No p , another thing is if you're not using lufthansa for the entire journey , say you're flying lagos frankfurt on lufthansa but frankfurt toronto on air canada you might need a transit visa especially if you have to re check your bags in , I'm not sure though since I used lufthansa all the way to T.O . But like I said earlier I'm sure if you're using lufthansa all through you're fine
oh i see!!! Well said boss...i tap from ur blessing grin grin

galala123: if flying lufthansa via Germany, Emirates via Dubai, Etihad via Abu Dhabi, Air France via Paris, KLM via Amsterdam you dont need a transit visa coz you are only transiting through the hubs of the various airlines and it is more economically convinient for them to re arrange their passengers to connect to their final destination. They already have an MOU with their host government. For British Airways and Airlines such as American Airlines, Delta, US airways you need a transit visa to pass through their hub as they want to pre authorise whoever is going through their country and do adequate security checks well in advance.

With respect to one way tickets, I have had to buy a return ticket from a foreign country though I was not planning to go back coz it was cheaper than a one way ticket to Nigeria. You can never tell with tickets as they change by the minute via complex intrigues employed by the airline operators dats why you may buy your ticket twice the price or half of the price of the passenger seated next to you. Competition plays an important role in the price mechanism. Funny enough, I was once given quote of over £600 to change the return leg of my BA ticket at Heathrow and the same lady at the counter gave me an option of buying a return ticket (lhr-abv-lhr) for about £500!
I called their online customer line and was able to change it for about £200 as it wasmidsummer with flighta fully booked
sweet info!!! Boss grin....u'r highly blessed...due 2 dat u aint got no choice but for me to tap from ur blessing grin grin......i pray God answers ur prayer dis week sir

Delotion: Kudos for ur relentless efforts bro, Could u pls xplain explicitly on how to secure funding/scholarship/student loans. Thnks in anticipation (thats the link bro www.nairaland.com/1229480/travelling-canada-part-4/233 yep tuition fees are on the high side which was why i said you should explore funding/schorlarship option.....if u have a first class or a second class upper den u will get funding...no gock am....
information on securing funding/scholarship should b on d sch's website....or once you secure an admission u automatically get a funding...buh dat differs with uni....sum uni offer 50% funding and sum get funding based on d kinda degree(either course bassed or research based masters) some peeps here applied for a research base course and got full funding from d prof or doctor dey wana work with so select d sch's u wana go and browse tru dia website and do ur little research on that....

Aduke02: You can scan as many pages as u'll need so long as u compress the file to fall within the 4mb limit. U can use free online pdf compressors. That's what I used. After scanning, save d file on ur desktop. Then google free online pdf compressor. A popular one is neevia pdf compressor. Its a pretty straightforward process. I'd advise as many Winter applicants as possible to use d online method too.
for faster responce!!! This is d tested and trusted route...if any 1 out there is contemplating on which route to go, there u av it....dis route is best especially for late submitters.....tanx ma

tolyem: I am highly interested in submitting my study permit application via the online route this time but the large volume of supporting documents is giving me a great challenge.
Already, I have almost 35 pages of documents to be scanned which seems too long to me for an online attachment.

To the fellows who had passed through this route, what do you suggest I do? Or should I just do my paper submission Jeje because I can't afford to make mistake....Regards to Oga Siga & Newacca (With your contributions, I hope I am good to go now) JEEEEEEEEESUS........CHAAAANGE Jesus will change my situation positively this time
bro wen applying online u will b required to upload ur docx in 2 section which is 4mb each....so u'v got enuff.. i was able to pile up 25 document of 35mb total in one microsoft word and was able to save as pdf from there which later compressed to a total of just 2.65mb pdf format which is also accepted....now thats 25document...if am able to add few more document to make 35 documents how many mb do u tink pdf will convert that tohuh...lesser than 4mb ofcourse!!!..so bros it shouldnt b dat hard....if u no wan wahala ursef with all dis shinanigan den kuku go d paper route jeje....at least u can add as much docx as u want to d VO's buh rememba!!! 2 much docx require more time to process grin grin .....baba God go do am 4 shizzle

seyidollar4real: anyone that used online application mode should pls respond. Thanks
broda i didnt apply online but dis question is a general question...with wat online applicant said previously about the size its 4mb max....u said ur friend has compressed it...i tried dis mysef and i would tel u how to go abt it....after scanning the documents you can copy and paste them on microsoft word...make sure your microsoft word has an inbuilt software to convert to pdf format...if ur microsoft word doesnt av, u can type dis keywords on google 'convert a microsoft document to pdf' the software to do dat will come up...install it and it will automatically be embedded into ur microsoft word...i was able to convert a 43mb document of all my many scanned file to 2.65mb which is still within the range of 4mb stipulated by cdhc...hope dis helps

Pinoralia: University of saskatchewan and.
Memorial University of Newfoundland
both are good and affordable schools.....both comes with good funding/scholarship option so dnt ignore dat part of the application....if u'r going for a research base masters degree..sum1 jst pasted a very convincing letter of intent which u can use along side.... Both do not require toefl....u can also xplore universities like uni of calgary, uni of manitoba, uni of ottawa...make sure u apply for ur course with a university that has two or three start session cuz u mite b required by cdhc to pick anoda session if ur visa app is treated late...d sessions are jan(winter),may(spring),sept(fall)...each uni vary with sessions which is y i said u should explore more uni to ur favour...trust in God nd believe all ur challenges na pure water....

GboyegaD: For those who are seeking a sample of letter to a professor / department, here is a draft to guide you:

I am writing to inquire more about admission into the **** program in ********* offered by your university.
I am a **** year old Nigerian and would love to move into your ****** program in ********** by Fall 2013.
I hold a ***** degree in ***** from ********, Nigeria at ******* level.
I would like to state that reading through your departmental webpage was a wonderful experience and an eye opener to my further studies. Your ******* areas of research fits into mine and would help build my desired career in ********. Also, your faculty profile reveals a department that houses experts in their fields of research which implies an institution where an inquisitive mind like mine will be well groomed.
I have read through some departmental and university profiles and none can compare to yours in terms of the program curriculum as it fits my expectations and, I seek clarifications on the following:
1. **********
2. **********
I would like to know my chances to be offered admission directly into this program and would also like to know the minimum / average GRE scores if required and if I would be exempted from TOEFL having had all my education taught in English Language.
Attached is a copy of my transcripts for your perusal.
As for funding, I am currently saving towards graduate school however, I have not been able to save enough and would love to know the possibility of being shortlisted for the various graduate funding available and also, the possibility of getting students loan.
Finally, what semesters does the department admit students into the **** program?

Regards,
nice one broda!!!...u'r highly blessed....never d less i tap from ur blessing!!!...oga sir
