newintexas:Oh really? different weather, huh? so where do you prefer? Is egg roll the same as scotch egg? there are no recipes for 'egg roll' on that website |
LOOOOL, I swear this is too funny. If you're going to diss someone, just diss them. No need trying to gather posse and stuff - The whole Chris brown, G-unit, Kanye/Amber Rose, T-pain, DJ Khaled thing was absolutely irrelevant. Na so Game dey kiss ass reach? It makes one look weak when you can't even fight your battles w/o bringing others into it. Those names he mentioned probably don't give two shits about him. ![]() Besides, don't they get tired of using the same ole 'big lips' line? it was funny when Nas did it but it's getting boring now. sheesh!! Now, I really want to listen to this diss. |
People can be very nosy on facebook though and some people like their privacy. That's why you see people who are in relationships having their status as single. I recently changed my status to "In a relationship", see nosy people @poster, maybe the guy is the secretive type. But he shouldn't ask you to change yours to "In a relationship" if his reads "single". Anywayz, you two sound confused. ![]() |

What insult? Rihanna of yesterday. Rihanna is pretty no lie but I think Adaeze is prettier. maybe I'm biased too. And yes, they do look alike in the first pic. . .maybe it's the short hair. |
Psh, of course I PMS ![]() |

Well, this is sad. Y'all can click on the link to vote. 555 pounds is too much for a 14-yr-old. I personally don't think it's child abuse but the child should be taken away from the mother since she's obviously doing something wrong. |
@Tope2000!, Yes @poster, use milk instead of water. you can find these recipes online and if you can't, I'll help you find 'em when I have the time. |
westcodes:LOL He def said 'Nigerian hair'. ![]() |
Hmm. . .typical of Beyonce. . .Drama queen to the fullest. That's what I love about her though. She rocked the short hair really well. Not feeling the video too much but I'll grow into it, I always do. ![]() |

