Canada gave me a 2yrs visa. Please is it possible to convert it to study visa once I get to canada and what are the implications. Also is It possible to apply for canada study visa from USA? Or I have to go back to naija.

bros you can't convert a visit visa to a study visa...u gas cum join us here 4 naija 2 apply for ur study visa oo ...u can't also apply with a usa visit visa from usa to apply for canada study visa...if dat 1 dy ni den y go 2 d usa?? I have never travelled before and just made my international passport today.
I graduated with a 2.1 in Economics from Igbinedion University and want to pursue a Masters degree in Canada.
I have few questions I will appreciate sincere and comprehensive answers to.
1. What is the average tuition for a Masters programme in Economics or Human resources in Canada?
I will appreciate universities with fairly low tuition fees and recognizable masters degree.
2. What are the likely challenges I may face with the visa application?
3. What is the minimum budget that can cover all expenses i.e tuition, accommodation, personal up keep for total duration of study?
4. What is the average duration of a masters degree in Canada?
5. Please I need 3-4 names of schools with very reasonable tuition fees for a masters programme in Economics or Human Resources.
6. When is the next academic season beginning for a masters degree programme and when can I start processing my application?

To all those who have been helpful to others I sincerely hope answers can be provided for me to assist me make an informed decision.

you can only submit ur application bro and patiently! patiently!! patiently!!! Wait for up to 1-3months or more to be given ur medical instructions....dats more reason y dis forum is alive till date cuz folks here stick to each oda from start of visa app till the finish..more or less like bigbrother africa were folks get evicted from the list once visa is issued...GREAT FAMILY

oh tot as much abt d vpn thingy...most of dis free vpn service ipaddress has already bin blacklisted nd they filter any traffic coming from the service...best bet is to use a paid vpn service...probably between $5 - $7 for canada vpn... thanks bro...

dont u av a waec cert??..if u got that u can use it..u dnt av 2 send originals 2 d sch cuz once u send,it becomes d sch's property..u can send a notarize copy attached with a scratch card for dem to verify....as for the statement frm ur sch i dnt knw if d sch will accept it but since u'r sending it along with a scratch card...i tink dy shuld accept dat...again dnt send orignal statement cuz u go stil nid am 4 d visa processing...

After submitting my passport and the passport demand letter, i was asked to wait. 2 hrs later, i was asked to come inside the embassy and on getting there, i was given my stamped passport. I give all the glory to God and use my story as a point of contact for as many people trusting God for their medicals and TRV, God that did mine will also perfect your stories IJN.

I am applying with a transcript to brandonu, I'm in my 3rd year in the current school I'm in in Nigeria, I am 27 years which means I entered my current school in 09 when I was 23, unfortunately I do not know if the embassy will want to grant me a visa because of my age. I finished secondary school in 2003, even with my transcript do you think that would matter? Or would they ask me questions like what I was doing in between those years. Plus, I have a UNILAG diploma in 08 which I did not include because of bad results, should I call the school and ask them to include it, so it can shorten my stay at home time for the school and embassy people( the diploma result was NOTHING to write home about) And also, how do I go about getting a neco transcript and how long it takes.Thank you all, including the silent observers.

is it neco ssce or neco gce??....if neco ssce, den go back to ur secondary school to collect ur neco original certificate...dats wat you need..

kjbobo: I will advice you ask the latest time you can resume.My start date is 26th August and I submitted May 7th.I spoke with my supervisor about the latest time I can resume for this Fall and he said mid-sept. I believe each school has its peculiarity so explore this option first before deferring to January.Based on a friend's experience....he was told to get an official letter from the school that he can resume in Septembers before they can issue his TRV..so stay positive that you can be called any time from now....so explore the september option and lets see how that goes....all the best

bullstriker: Eventhough,i walk through the valley of the shadow of Cdhc and keyano college,i shall fear no interview and tuition payment.......I received an email that my TRV has been approved.my gratitude goes to each member of this great thread especially Siga,Tolyem etc.my case was exceptionally complicated;great testimony loading.........after 3 consecutive denial in less than 2yrs,tuition fee wahala and a last minute interview after medicals

yes ofcourse canada do offer scholarship wella!!!...buh dat will b based on ur strong academic performance in ur high sch result...and also if ur waec grades ar gud den u'r eligible...you do not nid 2 send originals of ur waec result..u only nid 2 get a notarize copy of it coupled with a waec scratch card 4 verification..but for the transcript u will have to send official copy 2 d sch which shuld b original...however sum few universities accept scanned copy...u can check uni of manitoba...nt sure of d sch buh check...

Step 1: look for a preferable public university of your choice in canada that offers ur course of study...(google is ur padi on that)....step 2: apply on the university's website(u would b required to send your high sch transcript nd waec result via courier to d sch) nd pay d sch's application fee(ranging frm $80 - $150)...step 3: once ur application is reviewed by the sch,a decision would b made regarding whether to grant u admision or nt(it takes either 2wks - 8wks to make a decision)....step 4: once u have been given admision and have recieved the admision letter via softcopy by email or hardcopy by courier den welcome to the league of applying for ur TRV(Temporary Residence Visa) at d embassy for ur study period..NB :you dont need toefl wen applying to sch's in canada..only very few strong head schools ask 4 dat....once u get ur admision letter den u can further ask ur questions nd i knw my oga's here would love to help u....peace
