From the footage I saw the assassin was definitely well informed. From the time AKA came out of the club to how he shadowed him looked like some gang related execution. Condolences to his family. Not a nice way to go. izzou: I saw this tweet of AKA denying he had any involvement in the death of his girlfriend last two years. The police dropped all charges against him. His girlfriend was from Durban
AKA too was killed in Durban. He visited and turned on his location on IG.
Whether na conspiracy theory, I can't tell but whoever killed him was looking forward to that day.
God rest his soul. |

Once you cut off supply to Erling in the 18 yard box he looks completely toothless but doing that is no easy feat. charlesemeka85: his numbers are out of this world but he’s ball playing and link up play is average
Haaland reigns in the 18 yard box only, he is more like a typical old school English/British number 9 |

I'm very happy say na oyinbo journalists and analysts dey talk this one if not the usual suspects would have gathered here like ants to sugar to accuse you of being sentimental, drunk, an @ss kisser and so on. nairalandankrah: Victor Osimhen - the world's best No 9 - is driving a feverish club and city on to their first Serie A title in 33 years… the £150m-rated Man United target is a more complete player than Erling Haaland and so good luck prising him away from Napoli! He may not be quite as prolific as Haaland - who is? - but Osimhen is a more complete No 9. Sporting a protective mask after breaking his cheekbone and eye socket in November 2021, the 24-year-old even looks like a superhero. He has 16 goals in 17 Serie A appearances this term but there is so much more to his game. His speed terrifies defenders, as does his strength.
Unlike Haaland, he links play superbly and has developed a deadly understanding with fellow attacker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, another of Europe's top players this season.
Roaring his team on from sidelines after he had been substituted during a recent win over Roma, Osimhen showed himself to be natural leader. Yet nearly every elite player today craves the challenge of the Premier League. With United and Chelsea badly lacking a No9, it promises to be a busy summer.
One thing is certain: an Osimhen vs Haaland duel would be something to savour.

The Police Commissioner of Lagos needs to be on top of things as we head into elections. The attack on Labour Party members by suspected APC thugs is completely condemnable. Let people make their choice in an atmosphere of peace and tolerance. Governor Sanwo-Olu should get a handle on this and not allow a tense situation snowball into full blown electoral violence. Nobody should also come with the we were provoked excuse. Let votes speak not intimidation and violence. |

Fikayo Tomori of AC Milan is number actually with 2.61m, Osimhen second. robosky02: Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has smashed Cristiano Ronaldo’s four-year record and is now Serie A’s jump king.
The Nigerian leapt 2.58 metres during their commanding 3-0 win away to Spezia.
Osimhen achieved the incredible feat to score his first goal and Napoli’s second of the day at the Stadio Alberto Picco.
After a goalless first half, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Osimhen added the second in the 68th minute.
The 24-year-old produced a staggering 71cm leap and reached a height of 8.47ft (2.58m) – higher than the crossbar (8ft) – before heading past Spezia goalkeeper Bartłomiej Drągowski.
And according to Corriere dello Sport, with that jump, Osimhen climbed to a height of 2.58 metres.
He has now set a new Italian Serie A record, breaking the previous 2.56 metres mark set by Ronaldo for Juventus against Sampdoria in 2019.

Yes oil prices fell but currency was still stable, population not out of control, basic services still functioning reasonably. What I'm saying in short is that Baba Kekere was dealt a good hand and didn't have many reasons not to do well. Unlike today's contemporary governor who apart from dwindling revenue has to deal with crippling debt, decrepit infrastructure, high population, devalued currency and that's just on a regular day. Look at Soludo for instance he's learning the hard way that theory and governance are two entirely different things. afrodoc2: Not 100% true. By 1981 oil prices had fallen and the oil boom had ended. Half of Jakande’s tenure was actually in the midst of a national economic crisis. |

