Makinde could squeeze through. Is Pekelemesi jr on the ballot? He could help Seyi divide Folarin's votes.

raumdeuter:
Ortom that was shouting Obi Obi lost

Ikpeazu and Ugwuanyi lost

Lets see if Simi and Makinde will lose
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 6:19pm On Feb 27, 2023
I talk am either Akwa Ibom or Edo PDP will surely win one.

Ellexy:
Atiku cleared Ákwá Ibom

I think we overestimate the power of one region over a politicians chances when we discuss this North/South divide. Buhari has been winning the core north steady for 12 years before 2015 happened yet he could never win nationally. As complex as Nigeria is one thing I've come to realize about attaining leadership of the whole country you need alliances across divides North or no North.

izzou:
Does it look like the North and South agreement will last?

That thing is hanging on a thread

Heard Stella Oduah lost. My biggest satisfaction heard that Ortom lost very incompetent so and so.

izzou:
I am impressed with how LP is retiring politicians in the SE

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 3:53pm On Feb 27, 2023
Time will tell. His good showing in parts of SW and most parts of SS will it be repeated if he's facing a politician from those areas with no obvious baggage?

izzou:
That is why i am sincerely praying he does not decamp.

He is gradually setting himself us as the King of the South.

Just 4 more years, and we will see another party different from APC or PDP
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 3:33pm On Feb 27, 2023
Yep Obi surprised me too after Buhari don't know of any politician that has been able to galvanize this many votes outside his political base.

izzou:
That guy dey vex me.

Obi will forever be a bigger politician than Kwankwaso

Red-capped Fraud
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 3:14pm On Feb 27, 2023
by 1 million plus votes beat APC but PDP was brutalized is part of what is fueling Melaye's frustration grin

He's just a local champion but who knows with money and better structure he could be formidable in the near future.

izzou:
Confirmed? I didn't know

He's still overrated
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 3:10pm On Feb 27, 2023
This is what we have been saying all along. If even 2 of the 4 former PDP factions had come together APC would have been toast long ago.

A40:
The only thing I can say hurt Obi is not selecting a strong Northern candidate. Forget Atiku. An Obi/Kwankwaso ticket would have been straight to Aso Rock
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 1:51pm On Feb 27, 2023
grin I understand all this drama. If I was the one in their shoes with skin in the game I'll probably do worse.

Banter aside INEC's sloppiness is the one causing all this attempt to delegitimize the results.

They had 4 years to purchase or build a proper portal to house all the uploaded results but look at what we got?

afrodoc2:

Confusion break bone!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 1:31pm On Feb 27, 2023
Surprised? maybe not the feelers I got from people around me indicated it might go that way but I thought maybe APC had a solid base of voters to counter and apparently it wasn't enough.

Itsrm:
I remember we had that conversation. You were quite certain that Tinubu will win Lagos but with a lower margin compared to other states grin

The result shock everybody. grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 1:22pm On Feb 27, 2023
True if they were winning they won't be causing drama like this.

Speaking specifically to the uploading of results the portal is still loading results I guess for future election each state should come with their individual servers containing individual state level results.

raumdeuter:
Almost 500k margin let Atiku cancel that. There's a reason Dino is doing Orubebe on TV now
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 1:05pm On Feb 27, 2023
Heard Ikpeazu lost.

Joezinho:
Banky W.. Good candidate.. Sad..

This trash can only happen in SW. Watch them go quiet as ikpeazu and co install their candidates.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 12:37pm On Feb 27, 2023

Add Wike to that mix. The 3 musketeers.

Ibime:
Or Katsina or Kaduna

But by shaving the margins in each

Another calculation to go into next election forecast

Kwankwaso and Obi really came through for Tinubu. He will be highly mad not to keep them on his payroll till next election
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 10:42am On Feb 27, 2023
I didn't quite get the names of the 2 they have declared but they just stepped both of them down so they can go and sort out some figures.

Itsrm:
Which LG is that?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 10:24am On Feb 27, 2023
I think you might be right o watching the live announcement of result on Channels TV. APC just won another LG.

Itsrm:
I'm starting to think he may win Rivers. Did you see the result from Oyigbo? It's unbelievable.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 9:56am On Feb 27, 2023
I don't think people will be that motivated to come out massively to vote out Sanwo plus he's not generally disliked by many people except by hardcore endsars activists like Macaroni, Falz etc.

BlueRayDick:
Don't hold ur breath, Sanwoolu will win the governorship election in Lagos. GRV seem like a good guy, but e no too get visibility like that; Jandor and PDP are jokers.

