I took the advice of some matured Nairalanders, rehearsed them couple of times, went with a little courage and overcame.

Some people from my previous thread were asking me what's difficult in going to greet someone who gave birth?

Well, that's what makes us different. To you it's easy. But for some of my type, it's very difficult.

The one I hate more than anything is going for condolence visit. I don't know of any other visit as hard as that. I always avoid that sh!t

Anyways, once again, thank you all.

Lol. From your posts, i can see that you are an extreme introvert who hardly talks verbally to people around you. Like, maybe you keep to yourself a lot and stay indoors all day. Perhaps, your most comfortable mode of communication is chatting on social media but when it comes to real conversations, you lose ideas.

I believe most of what i guessed about you are wrong but if im right, then you might need to go out more and interact with people on phone and around you.

Going for a visit to greet parents of a newborn baby is not difficult at all, even condolence visits. You are not the father of the child nor the family of the deceased. You dont need special and prolonged words to express yourself on both occasions.

For the newborn visit, just say. "Congratulations ooo. God will bless and preserve the baby ooo. When is the naming ceremony? See how e resemble him papa and mama? This baby is so beautiful." That's all.

Then drop your gift (cash or kind), sit for a while with the parents. If they allow you to carry the baby, fine. Carry the baby for a few minutes, smile at him or her all the while s/he's in your arms. Within 10 mins, you are done. Tell them you will still come back later to play with the baby, then leave. It doesnt matter again if you dont return to the house. You have played your part. One thing is that you should never go there without gifting them something. They will need it at this crucial time. And it's a way of blessing the newborn and welcoming him/her to this world. Even the 3 wise men went to visit baby Jesus with precious gifts.

About the condolence visit. The same way you visit new parents is the same way you will visit a bereaved family, but this time, instead of a smile, your expression will be sober. All you have to say is. "Im so sorry about what happened. S/he was a good man/woman/guy/girl when he was alive. May his/her soul rest in peace. Please take heart and be strong. May God give you the strength to go through this trying time. Accept my condolence." If any other prayer point comes to your mind, add it to this address. When you are done, excuse yourself and leave if you dont want to stay there for long. You can shake hands with the family members or just pat their shoulders lightly while telling them about the incident. If you have any money, give it to one of the oldest members of the family or the closest person among them that you know, maybe your friend or girlfriend. You can also ask the cause of death (if you didnt know this before). You can also ask for burial arrangements so that you can attend (if you wish).

You did well by visiting your neighbor though. That's commendable.

I first of all connected my four diodes in series, then my 1k/25v capacitor followed by transistor, 0.1/25v capacitor, light emitting diodes, USB port then my 240v transformer on the connection board, I read it with my meter and it gave me exactly 5v.

Have you ever bought anything for her in return for her kind gesture? If your answer is no, then dont blame her for still giving you money. It's left for you to prove to her that you are now a MAN by giving her nothing less than 10k or more in return or use the money to buy a gift for her.

If you dont give her anything, then dont complain if she still sees you as being broke.

The woman is naturally generous and she cant help it. It's in her blood. You cant take that away from her. She's just doing her thing and doesnt necessarily mean any harm.

Buy the gift for her now and wait for her to visit, then present the package to her even before she dips her hand in her purse to give you urgent 1k. Then you can politely reject her money by telling her jokingly. "Aunty mi, you have tried. It is now my time to start giving you something. Relax and let me also pamper you as you have been pampering me since I was a child." She'll gladly get the message.

Maybe GES 101/201 or a combined class for 100l or 200l students. It's not a big deal.

The school can divide the class into batches whereby some students with batch number 1-40 can have their lectures for 1 hour, leave, then students with batch nos 41-71 will come in, and so on until everyone is done. They can also spread the class across the week.

Alternatively, less students should be admitted per session to avoid this type of overcrowding. But then, schools are only after money

Well to the glory of God he was found in police station this morning with wounds all over him. The police said that he walked into the station by himself and has not alter a word since then. I told my parent to take him to hospital and he's receiving treatment.

Is this a red flag or not or its just what it is, or what is your take in this?