Convert that 'bastard money' to dollars and compare it to how much Jakande had to play with when Naira was more valuable than dollar with lesser population to boot. Jakande did very well but it would help to also factor how many problems he had to deal with compared to the present. BlueRayDick: All these stories after "he did well" are just APC's people way of downplaying his performance.
If u want to be considering all those things u mentioned then u should also consider how modern Lagos state makes "bastard money" as IGR and juxtapose it with the development on ground |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 11:49am On Feb 07, 2023 |
Yes he did very well but don't forget to factor into the equation that during his time Nigeria was rolling in money from oil sales, stable currency, low population and support from the FG then who built a lot of infrastructure in Lagos then from Gowon to Shagari. BlueRayDick: It's simply because social media was not available that time.
Jakande built low cut housing estate in 16 different locations in Lagos state within 4 years he ruled. When I mean Low cost housing estate, I mean low cost housing estates.
My old man as a 32 year old man was able to take mortgage on and own one 3-bedroom flat in one of the estates.
Jakande built the Lagos state secretariat at Alausa, he established Lagos state University, he constructed the lekki-epe expressway, he built hundreds of schools, all of which he did in 4 years.
If anybody manages to achieve half of what that man did in 4years within 8 years in this modern day Era, media no go allow us hear any word again.
His misadventure with the Abacha regime also affected his reputation |

If they had mentioned Amrabat I won't have responded because it was largely down to his midfield performances especially against Spain and Portugal that they were able to go so far. TheSuperNerd: Let me help you with this one Chris.
You know how well I follow Moroccan football and their national teams so I should know this for facts.
At the WC, Hakimi was good but he wasn't even Morocco's best player.
That belongs to either of Bonou, Ounahi or Amrabat if we are being honest. The majority of the world media even had more praises for Amrabat than any other Moroccan on the team and we all know he actually had arguably the biggest influence on Morocco's transition-based plays.
Now, a honest question... can Elyte89 tell us confidently that Sofyan Amrabat will win the APOTY ahead of a player who will end the season on 20+ league goals, a Serie A Title, an MVP award and a Top Scorer award??
And doing so as the first African to top score in Italy ever?? Amrabat of Fiorentina will bag APOTY ahead of a man who will win the title of champion in the same league he features in??
Elyte89 and others of this school of thought... come and answer honestly. 😁 |

How many goals and assists did Hakimi drop at the world cup that makes him deserving of an APOTY award? Well if you can't score against bums to help your country win a major medal that they haven't won in over 50 years then what is your use? So after finishing his playing career Hakimi will show his grandkids 'I got to the world cup semifinal' medal abi? Joezinho: The same fairy tale run Osimhen and his likes could not do. Lol please free them doc it's their coping mechanism shifting goalposts. First it was Osimhen can't score against big teams, now it's Serie A is a dead league same dead league that currently has three teams in the second round. Same dead league that Napoli flogged Liverpool senseless earlier in the season. TheSuperNerd: Explain why Salah didn't score as much in Serie A as he did in only his first season in England.
Salah hasn't gone below 19 in England in the last 5 seasons but couldn't surpass 15 in Italy. Smh.
Also, Lukaku is back in Serie A. Why hasn't he outscored anyone?
Kvara is certainly one of the X-factors in the league and in this Napoli team but so also is Osimhen. Kvara leads in attacking sequence involvements in the league but that is unsurprising as he is a fantastic vertically-oriented creative winger.
Kvara have had his down moments too. He struggled vs Roma at the Olimpico while Osimhen came up Clutch. Kvara wasn't present vs Atalanta while Osimhen scored and assisted in the lad's absence.
Osimhen has come up Clutch for Napoli more than any other player in the league this season.
Both are tops and Osimhen is indeed the main man. It takes a lot of Composure and top mentality to be able to get on the end of moves like Osimhen have done times and again this season.
And he doesn't get spoon fed all the time. He literally has to FIGHT for some balls that look like lost causes and create goals out of them. Like he did today vs Spezia for the first goal. Like he did vs Ajax in the UCL or like he did vs Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.
Funny how you lots wanna talk down on the Serie A now because Osimhen is doing great damage to the league's defensive-minded reputation.
Please say something else. |

I think what egbon Kog45 means is that Osimhen scored those goals at clutch moments when his team needed something to happen. Yes Haaland has an uncanny knack for getting his positioning right in the opposition box. However I think Victor would give Man City more dynamism and unpredictability in attack considering how he drifts to the wide areas. Haalaad no doubt is probably the best finisher in the game right now but Osimhen's other qualities could also make him an ideal target man for the Cityzens. TheGoodJoe:
I beleive Osimhen will perform close to Haaland but, I think Haaland is tidier in finding gaps in the box than Osimhen. However, Osimhen is learning fast and if he improves on it, he will become too deadly. |
