuh That's a huge fallacy, the fact that you've been beaten made you turn preacher abihuh Let me correct your mentality a girl cannot hinder you from achieving your set goals unless you have misplaced priority, more so no one is a Saint guys also misbehave. If you are looking for a Saint you're gonna grow old, everyone has his or her own flaws. If you can live with it fine, if you can't fine. Don't just go about generalising ok that's too shallow experience has thought me that.
OP, suffers from naivity. Hence he believed that his gf is a Saint from the beginning. Wake up from that dream, come back to the world grin grin grin
In Jesus name, naivity leave this man. Amen. tongue tongue

OP, To live a fulfilling life, stop having high expectations for anybody. Accept that we are all humans including your handsome self and we are bound to faulter. Your own parents can disappoint you, how much more a gf/bf.

I cant imaging a life without my baby bears imperfections. Who am I gonna shout when he is perfect.
Tufiakwa. I want a human and also imperfect man oooo. Or else I will go crazy with all the calm and perfection in the house ( which doesnt exist of cause). cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

masonkz: Back to topic.

Do you guys think this guy stands the chance with this new publicity? Obviously it's not a publicity stunt, and I guess many of the democrats would like him.
I don't think he stands a chance. American society is also stereotypical o. They have accepted gays but not completely undecided undecided
Foreign AffairsRe: Maine Candidate For Governor Announces He's Gay by chineloSA(f): 5:26pm On Nov 05, 2013
masonkz: Mine would probably do same. And I know someday they'll come to know about me. So I'm preparing for it by trying to be totally independent from them, while still maintaining the family bond. I'm doing this so it will at least save me and them some emotional trauma that may come with the whole "disowning" threat.
All the best when you do decide. But I think the best is to be caught, then to tell grin grin grin
