largehead:Bros you just want to show us say you don build new house. Congratulations though. |
Sweetguy25:You just spewed out rubbish out of ignorance. These are public servants and should be readily reached by the people they govern. What good is It if you have a governor and he cannot be contacted for anything? If they do not want the people they govern (and who elected them into office) to reach them, then they should vacate the office. |
“There is no such proposal or bill on the creation of grazing reserves either in the Senate or House of Representatives.Kai, this man can lie o. There is a sitting house of rep member who is spearheading the sponsorship of this bill. He had an interview with Channels two days back. Is Ekweremadu trying to say he does not know about this. This is how they deny till the bill enters its 3rd hearing. |
By Emeka MamahExample of an unprofessional report from our seasoned reporter. The first and the second emboldened section vehemently and blatantly oppose each other. Any reader will be simply confused as to when the Fulani and Hausa me ran away from Enugu; was before or after the Monday's attack? |
The victim reportedly celebrated her 70th birthday, some weeks back in Ilaro, the headquarters of Yewaland and was being rumoured to be nursing ambition of governorship in 2019.At 70years and nursing governorship ambition?? Truly in Nigeria the old and elderly are the leaders or tomorrow! |
treebuds:And you think if federal government take people's lands all over the country to build raches will solve this problem? Please rethink my dear. You will simply aggravate the issue if you know how these people reason. |
Mr. OP, please stop giving conflicting and false / misleading information to the public. The police report you did well to attach says 6 people were killed and 11 injured. This matches the account of an eye witness who also told his story here on nairaland. Your write-up says 500 people and you gave a source as a social media site. This is the reason I actually don't like social media because every Tom dick and Harry becomes a reporter, giving false information to the public and consciously or unconsciously causing unnecessary public unrest. Nairaland in fast becoming one of those rumuour sites. Honestly, I do not come to this site as often as I used to as I see much more gabbage everyday. Moderators, you guys are not helping matters as you do not scrutinise stories before putting them on front page. More than 50% of stories on the front page do not even deserve to be there. Moderators please do not kill Nairaland. |

Peritus:Bros Happy Sunday! Only one bottle dey make you jonze?! LOL. One bottle for me na to open belle. I still have my strong will and sanity intact. My simple take: Alcohol in itself is not a sin to consume. However, watch it so you don't get drunk. Drunkards are the once that will not inherit the kingdom of God (1st Corinth 6:10). So the question is what quantity will make you drunk? Besides note that a drunkard is one that forms the habit of getting drunk at the slightest opportunity. Also the acts you do when drunk also can be sinful. So to be on the safe side of things, if you know you cannot handle it, fight to overcome the temptation of taking alcohol, not even a sip. For those that drink, avoid getting drunk. For those that just started (in order to measure the quantity that would get you drunk), once you get drunk, go to bed, then avoid alcohol entirely or at least don't get to the level to makes you drunk so you don't form the habit of drinking to stupor and becoming a drunkard, thus missing the kingdom of heaven. For all, abstinence is always the best (just like in premarital sex) so you will not tempt temptation. ![]() |
My candid opinion: I DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING IN NIGERIA WITHOUT PRINTABLE FACTS Sorry to say, someone disputing an allegation publicly is not fact. Lets wait till see a certified published list or excerpts of some documentS before I will believe if he has anything to do with Panama papers or not. TRUTH NEVER HIDES FOR TOO LONG! |
..... And a crippled guy is amongst them.... |
Can't believe I am seeing this thread only now. I am very sorry my Oga. na children story and senseless PDP/APC childish talks wey full Nairaland make me no dey visit like before. How have you been all this while with the family? So true true these beautiful clean beasts are being sold? I am team 4runner any day. I still dey cruise my own. |
