I lost mine in 2004 and the most painful contents were the lovely textmessages and passwords to some ftp sites. The numbers, i still can't find some till date. I pray I don't end up in one chance anytime soon, cos the situation of my phone is like that of the PDP. Remember sackcloth? Yea that's more like it Those bastards will so beat the hell outta me! |
As per electricity, Usually that depends on the house, most houses now go for a digital meter, that is pay as you use cards. As for water, most houses have water, so you don't usually need to pay extra. Security is costly, depending on how secure you want your place to be, but if one or two houses on your street are heavily guarded, then you are covered. God watches over the house anyway. Now that OPC guys have been outlawed, Mallams provide the best form of security/gateman, needless to say, living in surulere without a car is hell. Taxis are expensive and bikes are not allowed in many places. Heavily guarded estates or blocks cost even more, maybe an added 40K per annum or more - please note that. Surulere may be so private, armed robbers rarely attack but the proximity to Alaka Estate makes it unsafe to wander at night or very early in the morning. Keep your gates and doors locked, don't pack outside - especially on Eric Manuel Crescent (your car could be in Ladipo by 6am) don't carry laptop bags, use backpacks. May God be your guide. As for hidden charges, Agent fees are the only visible ones, Don't be surprised an Agent's cut could be 60K out of the 360,000 - Yes, agents are really greedy and you pay more when you go through Registered but trustworthy Agents like Jide Taiwo & Co but they won't run away with your money! http://www.jidetaiwoandco.com or www.diya-fatimilehin.com That's if you have the cash to spare. One last thing, try to contact the person who's just moved out or do a site survey yourself, if its an usual target for robbers, or flood or heavy wall cracks or whatever, please do your research before you pay or move in - I wish we could have some sorta 1 Month Free Trial or Moneyback Guarantee! You never can tell especially when the person moved out not because of increase in monthly rental, or built his own house, or has a better offer elsewhere. |
It's unique cos it's not ending like a typical Nigerian Story - IN A CHURCH! I wish authors could break their storyline in bits like this - it's like i've read the whole book without all the long details. Its like the preview of a great movie, everyone wanna go to the Cinema, not much suspense anymore but it's ended like a comedy so you never get tired of reading it. Good job man, hope you'll squeeze that time to develop it. ![]() |
@ Stand, I don't understand, why not help with the details rather than post your number? If 60,000 people were to hit your phone @ once, u know every now, so why not save the trouble and expantiate on this? |
I must confess this author is going places, WoW, her descriptive ability is superb (and the use of commas too). I like it - Keep it up, I hope 2 be @ d launching (plus d lunching) - he he. Thank God I've gone back to my reading habits, I could never write such a comprehensive essay in decades! I should rate it 5 of 4. |
It's a wild story line ![]() But for all her missionary work, why should Bashiru be excited @ using a condom on her ![]() It's a nice fiction and I can imagine it in a comic, i'd love it that way! - or an animated cartoon - whatcha think? |
Nope, Lagos Agents usually demand for 2 years down payment. I'm looking forward to a time when our agents will demand for quarterly payment, it's killing. So you may be lucky to get 180,000 per annum + Agent Fees. - That's some real luck in Surulere. It's a colonial location, more reason why it's high. Ikoyi, GRA Ikeja and Palmgrove Estate are other colonial locations and are even more expensive. |
No more 17:59…! Last month, National University of Lesotho scientists released the results of a recent analysis that revealed the presence of female hormones in beer. Men should take a concerned look at their beer consumption. The theory is that beer contains female hormones (hops contain phytoestrogens) and that by drinking enough beer, men turn into women. To test the theory, 100 men drank 8 pints of beer each within a 1 hour period. It was then observed that 100% of the test subjects: 1) argued over nothing. 2) refused to apologize when obviously wrong. 3) Gained weight. 4) Talked excessively without making sense. 5) Became overly emotional. 6) Couldn't drive. 7) Failed to think rationally Had to sit down while urinating. No further testing was considered necessary. Send this to the men you know to warn them about drinking too much beer! And send it to your women friends to give them a good laugh! If you think they can handle it. |
@ Surulere! Hmnn, hope you have @ least 360,000 then you'll be lucky enough to get a BQ! depending on the area. you have a choice - Alaka or Ipori Estate, or them Bank Olemo & Co. Housing is quite expensive in Surulere o, why not move to Maryland or palmgrove or smth? Maryland is the Centre of Lagos for all I care! |

Word darkman, word, But have you heard of 3DMark05 I understand there's even 06 now, maybe if you can try that on your system, the download size is about 300MB or more. I have the full version of 05 if u need it, but i'm in Lagos. Google 3dMark05 and read up the reviews on it. I understand www.guru3d.com even have a forum where users come in to drop their views and their benchmarks on VGA's processors, mainboards and stuffs. For Benchmark results, check http://forums.guru3d.com//showthread.php?t=179987 or check www.hardwaresecrets.com cheers. FYI, Athlon 64 FX's now 218 dolls. |
Makavelis, One, you are using a pirated name Two, this sound track is that of Tupac's Ghetto Gospel, how come u produced it in 2003? Three, I thought it was bow wow rapping, can't we be original for once? You can get a deal, you know to start from somewhere, @ least I have Nigerians like that - 1. Maintain (uncountable s'track pirates) 2. P- Square (get squared) 3. Sound sultan (still back in d days) 4. Platashun Boys (Plantashun Boys) So you won't be the first, but like 2face's hit, please be original. I wish you the best. |
http://blogs.zdnet.com/Bott/?p=98 I don't know what MS are doing with this WGA of a thing, but it sure will bring enough users to Linux, its a "Kill Switch". Imagine, I formatted my hard disk and used the rescue disk, and the next thing my copy of windows is "PIRATED" Let's wait and see. |

As Pope John Paul II was dying; he sent for Tafa Balogun and Dieprieye Alamiesiegha to come to the Vatican. When they arrived, they were ushered to his bedroom. As they entered , the clergyman held out his hands and motioned them to sit on each side of the bed. The Pope grasped their hands, sighed contentedly, smiled and stared at the ceiling. For a time, no one said anything. Both Tafa and Dieprieye were touched and flattered that the old Pope would ask them to be with him during his final moment. They were also puzzled because the Pope never gave any indication that he liked either of them. Finally, Tafa asked, "Father, what for did you ask the two of us to come 'ere?" The old Pope mustered up some strength & said weakly, "Jesus died between two thieves,i will like to die like him" |