My fiancee Fines it difficult to cook (though she can cook and a very good cook), I am not the type that eat outside always (I love home food), I only do such once in a while. She cooks sometimes in the evening or at night but it's a no no in the morning, I have to make my dishes for myself before going to work and house chores is even the worst. l gave her 9.9% that's how worst in terms of house chores, her excuse is "my weakness is house chores, I will try to be adjusting blablabla.

She only tidy/clean when I complain, after that she returns to former ways except if I complain again. Any time she does house chores she won't let me hear words, I did this, I did that, you don't even appreciate me, I did that too ecsetera. Her suggestion is for us to hire househelp (and house help is a no no for me, even if I will take in house help not now). The house is even small for house help to come in. Sometimes, she dodges cooking by trying to convince me to buy/order food while coming home etc, I do that sometimes but most time I decline and tell her to prepare food at home.

Although if I compel her to do things in romantic way sha she will do it but must I be compelling someone daughter in romantic ways always before doing what she needs to do ni. Also she works in a finance firm and leaves the house around after seven or 7:30am (House to work is close), back by 6pm but should this be an excuse to prepare dish for me, for someone that finds it difficult to prepare breakfast as Early as possible for just one person how much more when kids are involved waking up to take care of kids ecsetera. We agreed she will stop the work and I will set her up when we got marry and she promised after that she will be able to do the tidy and cooking very well . Planning to knot this year anyways, just a bit worry about this house chores of a thing which I have told her times without number...

The good part about her
* She is faithful and literally tells me everything that happens to her on daily basis.
*she can confidently give me her phone to work (this has happened twice, because I need to help in fixing her phone) , which I will give her updates about her callers, messages etc when she returns back from work and her phone has never be on lock.
*She is open and transparent
*She is supportive and submissive (with the time I have spent with her)
*She is a prayer warrior (she can pray for 4hours ), though she skips Sunday sometime because of resting. And Sometimes, i am tempted to tell her to reduce prayer at night so she can cook/tidy things that need to be tidy in the morning.

About me
Me: Am I.T guy, In aspects of earning I earn thrice more than her but I find it easy in doing house chores, (my mama taught me well you know) do dishes and tidy up things myself, (that was how she knows me) and always putting things in place, provides everything needed, supportive etc...Am the kind of person I return home late sometimes because after leaving my official work, I check in my personal business before going home.. So something 9pm or 10pm or 11pm (depends on traffic) before I get back home.

To married people, Councillors, experienced people in the house, , I will like your contribution in terms of House chores issue and wife responsibility etc, It can help me or some people out there in this kind of similar situation. Thank.. (no insult I beg.)

I didnt want to comment before but that emboldened part got my attention. A prayer warrior engaged in intense fornication with a man she's not married to? What god does she pray to as a warrior? A mammoth god or a god of sex? Im sure it's not the same God that I know and that I serve. Both of you are jokes. The REAL ALMIGHTY GOD that I know cannot be mocked. I wonder what she prays for sef, forgiveness of her sins as a fornicator or what? Back to the topic, she cant change and it will only get worse after marriage. Prepare to get a house help after marriage or continue to patiently encourage her to do the house chores. Besides, it seems her good sides overshadow her bad sides so make do with what you have. No perfect union anywhere.

You can also try designing a roster whereby there will be days of the week assigned to you to do the house chores and she will also have her own days too. Since there are 7 days in a week and you seem more comfortable doing the work, you can pick 4 days to do them (including breakfast) while she picks 3. Gradually, change the routine such that you guys will switch places, then she will get 4 while you get 3. This can force her to be more responsible in homemaking. As time goes on, she will get used to it and improve.


You can also share the responsibilities such that you handle breakfast while she handles lunch and dinner. You can also reward her on days that she does well by gifting her small gifts and treats once in a while to motivate her.

But these are preferable after marriage because that sh*t you both are engaged in is trial marriage and it's wrong. All the best.

Ugwuanyi ended the New Year visits at the Home for the Elderly managed by the Little Sisters of the Poor, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, located at Ufuma Street, Awkunanaw, Enugu, where he joined Bishop Callistus Onaga of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu and the elderly in the celebration of the New Year Eucharistic Mass.

The governor, who received blessings from the Bishop, wished the elated elderly citizens a Happy New Year.