I need to follow this bill all the way. Does anyone know when the second reading will be? |
NA PERSON WIFE HE DEY HOLD LIKELY THAT O. I CAN SEE THE HUSBAND AT THE BACKGROUND. |
O'l Boy eh. See money. 100milion transactions x N50 per transaction = N5billion in one month!!!!! |
My dear OP. All your Reasons do not apply in all cases. What applies is who the woman you want to get married to is (her beliefs and upbringing). Simple. Whether she works or not does not make her a better financial accountant or any other quality. I have seen working class ladies that fail all your reasons here stated. |

Madam OP, after reading your write up and most of your responses, i can safely assume one thing. YOU ARE A FAULT FINDER WHO HAS NO FAULTS OF YOUR OWN NO MATTER WHAT. YOU SEE THE WRONG IN PEOPLE BUT ASSUME ALL YOU DO IS RIGHT. YOU ARE A POOR COMMUNICATOR. YOU HAVE SO MUCH PRIDE IN YOU BUT DO NOT ACCEPT IT. The fact above are dangerous for relationships and cannot make your relationship work unless you are willing to change this new year. If not, please end the relationship and forget your "i love him very much" talk as it will get you no where even after marriage. From my view i see nothing wrong in what he has done. if you feel he has done something wrong call him and have a talk with him.....oops, sorry you cannot call until he calls you. Ok wait for him to call the talk gently the issues you have with him. Let me tell you my own "HAPPY NEW YEAR" before you say it did not tell you until the 5th of Jan 2016. |
CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN IN PLAIN LANGUAGE WHAT JUST HAPPENED ON NSE?? |
Nairaland is loosing it. Intellectual write-ups don't see front page. Even if they do it might take months. I am still trying to make sense out of this silly write-up that just hit front page just like that. |
KAI!! These people dey plan increase fuel price again. Official pump price is N87. Actual Purchase price is N130 - N140 New Offcial Pump price to be N85. Actual Purchase price will be N150 - N160 God Help us. Liar Mohamed will come and say another lie on this issue shortly. |
Stupid Thread Topic like the write himself. If he does not continue with the works of the previous administration you will shout "abandoned projects". Now he chooses to continue with the work of the previous administration and then introduce new project along the line you say "riding on another man's legacy". Truly Man is insatiable. |
I think the whole story should be told to the whole world, especially the families involved. I presume your niece and her boyfriend's dad thought about the repercussions/consequences before carrying out their evil actions. ![]() |
koxi:Look beyond your nose! |
Holywizard:Honestly i fear for our young girls. Nothing more than facial beauty and sex that they have to offer. The truth is that these things don't make marriage work, if they are even hoping to be married. |
Holywizard:You just said what i had in mind after reading her post. OP did your parents chase you out of their house. Girls of nowadays. They see living with a boyfriend as a norm. Christ!!!!!! Next thing you hear "i am pregnant, should i abort it?" Next thing "my boyfriend wants to abandon me because i am pregnant." or better still "Guys are very wicked. After all these years i have slaved for him, he is calling it quits." |
Horus:Hello your headline is misleading. I saw no one fall to any gun shot. They were dispersed with tear gas by the Nigerian police. Beside since when did Biafra agitators become terrorists? Every one is now a reporter. |
finalboss:Have you witness war before? |
I simply pity the so called IPOB youths. They have soooo much energy but are directing it to the wrong course. Peaceful protest my ass. I knew it will boil down to this. When you have hoodlums protest what more do you expect? A worthy course would have been to agitate and demand for development of their states (infrastructure, schools, road, employment etc) from their governors. This would have yielded much more results and less deaths. Its very easy to start a fight, but very difficult to control it after it has gone out of hand. I hear people calling on their deputy director on the so called Biafra radio for arms. I guess this is what Nnamdi wanted; the death of his people. In a matter of days or weeks this will spiral out of the hand of Nnamdi and his cohorts and they can do nothing about it but regret their very first action of calling for Biafra. People demanding for their brother to come back to SE. will they leave their source of livelihood to join you who is jobless and without hope? SE think about tomorrow. You are fighting a fight from a disadvantaged point. If you pick up guns to fight Nigerian army, there will be state of emergency and any one who defies it will simply be gunned down. Wise up people. |
