Erm, Rihanna CAN sing. I don't get this whole "you don't write your own songs so you can't sing" talk. How many artistes really write their own songs? Most have them written for them except for rappers, I guess. @topic, is that the album cover? That's a force ![]() |
@topic, same with atheists. Takes two to tangle. ![]() |
So, everyone on that list is an atheist? Great!! ![]() |
Pidgin English is synonymous to Ebonics. Nothing wrong with speaking either one when in the company of family/friends. We all know they're still not accepted in formal settings. The n-word on the other hand, is not a language. It's a racist word modified. A word attached to a stigma. There's no use arguing it. It's not the same as pidgin English. It's the origin that bothers me. |
A milli - Lil' wayne/Cory Gunz (muthafucka I'm ill. . .not sick) ![]() |
^^LOL exactly. I don't get how we're so "ugly" yet they don't mind being around us with their oh-so-beautiful selves without being coerced to be here. The mind truly boggles, like Spikedcylinder would say. ![]() |

Beaf:I love Tupac!! Even though I might not always agree with his messages. I just realized that I didn't really answer the original question. I can't really say if it's inferiority complex, mostly ignorance. Trying stupidly to assimilate on the part of Africans/Nigerians who use the word. You don't pronounce differently a word that's used to stigmatize your people and expect the meaning to change. It's a bad word, point-blank. period. |
Only Nigerians will take a huge amount of money from someone and think it's a "dash". She never told you she was lending indeed. LOL I can't shout. |
Ok, Beaf . . .this has nothing to do with being a hip hop listener. Just like teen violence is blamed on hip hop, the use of the n-word alike. Yes, these rappers fuel the issue with their messages but these teens- are they stupid or what not to be able to discern right from wrong? If you choose to listen to rappers and not your parents then you're on your own. Hip hop doesn't tell you to do ANYTHING. Mandingo, didn't know you're still strolling these boards with your lame lines. If you aren't obsessed with Nigeria/Nigerians then "Obsession" must have a new meaning. Blah! |
if calling random people u dont know nigga tickles your fancy, then go ahead think i give a damn? if the poster is sincerely looking for answers,i am trying to provide him one millions of black and brown folks in america use that word daily,if u dont like it well tough luck and as for white folks calling us blacks nigger?,of course they do,as soon as we leave the room
Seinfield didn't wait for y'all to leave the room. |
^^ Same 'ol excuse they always come up with. It's not a good thing, sorry. Black people who use the word can claim there's a difference between "nigga" and "ni**er". Believe it or not, it's the same shit. Why do they get mad when white people use the supposedly "well-meaning" word? Abeg!! If you use it, best expect others to use it while addressing you regardless of their race. @topic, it's not my word but I can assure you that I've used it in a sarcastic way anyway. If you call yourself a nigga, that's fine by me because I WILL call you one. |
LOL Omotola is a G!!! ![]() |
Yes Yes!!! that's the title!!! Thanks ![]() Now I'm going to watch it. lol it's been a while. |
LOL @ the comments. I was wondering the same thing oo |
LOL just take care, boo. And don't get sick. Medication is your friend. ![]() |
Ah, that's how it starts. Start taking something, preferably Dayquil before it gets worse. |
^^Aww, don't get sick, hun. Mine's over, it was horrible. I don't wish it on anyone. ![]() |
I know what you mean when you say "party-like jollof rice", I don't think there are specific spices used to give it that taste. My best conclusion is that it tastes that way because it's cooked in large quantity and spacious cooking utensil. |
What's with the hating? Of course she's certainly not the best Nollywood has to offer but I'm sure the award isn't for the greatest of all time, it's probably a "best actress of the year" thing. So what? the same people can't win every year. Allow her the little fame she's getting. Good Girl:Haha, I remember this movie where she comes from a poor home but goes to the city for college or something and acts like her parents are loaded. She was hilarious!!! Living a fake life. She would tell her friends from the city that she's going abroad when she wants to go visit her mom in the village. My fave Omotola movie, can't remember the title though, it's at the tip of my tongue. |
LOL. Retards. @topic, not if they aren't any better than the older ones. ![]() |
LOL, Nairaland. |
LOL, heard her emotional announcement and all. Maybe the older folks will miss the show but most ppl don't really care. I stopped watching that show since when I was probably 10. Then, I used to watch it with my mom. ![]() |
Thanksgiving!!! Gotta get these shits done by Wednesday. Rest finally!!! Boston, here I come. ![]() I miss my baby!! |
@poster, what exactly do you mean by "young"?, last time I checked there's a minimum age for someone running for presidency. I believe it's 35 in the U.S. Abeg, age is NOT just a number, it might not always determine wisdom but it sure is an important factor. I don't think Nigeria's problems lies with the ages of the previous presidents and the current one. It's just the mind-set they had before running for presidency. A young president can still be corrupt depending on what he hopes to achieve by being in that position. |
Riskie:For realz Chei, that dude is hilarious!!! Music is just NOT for some people.
Another sub par effort from the Shady/Aftermath camp! These guys should go and rest abeg they've made enuff dinheiro and should stop killing us with noise. This album is not even as good as Wale's Attention Deficit or K'Naan's Troubadour (That Somalian boy is the Truth) never mind BP3 or Deeper Than Rap. I really hope this is Fif's last album you can't drop three straight weak albums consecutively in baseball thats a strike out
40 boy, don't kill me with laughter!!! "Beautiful" is tight, that's about it for me. LOL @bush meat, Gators. . you're mean!! ![]() Did I see somebody mention Beanie Siegel? LOL that's a funny joke, haha. ![]() @topic, "ok ok you're right" ![]() |