Green white Green = money drugs money?? what a retard!! I can agree with the money part though. Anywayz, who's this vector dude? |
(July 21) - The case of a 555-pound South Carolina teenager has legal and health experts throughout the country considering whether child obesity is a form of child abuse, according to a report in USA Today. Alexander Draper, 14, is now in foster care and his mother, Jerri Gray, was arrested in June and charged with criminal neglect. Gray, 49, said she was doing all she could to help her son lose weight. Her attorney said if his client is found guilty, it would "set a precedent that opens Pandora's box." South Carolina mom Jerri Gray faces felony child neglect charges over her son, Alexander Draper, 14, who weighs 555 pounds. They made national headlines when they were reported missing in May, and were found later that month in Baltimore. Gray told CBS News that she works late shifts, which leaves her little time to prepare healthy meals for her son. http://news.aol.com/health/article/555-pound-boy/581522?icid=webmail |
That's what I'll say.If she's just coming to Boston for a year or 2, a small space is all she needs. Chiogo do they still have the Filene's basement at downtown crossing? I practically lived in that place and always sat and had hot dogs on the hotdog stand right by that street corner
Nope, it's been closed down last year, I think. But the sign still says Filene's basement. Haha, the hot dog stands are still there sha. naliakar:LOL, that's a lie. Filene's is def not my store. I went there during the last sale before it got closed, couldn't find anything nice. ![]() PS: I'm a female. |
LOL @ Savanaha ezeagu:Umm, speak for yourself. I've never used the word, 'Akata' before. I've only typed it on threads here on nairaland. And about Igbos calling anyone black in the diaspora 'igbo', where did you get that from? ![]() |
i don't know anything abt grad school but chiogo is right about undergrad. so many kids with perfect SAT,GPA, extracurricular what have u apply to harvard that they have to use other criteria beside "smart" to screen applicants. most applicants ARE smart. you just have to stand out with some story or achievement ie be black or hispanic from the ghetto, extremely poor, have cancer, win some national spelling bee, have celebrity parents, alumni relations etc something special to make u stand out. even being chinese, japanese, korean, indian doesn't cut it anymore as they're not considered minority. even the smartest ones get rejected unless the parents are ubber loaded of course or ubber poor lol the middle class suffer the most with these elite schools
Exactly!! you get it.
@osisi, You mentioned Tufts. I wonder, are you in the Boston area? My sister is starting her Masters degree at Tufts next month. We are still looking for an apartment for her. Would appreciate if you live around there and can help. I'll likely be flying into Boston next week with her.
Living on campus is cheaper. Apartments are not bad either but some can be really expensive unless she's looking for a studio. |
@FL Gators, lol never that. Racist or not I'll still go to a school I want, wetin concern me? I just don't like BU even before I heard the racist thing. Even Amherst is mostly white, trust me. I went to my orientation and I saw only a handful of black people. It's fine anyway, I've been with way too many black people from high school - time for change! ![]() davidylan:It's different for graduate school joo. Undergraduate is for making money basically. Of course if you have an outstanding score on your MCAT, most med schools will want you. Rich or not. |
That is also not true. They look for smart people Even if you father has millions that won't get you in if you don't have the grades BU is more expensive than Harvard do you know that?
Yeah, I know. I don't even like BU. That's an extremely racist school. I'm not hating oo. ![]() Smart people indeed, someone I know knows someone who went to Harvard. This boy is anything but smart but his parents got the ch-ching! He even admitted he didn't like the school and also described it as 'snobby'; his parents made him go there. He dropped out. Ok, let's say you're from the ghetto and have poor parents and you have a 4.0 GPA and someone else is from a rich background with a 3.8 GPA. Bear in mind that the mininum GPA they require is 3.6. who do you think they're going to accept? The one with 3.8(at least s(he) passed the mininum) and his/her parents can fund the school, making it richer. That's the point everyone is trying to make. Of course, smart people go to Harvard but being smart doesn't always get you in. |
Orange line? Malden chic abi na Roxbury babe
none of the above. ![]()
yes o It's always they are stuck up they are rich which is all lies someone in my family is a harvard alumnus and we had no shishi The first requirement are the grades and your academic ranking. Get a perfect SAT score and they'll be pleading to train you with full scholarship.
Like I mentioned earlier, they look for either extremely rich or extremely poor people. you have to be extra smart if you're extremely poor though. LOL. |
LOL, at least he's kinda good with grammar. ![]() Yes, he does have an album coming out. Anywayz, this drama of theirs is getting old. There's never an excuse for hitting a woman but I heard Rihanna used to hit him a lot until he retaliated that day. I think women should also stop, some use being a woman as an excuse to do whatever and later cry weak. I stopped liking Chris after the whole drama though but thinking of it now, how is it any of my business? LOL Make we listen to new album jare. ![]() |
Notice how nose, ears, and mouth are similar in igbo and yoruba. |
FL Gators:Many people don't. I know this lady whose daughter was accepted at both Harvard and Yale and she picked Yale 'cause according to her daughter, Harvard people are 'too stuck up'. I like Harvard sha but I don't think it's the best, it's just a really rich school. |
where in Boston do you live Just say the train stop if you're near one
LOL so that what will happen? orange line. |
I don't follow the whole ranking thing but last year I heard something about it not making even 3rd place. . don't know how true that was. Besides, Americans always like to hype their stuff and the whole world accepts. I don't think Harvard is better than Oxford University. |
LOL high cheek bones coo low cheek bones nee copy? Nah, never that. ![]() |
$$osisi, you know the rank keeps changing every year. I don't believe it was #1 last year. Anywayz, it's still a good school but it's overrated in certain aspects. And the one in Cambridge is for undergraduates. |
Never understood the high cheek bone thingy. Is it the same as bony cheeks? 'cause that's what these models have. Don't want them sha. I love dimples, got some. |
JeSoul:Hey, you're scarce on the NBA thread. Well, so am I. . .missed ya Yes, you're right. . .my calculus teacher in high school who's white told me they look for two categories of people: people from extremely poor background with low-income parents and people from a wealthy background whose parents can sponsor the school. You have to be really intelligent to be in the first category, not so much for the second. Unfortunately, I fall into neither categories. My parents are not wealthy but we're not poor either. Their wahala too much sef. |
Na wa oo. . . I wanted to go to Harvard though, still do - racism or not. I'm racist too! Guess I wasn't good enough. But yeah the racial disparity was pretty glaring since I started being curious about the school. Their undergraduate is made up of 8% blacks. And yes, JeSoul is right. . .Harvard is way overrated!!! High prestige works these days though in terms of employment after college. That's a sad story for Mr. Gates. . .still disrespected after all he's achieved. sad sad. ![]() |