Nwaaba1:And you got your update from Biafra radio that is hell bent on one side hypnotic reporting and broadcasting? |
Lanretoye:Nice to hear from you. But be aware i was one of those that saw this as not possible. I was expecting it to end with the campaigns. As we all know our politicians make spurious promises that they know they cannot achieve if elected. However seeing this headlines saddened me to imagine what is in the minds of our men at the top. Please take note i am neither a PDP, APC or other political fans. I am a fan for better Nigeria. So whether bad policies are made by any party in government, i am against it as long as it does not make common sense. But if you feel this policy is achievable and workable, i will really love to hear how it can be achieved with sustainability. ....waiting......... |
#CommonSenseLessons • We promised N5,000 To “Vulnerable Nigerians”, Not Graduates – Lai Mohamed • FG To Commence Registration Of Unemployed Nigerians Nationwide • Buhari: Presidency to start paying N5,000 unemployment benefit in 2016 • Uncertainty hangs over Buhari’s N5000 monthly stipends for 25m poor Nigerians • Buhari avows to gift N5,000 monthly allowance to Unemployed, Poor Nigerians First of all, looking at these screaming headlines on our daily newspapers I see a disconnect between the presidency and Information Minister Lai Mohamed. Or is it deliberate to confuse Nigerians? “Unemployed Nigerians” are graduates while “Vulnerable Nigerians” are not necessarily graduates. Now let’s do some math. Let’s forget about the term “Vulnerable Nigerians” or “Unemployed Nigerians” it’s all Nigerians that will benefit, whether the ones on the streets or the ones in their air conditioned homes and offices through which the cash payments are supposedly meant to get to the ones in the street. Though some organization estimate the “to be paid Nigerians” to be 75m, but let’s stick with the 25m Nigerians. For every given month, our dear FG will be doling out N5,000 x 25m = N125b. In one year this amounts to N1.5tr. If we assume we have 75m Nigerians to be paid (which I think is a more accurate figure), the monthly spending will be N375b and in one year is N4.5tr. Gents remember Nigeria is almost on its knees over fuel subsidy. Oil, our main source of income is $45 as against over $110 previously. Infrastructures all over the country are comatose and not user friendly. Economy is near standstill as no clear economic direction for the nation. Even when there was economic direction, infrastructure and economic environment (including politicians’ self interest) were hampering growth of local manufacturing industries, making importation of finished goods the order of the day. And now we plan to pay N4.5tr (amounting to a meager N5,000 monthly) every year to the “people on streets” (abi na few ogas at the top?). Many states are already owing their workers for months. The state governors have held a meeting and are seeking to reduce the meager N18,000 minimum wage further, saying they cannot be able to continue with it for whatever reasons. NIGERIANS OPEN YOUR EYES AND GET WISDOM!! How much value will N5,000 add to your life monthly if at all you get it? Can N5,000 give you up to 1 square meal every day in a month not to talk of taking care of any other need? Don’t you think it is wiser to have N4.5tr expended directly to capital projects that will improve infrastructure in the country and have people employed in the process that will be paid more than N50,000 in a month? Don’t you think the same “show” that happened with pension money a few months ago not happen now? I have a weird feeling some few individuals have a mission to destroy this country called Nigeria. NIGERIANS LETS RISE UP TO THE CHALLENGE AND DO WHAT IS RIGHT. DO NOT TRADE YOUR TOMORROW FOR “A PLATE OF PORRIDGE” TODAY. LOOK AT ISSUES FROM A WIDER SCOPE THAN FROM A SELFISH INDIVIDUALISTIC VIEW. STAND UP TO DEFEND THIS COUNTRY FROM BAD POLICIES!! P.S. I don't need any IPOB rubbish write ups here. No insults amongst contributors. Constructive criticisms are welcomed. Finally i hope this makes front page for more eyes to see and more minds to be open. |
