Don't think so for some reason our organization and logistic arrangement doesn't take that into consideration. Amedino99: I think there is a possibility we will wear the new kit today. Korea and the US wore thier new kits yesterday. |

Exactly. Even Osun and Ekiti have precious minerals like gold and the likes to compensate for lack of arable land. To be fair I just remembered that the Ekiti state government 2-3 years back imported some cattle from was it UK or US? Can't remember but they launched a ranch/dairy farm initiative but don't know how far they have progressed. BlueRayDick: Yeah, that's where southern governors have their own fault and I think it's politics that did that to us.
There's no reason why governors of states like Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Osun and Ekiti can't fund agriculture on an industrial scale. Aside from Osun and maybe Ekiti that have parts of the states surrounded by rocks, most of the Southwestern states have good arable land that will yield good produce.
But since the governors are not really supporting agriculture as much as they should, when u go to those states u see that people who used to farm before now ride bikes, keke and korope to keep body & soul together. |

If Southern state governors were up and doing some Northern politicians wouldn't be able to use the bold to blackmail the rest of the country. Apart from Lagos no State down south has an excuse not to engage in some high scale industrial farming but BlueRayDick: They actually offer us food, most of the agricultural produce we eat in this country are planted in the north.
My issue with people like Gumi is that instead of them holding their leaders accountable on how well they use allocations they get from the federal purse; they will rather be expecting FG to still cater for the needs of their people. What are their leaders doing about education? Why must they focus more on religion than education and other factors that lead to improvement of their standard of living in the nearest future? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 12:58pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Don't mind the silly man and other Northern politicians who share this frankly ridiculous view. What's happening in the North is mostly self inflicted with lack of governance over the decades allowing boko haram, banditry and terrorism to fester. Yes there's also misgovernance in many Niger Delta States but it's a foregone fact the FG in years past allowed oil companies to pollute and ruin the land for the locals. The North if they get their act together are sitting on a gold mine literally and figuratively but it's easier to blame others for one's personal misfortune. Itsrm: You don talk am finish. He always references the Niger Delta situation but they are not exactly the same.
Not forgetting that a lot of people in government were also against paying amnesty to militants. |

30 ke? na Olympic be this o. Realistically Tobi Amusan, Ese Brume, 4x100/4x400 relays, and the female wrestlers are our best medal chances. If the Super Falcons qualify for the Olympics I give them an outside chance of medaling. daveP: They'll cross it sef. But the least expected of them at Paris in all games is 30medals. They better cross that aspect. I know weightlifting and wrestling will give us a good start.

Attack lol? How many Italian, Dutch, German and Brazilian strikers have scored double digits this season in the top 5 European leagues? Emphasis STRIKERS before you go and bring Vinicius and Harvertz. Osimhen and Boniface have 10 league goals already. Awoniyi, Moffi and Akor Adams on 6, 7, and 8 goals with many league matches to spare. Even Sadiq if he goes on a good run who knows he might get to 10 at least they are enough games left. typicalgamer: No need to correct you
You’re wrong plain and simple
Only osimehn name na they carry the full team remove him

30? That's too high for someone of his caliber. Definitely needs to work on that aspect of his game. His shooting outside the box and his weaker left foot still have to be improved. Not taking anything away from Osimhen he's a top player who can hit the stratosphere if he can ditch these little kinks in his game. daveP: We've arrived that Bridge where everyone of us that want to see Osimhen get better needs to start telling him to put hundreds of hours into working on this Landlord Syndrome affecting him.
He's the only one in the whole of Europe top 5 leagues with the highest Offsides this season with 30+ offsides. Haba!!!!!!
Was also highest at AFCON.

Angola and Portugal have a beat of cultural similarities due to language influence and colonialism but still impressed he's ready and hungry to succeed in whichever job he's given. Definitely my number one choice followed by Finidi. Barryseal: I tell you. Man is the real deal. His last season with the Sporting Lisbon academy, his team had an unbeaten season.
On the back of his success with U17s and Chan teams, his Angola team lost just 3 games in 25 matches, crazy numbers. Even Peseiro can't boast of these stats with the Super Eagles. It will take alot of courage for the NFF to hire him but he's the right man.
Remarkably, he lived in Angola through out his time there. Tells you he's the kind of man to build a project around. |

Wow I'm deeply impressed by this! Have been taking notice of him since our quarterfinal game against Angola. Appreciate how he turned a technically deficient Angolan side into a progressive attacking side. Looks calm and emotionally mature which he will need to handle NFF, fans, and players wahala. Barryseal: He was owned 7months salary at some point by Angola while working on a shoe string budget. Fun fact= Pedro Goncalves developed a software for monitoring Angola born players in Europe(about 700 of them). The software pushes out a notification to him if a certain metric is met by a said player. I think his background as a scout at Sporting Lisbon had something to do with this novelty.
I expect the next Super eagles coach to bring brilliant ideas, never been seen before to our football culture instead of all these dusted debates about indigenous coach vs foreign coach. |

If he wanted to be a scout or agent he shouldn't have mixed it with coaching the cadet national team because whether it's true or not it will be hard not to argue that he influenced the selection of Nwakali into the u17 team for monetary gain. Trying to bring up other issues of spotting talent is immaterial because he could have used his position of influence in selecting players from academy owners he was chummy with. Like I said you know but hey whatever helps you sleep well at night. My last word on this. TheGoodJoe: How is scouting the best talent he could get his hand on, nurturing the talent and the player becoming the best player of the competition, Nigeria winning the title and the player getting sold to a prime team a conflict of interest?
So he should have dropped the best talent? Let me know. |

QED. lovewins: My guy. Don't do this now. You're comparing apples and oranges. Halaand's dad was a co-agent with Ravioli and got paid as that. This also isn't a new practice as footballers usually do this to either keep money in the family or as a way to get a family member paid. Victor Osimhen and a number or Nigerian players did this.
FIFA has however put an end to this as only licensed agents can be now get commissions during transfers. There's also a cap to how much they can get now. Everyone you listed above are those who should ideally get paid in a transfer; the club selling and the agents (Raiola and his dad).
No one has a problem with Amuneke getting paid in transfers, he however should not eat his cake and have it. He should register as an agent and not take up any national team appointment so he can pursue this full-time. What he did in Nwakali's case is wrong. |
