CotenantNIG: Have you tried to buy land in some parts of Lagos and have been told to pay Omo-Onile Signing Fees Like this Below
https://pwanmax.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/OMONILE-FEES-480x630.jpeg
Who are Omo-Onile? Omo onile in Yoruba means “the child of the landowner.” Thus, an individual indigene of any specific Yoruba settlement may sell the portion of the family land appropriated to him or her.
The fear of Omo Onile is the beginning of wisdom for land developers in Lagos. Even with the best of education and your eyes wide open, you might discover that you have bought your land from ‘charlatans and impostors.’ The doctrine that governs the land market in Lagos is ‘buyers beware’. The multiple sale of land by branches of the same family is not generally considered a heinous crime but a minor side effect of African polygamy. In a house you built fifty years ago, you may one day find a fellow at your doorstep brandishing a paper called ‘court judgment’ that makes him the new owner of the land on which your property is built. The solution is ‘settlement’ that requires skillful bargaining. The possession of Certificate of Ownership is no defence in such matters.
In Some parts of Lagos, this is what you pay for
To put Foundation on the land N200,000 To collect the Deed of Assignment as proof of purchase of the land and receiving your money N200,000 To fence the property as a precaution against Land Fraudsters N150,000 To put a structure on it with Decking N200,000 To Construct a Roof on the property N160,000 Community Money for coming into their Village to buy a land N100,000
It's as if it's a crime to come to their place to buy land. I think our law is too weak to make these people to stop doing this nonsense all in the name of Omo-Onile
If you buy land at Elegushi, it's N2.5Million to just sign your document minus foundation and the rest of the nonsense they demand. In Badore, Olokonla, and areas controlled by the Olumegbon, it is N500,000 to sign your documents.
In Agungi, Osapa London, Chevron, and areas controlled by the Ojomu family, it's N1.5Million to sign your documents alone. Even those ones in the heart of Ibeju Lekki and Epe are beginning to copy their more illustrious counterparts to demand between N100,000 to N200,000 to buy land at Eleko or Free Trade Zone.
In Some part of Ikotun, Egbeda its almost N50,000 Share your Omo Onile Wahala
https://pwanmax.com/2021/02/09/omo-onile-signing-fees/ So to build a small 3 bedroom flat I’ll pay over a milion Naira, I don’t blame them at all, it’s the government that is allowing them do these nonsense. Total nonsense!!! Government are extorting it’s citizens, it’s citizen are also doing them to themselves... which kind country be this sef? |

slimcassi: So sometime this afternoon I heard the cry of a chick through my window and the cry was non-stop, I decide to go out and check cos we don't have any new born chick at home, I discovered a carton and in it was this little chicken, immediately I asked wat it was doing in the compound was told my younger brother found it all alone by our fence and he decided to take it in.
Not use to that I told him to quickly return the chick back from where he took it from and he did, now 5mins' later I heard the cry again this tym I was angry cus I tot my younger bro didn't do as I said, so I called on him " didn't I tell u to return the chick back to where u took it from" but I did was his response,... then why am I still hearing it.
We went out to check and there the chick was in the compound roaming about, this tym I took it out myself just to b sure came back inside and closed the gate. Hadn't even settled down in my room to relax wen I heard the chick again 'ah ah wetin come b dis wan now' were my thought went out again and there it was......
To cut the story short I decided to keep it, funny thing now is the chick has bin following me up and down since, if I pick it up it stops crying and if I drop it it start to cry back(you know those sounds they make wen dey don't see their Moda) sometimes I'll drop my hand and it will walk straight into my palm cool and calm. It literally slept in my palm today and looking at it all cute I didn't want to drop it.
So I have decided to keep the chick, it's a native fowl tho. Thinking of a name to give it, can't really say if it's a male or female. Anyways I'll keep u guys posted. Probably see you as it’s mother.. |

craigkoel1989: Anytime my wife makes me angry I destroy things, the first day she made me angry I destroyed the television remote, another day was the dining table and yesterday I smashed her Android Samsung phone even though I later became remorse and bought her a new one.
I am afraid I might beat her one day.
What is wrong with me and what can i do to stop it? You really need to work on your anger oo, Before your wife starts withdrawing away from you. Cause you both won’t be able to communicate as couples or have a tacky conversation that could lead to argument which is normal. First things first whenever you have an argument , best thing is not to trade words with her, just let her vent, if you can’t take what she’s saying better lock yourself up in a room that’s if you have a spare room or just take a stroll out of the house to breathe. When you return, you should be able to talk to her in a very subtle way, which I know by then she would be calm... it’s not easy at all, cause the ego of men is what usually leads to anger mismanagement... Lastly, I’m glad you have identified that you have a problem that needs urgent help. Keep doing research on how to work on it. You’ll be Alright... Goodluck |

tylerboy1501: Good day fellas, I need your suggestion or idea on step to take.
My wife that stays with me at home, though I have not paid bride price yet, planning doing it next year by God grace just opened up to me today that our neighbor who stays in the same compound approached her when she went out to brush her teeth and started telling her that he will like to befriend her and that he heard when we were quarrelling at home, that I'm not supposed to santion her for whatever reason, that he loves her and sees her in his dream that he will like to friend her.
So she told him that he has someone already which he knew and she told him that if he didn't stop he will tell me, he now begged her not to let me be aware of it.
This incidence happened about a month ago, so I was surprised when she opened up to me today. I was not happy at all. I need to take an action before it's out of hand.
Meanwhile we are only 2 Tennants living in the compound
Pls guys what do I do? Continue to observe him, if he continues my brother na to confront am oo no time ... |

nwekeugochukwu: Aisha Yesufu Advises Married Couples: 'For Your Marriage To Work, Keep Your Mother Out Of It'
Activist, Aisha yesufu has taken to her Twitter handle to advise married couples to keep their mothers out of their marriage if they want their marriage to work, IgbereTV reports.
According to her, the moment you start sharing what is happening in your marriage with your mother, she will begin to interfere in your marriage which will cause you trouble.
Read her tweets below.
https://twitter.com/AishaYesufu/status/1337444817903742979?s=19[/quote]She’s absolutely correct... mothers always causing issues for their son’s marriage is mainly because the son gave the mother the opportunity to interfere and meddle into their marriage affairs. Men must truly understand the saying in the Bible, that a man must leave his father and mother, to find his better half. It says a lot but because most men feel they don’t wanna hurt their mom they tend to share virtually everything that happens. Like she says find what works for you, and that actually works for me. It’s no disrespect to help your parents understand these things. |