Then the election will be really be muscled by dem MC Oluomo and company. The disenfranchisement u see this last saturday will be child's play to what will happen next election. Most people who don't want to vote APC will mostly stay away for fear of physical harm . Dem MC Oluomo boys know Sanwoolu's loss is an end to their their operations, it will be a fight for their pocket
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 9:52am On Feb 27, 2023
Very true.

obainojazz:
APC and Buhari’s policies at the federal level gingered people to vote… I don’t think Lagos State government did much bad to people except end sars grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 9:35am On Feb 27, 2023
I agree plus from many people I've interacted with people are not so much against APC but the Tinubu candidacy with his obvious health issues and muslim-muslim talk was too much to swallow. The cosmopolitan nature of the state also counted a lot.

No matter how BAT may try to spin it this is a big blow at least to the ego but in consolation looks like they are winning the war.

nihilistjnr:
Buhari with the power of incumbency won Lagos in 2019 with only 130k votes.

All things being considered, I don't agree the margin of losing in 2023 should be much much higher, like you say.

It's not like APC hasn't been shedding votes in Lagos, but it's also not like Lagos is no longer an APC stronghold.

You guys have done something incredible in Lagos, but don't overstate your reach bro. APC are still very very much active in Lagos.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 9:28am On Feb 27, 2023
This is funny Tinubu might win the presidential election but won't win Kano, Lagos and Rivers mad o grin

The opposition really dropped the ball APC was there for the taking.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 8:15am On Feb 27, 2023
Seems your guys might lose Lagos as well. Sey Sanwo won't be shocked next week?

Oasis003:
grin

Kwankwaso won Kanu but Tinubu didn't poll bad. Atiku completely lulẹ̀.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 7:22pm On Feb 26, 2023
I'm not disputing your point I'm just explaining what could have started that unfounded allegation.

BlueRayDick:
How well do u know Lagos Island ?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 7:09pm On Feb 26, 2023
Like I said before you will always have anarchists waiting to pounce on any situation where there is a breakdown in law and order. So in my opinion it is disingenuous to point at any ethnic group as being responsible for the destructions in Lagos.

What I think gave credence to that story was because of the youtube broadcasts Nnamdi Kanu was making to his men who were supposedly in Lagos to cause mayhem.

BlueRayDick:
Normally I would’ve ignored , but I hate it when people deliberately misinform others who may not be familiar with the true position of things .

Anybody who knows Lagos Island well enough knows there’s no way any Igbo, Hausa , Tiv, Birom, Efik etc people could’ve burnt those aforementioned place. The whole carnage happened on a day when businesses did not open due to the curfew that was imposed by the state government a day before . There are pictures and videos of some of those boys online ( I used to have the videos of the boys sacking the Oba compound , swimming in his pool and carting away his dollars stash ) n

One has to be mischievous to think those boys are Igbo’s who only go to the island to trade in Balogun and the spare parts market around igbosere area that did all that when they couldn’t even leave their respective houses due to the curfew
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 6:41pm On Feb 26, 2023
True to form you ignored the previous posts where I condemn the man but jumped to this one because you want to stir controversy as per usual. Please I beg you jump and pass my posts. Engage with another willing party. Shalom.

Donjazet2:
So instead of being very angry that a governor is truncating the will of the masses, we are celebrating and laughing over it? Really?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 6:33pm On Feb 26, 2023
Even Tinubu would say fear God na! for that kind of cooking grin

raumdeuter:
Lol.
If he does above 60% for APC in Rivers then he has revolutionized the whole thing. Odili and Ibori would be proud
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 6:29pm On Feb 26, 2023
Even that one sef them run things just say eye never open like today.

Unlimited22:
The last election that had a semblance of order was the one Abiola won I think.

I'm not sure I'm correct but isn't that the one option A4 was used?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 6:27pm On Feb 26, 2023
Lol and it's this same Jamil they will yab and call illiterate on social media instead of calming down to learn work so at least you know how to counter them.

Ibime:
Why is 2011 an example of an organised election. Because GEJ won? If you really believe GEJ won that many votes in the North, then I have a bridge to sell you. GEJ simply had the Northern Governors on his side that election after bribing Governors with unfettered access to the Excess Crude account on the midnight of Jan 1st 2011. The same anger and sense of cheating you feel now is the same thing the Northerners felt in 2011 that caused them to riot and start attacking and killing Southerners.

Nigerian elections have always been like this. They give you sense of order and civility in the City, then they write results they need in the rural areas. Adeleke has just done the same thing to Tinubu in Osun.

Jamil the mechanic from Iyana-Iworo knows all these, but you chose to hang hope on the Oyinbo pollsters wey no know ground.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 4:33pm On Feb 26, 2023
Men if this is true it will be too funny. So his famzing Obi didn't even save his hide? lol Anyway I hear people dislike him seriously he's just using fulani herdsmen to cover up his incompetence.

larride:
Ortom lost his senatorial election to APC grin
