Chief na better AirPeace Boeing jet Otto park jare. Even in Kumasi that's supposed to be their slaughter ground for away teams we had the better chances. Eguavoen is not the best but if not for Uzoho's butter fingers we probably won't be having this conversation. charlesemeka85: well you may be right but addo outclassed egu tactical in both legs |

I agree 100% Remember also the Ukraine friendly when we scored those 2 quick fire goals the Ukrainian defense could barely cope with the SE movement. Philosopher1979: Nigeria is the exact opposite. We have many good forwards but lack a midfield that will create chances for them or bring the ball to them in the last third of the pitch. A coach that figures out how to exploit our latent explosivity in the last third of the pitch will turn us to world beaters in a year. Our ability to explode in the last third of the pitch showed in that 4 4 draw with Sierra Leone and the 12 nilwin over Sao Tome but I don't know we need coaches that will make it count. If we are well coached we can suddenly bscore 3 goals against a team like Spain in 15 minutes and leave them chasing the game |

Too glaring. Their midfield play has been excellent but just lack the quality to pry open the Netherlands defense. Plus it doesn't help having a forward like Pulisic who is more inconsistent than fuel supply in Nigeria. fabyom: The US team lacks a proper goal scorer. There is no way they beating the Dutch team without a proper striker. |

Bro that wasn't a statement to sub anybody. I was just referring to generality of Nigerians who judge coaches based on results whether the team plays well or not. Meliforme: This is not true. I heavily criticised Eguavoen before his first match at the last AFCON, even while we had a winning streak, my criticisms for him did not cease.
Results alone don't move me, patterns do. |

Success covers a multitude of sins. If Moses had scored that chance in Kumasi you'll probably be hearing how Eguavoen is a new Westerhof incarnate. fabyom: Otto has resigned. They have started insulting him. Just like Eguaveon too. A thin line exists between being a celebrity and a failure. Imagine if Inaki had scored that last minute chance against Portugal or Dede scored that penalty everyone here won't allow us to hear word. Success has many friends. No one is talking about the Saudi Arabian coach again. |

Yes bro all the African coaches brought their A game. Song who I personally don't rate learned from his first game loss and made the Lions more fearless and determined. 7 wins (so far) for African teams and potentially more to come. AndSunGorilla: Proud of all the African coaches. Cameroon almost had mutiny in their camp with Onana, but the replacement was excellent today. Whether na 2nd string Brazilian team or 4th, fact is Cameroun became the first African team to defeat Brazil in the WC. So, I hope Cameroon gives Song more time on the job, I believe he would have learned from this experience.
For Ghana, Addo got water out of a rock, they shocked Nigeria by qualifying for the WC and with his limited first team coaching experience he led Ghana to at least record a win at the WC. I hope they give him more time on the job if he still wants to retain it. |

In fairness Cisse was given a second chance after failing to win the AFCON on his first try and getting knocked out of the world cup group stage last time. AndSunGorilla: Rohr's eagles didn't win the ANC, didn't make it to 2nd round. Now we will say Rohr didn't get enough time like Cisse did. But then I will be shocked if Cisse can earn as much Rohr was too. |

Trouble is are the players, fans, administrators and government ready to be patient and trust the process or scatter everything once we hit a road bump? Question now is should we stick with JP or bring in someone new? Who will the new be Amuneke, Olofinjana or reappoint Oliseh? Whatever we decide will need patience and clarity of purpose. AndSunGorilla: Aliou Cisse becomes 2nd African coach to get to the WC 2nd round after the late Stephen Keshi.
Senegal has wobbled and fumbled several times with Cisse as coach but they stuck with him, and now he has won their 1st ANC and taken them to the 2nd round too.
Let us appoint Amuneke, give him time even if he fails initially and see what he can do. However, the NFF themselves are any coaches nightmare especially the Nigerian born coaches. They frustrated Keshi, did same to Oliseh (according to Oliseh, he was owned many months of salary, he even used his own money to feed the CHAN team), Siasia, his last success with Nigeria was largely through his own efforts, imagine the sports minister and NFF dragging the money given to Sia1s team by the Japanese guy. |

Ovie right? I think he's been battling off and on with a mental condition. I remember him kind off confirming it some time back. Even Rinu trolled him with it when they had a disagreement sometime last year. The family should have found a to get his phone or deactivate his data. Really sad seeing this kind of public mental breakdown. Pray he gets the necessary help and recovers fully. OasisX: Honestly I can't really understand what happens to him. He tweeted perfectly prior to the day he begins tweeting weird messages.
Can someone explain what can cause that kinda ailment? Thought he was kidnapped but it has been confirmed he's with his family and receiving treatment. |

I suspect it might be a parody news setup but even if it was true FIFA has a microchip in all the balls that can sense touch and they have confirmed there was zero response from the ball once it went past Ronaldo's head. andrewbaba44: Let me leave Ronaldo out of this ,but what the hell is wrong with the Portuguese federation?
The national team have already won and took all 3 points and qualify for the next round ,goal awarded to Bruno ,so why are they fighting that the goal should be awarded to Ronaldo ?? |

Jordan's crosses were world class today. Korea had more chances but Ghana was efficient 3 goals out of 4 shots on target not bad. AndSunGorilla: Yes Qudus was brilliant but two of the goals scored today were due to the quality of the crosses even the last Qudus goal was due to the quality of the cross which Inaki should actually have hit. The first goal was definitely a worldclass cross by Jordan Ayew. Coaches get the stick for losing and whether they fumble and wobble through, it is only fair for the coach to bask in the euphoria of winning. Ordinary S. Korea, a WC semi-finalist and currently ranked 28 by FIFA lost to Ghana ranked 61. Ghana people are kukuma know for big yansh before, so no lele if dem open small out of am |

You might think that way but you're feeling self-conscious over nothing. This is Ghana time let them enjoy their world cup and throw shade as they like. We qualified ahead of Algeria and Cameroon the last time but to the best of my knowledge they didn't bitch and moan but got better. Blueelf: Oga, whether they beat world champions or local champions, every win for them at the WC will speak against us
Where are those people saying that Ghana doesn't deserve that spot?
If they come out swinging and at least nick a good draw while uruguay looses today, then make SE just shut up where Ghana dey
