I'll believe it when I see it. Politicians know how to promise but reality is always different. Pray he succeeds cos at least that will hopefully motivate other governors to do something tangible around agriculture. Even if it's copy and paste of Bago's idea. OasisX:

I read some where that NNPC can't supply his refinery with enough crude oil to keep it running seamlessly. The Dangote refinery is not the type you can start and switch off like a car engine hence the reason for importing enough crude to keep the refinery working smoothly without any hitch. raumdeuter: I don't know why Dangote has to import crude, but i think importing crude is better than importing petrol
One the refinery will work and employ people even if na 500 or 1000 people that's some people off the unemployment lane
Versus we just import refined petrol alone |

JP going is not the end of the world. Yes I wouldn't have minded him staying for stability and continuity reasons but frankly from a tactical point of view he had his limitations. Our qualification will be determined heavily by our next managerial choice cos based on the caliber of players we have we should be topping our when all is said and done. But I do understand that nothing is guaranteed in football. If NFF choose to bungle WC qualification na dem sabi. elyte89: 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹😞😞🥹🥹 dis man is not Coming back ,shey our World Cup neva go like dis |

Since the incident when Amuneke had a running with Iheanacho's proposed agent soon after the u17 WC in 2013 I haven't really been on board with him being the SE coach. Unfortunately all our former ex-international SEs coaches are on this table of mixing managing with agent work. From Keshi (RIP), to Siasia, to Oliseh, all were involved in one shenanigans or the other. Eguavoen who knows did his own but at least his own was small or he just hid it well. lovewins: Exactly. How is this difficult a conclusion to reach. We can't be criticizing Salisu Yussuf for corruption while at the same time excusing Amuneke because he's someone we like. It is why Nigeria as a nation as refused to live forward. We have different rules for different people. |

Well said especially your second paragraph. JP's hyper rigidness either too attacking or hyper defensive (aka hezbollah ball) wasn't my cup of tea. I like coaches who are dynamic yes you can you have a preferred styled but try to switch it to up especially when you notice you've been found out. One thing I give JP is that he's a good man manager. He had players nearly giving up the ghost on the football field for him pity he's limited tactically cos he gives me a bit of those Westerhof vibes. villagereporter: .
When you watch our match against Angola and SA you will see we were found out and in d final we were completely knocked off.
So generally jpagero is a stuck of one way traffic. Av forgotten the moniker now on this forum, he said,; d dynamism of a coach is to know when to change tactical approach of his team. I don't hate jpagero or any foreign coach (infact foreigners tends to d better with SE) but jpajero should not be seen as our messiah. He is too rigid in his tactical set up. |

Won't lie I'm not shedding tears at JP's seeming departure. Apart from the slight disruption it will cause in terms of stability and continuity we can still get it right if the right coach for the team is selected. I think Finidi should be trusted considering how long he's been involved in the immediate past setup. Abeg no Salisu nonsense! jieta: That is what we have been praying for no body gave him a chance. |

Asking fans to trust and be patient with a process not yielding results is unrealistic. Besides football evolves no one style guarantees you success over a long period of time. Countries that have won trophies did so with various formations and styles over a period of time. jihday: while trying to perfect whatever tactics you must show workings sha, you can’t refuse to qualify for Afcon then you tell us to be patient because you are building something, such a coach should be sacked very quick |

The thing with Iheanacho is if you crack the code on how to utilize him you will enjoy what he brings in terms of his creativity and goal scoring. MetalJigsaw: I did not say he's AM. What I meant is that he's been tried there several times. By the way there are many SS that fare well as AM. That is my point |

Actually you're the one comparing black and black. Ighalo after his one good season in EPL has gone from one mediocre league to the other briefly punctuated with an unremarkable spell at MAN U. Credit to Odion he's making his money however using him as a foil to down play Osimhen's status as an elite level player no go work. komekn: You are trying to compare light 🕯️ with darkness 🌑.
Can you be reasonable please.
Emenike was great in AFCON 2013 he was 25 but after that he fizzled out completely like car with blown head gasket. It was one level of MEDIOCRITY to another level he regressed so badly .
To think he is only 36 now and he is totally finished in football ⚽.
IGHALO has continuously performed has not regressed, just followed the big 🤑🤑🤑 sign. |

Sigh! Tammy's unavailability for Nigeria never stopped you in the past bringing his name up when you thought he was on the up and up so I'm just curious why you're bringing his ineligibility to play for the SE as a reason not to talk about him now. komekn: Can you be specific, stop me from what exactly and when .❓❓ |

Emenike too was an AFCON winning top goal scorer but nobody started crying or creating agenda when he left the stage for other players. komekn: What I'm essentially saying why is nonody talking about IGHALO.
There is more justification for Ighalo to be in the squad than Musa ( cheer leader) |

Goodjoe you're overlooking the point that I when you can drill your team to get into good positions your opponents would also come up with tactics to nullify such player placements leading to stalemates or games based on attrition football. Now this is where a player with X factor comes in. Someone who comes in with outrageous ability which completely befuddles whatever structured play your opponents have put in place. I've seen such as players many times win so many games for their teams. I agree that tactical play has leveled the playing field but when you have a player who through a moment of genius or dribbling skill can win you a game is unfair to call it playing to gallery. TheGoodJoe: When players are a good positions to receive the ball and a player decides to go past players on his own, he is playing to the gallery and not with purpose.

True but then again Osimhen missed quite a number of chances he should ordinarily have been burying at the AFCON. Maybe the mental exhaustion from having to press and drop deep into midfield affected him. The 3-4-3 formation also affected the number of chances he got. The chances he had against EG in the group stage probably outnumbered the total number of chances he had for the rest of the tournament and no surprise it was in that one game he enjoy good supply he scored. Still think JP missed a trick not playing more offensive in the final by deploying three midfielders. Joebie: When u give a striker too many responsibilities, his quality drops in his primary responsibility. This sums up Osimhen in the AFCON |

They didn't sort anything. Yes Nigeria will participate but none of the foreign based (some 2020 Olympics players) who committed will now be participating.
