Well my most embarrassing moment came today.
Few weeks ago I had some few things(hope u understand) with a girl in my church, it got public and I denied having any affair with her, I was asked like 20times, I denied all even my Dad and pastor asked but today she opened up and told people. Jesus, right now I felt like committing suicide.

Its not like I am not matured enough to do it, I just felt embarrassed since I have been hiding it.

I am a guy of 29 years old and she's 24 years old. She is a nurse and she is working and earning good salary. We have been dating for the past 3 years, ever since she came into my life things have been moving forward. Between the space of three years I was able to buy a land and build two flat (almost completed) and also buy a nice car. All this was possible because she was in my life. She later resigned from her nursing work and started her own chemist shop, I supported her with 300k she rejected it and asked me to add it to the money for house project. She is making some good money from her store any way.

Now we plan to do our marriage by December and I budgeted more than 1 million naira.
the problem is that she insisted that it is too much that I should not spend more than 500k that's been a problem to us but later settle it. because she won't just listen to me she wants me to spend less than that the reason why I wanted to spend more than 1 million Naira was because she deserves it.

So because of that we adjusted the marriage to three months time since it's just 500k I am spending now my question is can I spend 500k for a moderate marriage? And I wanted to do something tangible for her because she deserve more than everything I have, please what other things can I do for her that will be equivalent to everything she has done for me.

Since we have been dating she has never asked me for big money and also when ever I give her she always tells me that she gat money that no need to give her, in fact she love me so much that she don't even accept money from me unless gift. Now I want to do something tangible for her because since I have been dating her she doesn't allow me spent on her that much, and she doesn't complain.

I have a female friend who got married last year October precisely.

Fast forward to March this year the Mother In Law came to stay with the couple in a bid to visit her hospital within the couple’s area for medical checkup, reason being that she stays a bit farther away in the same state.

Upon her Mother in law’s arrival, she came with my friend’s husband brother accompanied by his girlfriend who all planned staying and eventually stayed without prior notice.

My friend(the lady) is a banker and was only informed casually by her husband while she was at work on the day of their arrival. His excuse was the mother called impromptu about the visit which I don’t think is bad anyway.

These couple stay in a three bedroom apartment and only one room has bed in it. This is the room the couple sleep.

The first two days of the mother inlaw, brother and brother’s girlfriend arrival, the couple had to sleep in the living room while the mother in law and the brother in law’s girlfriend slept in the couple’s room.

As days goes by, the husband who is self employed suggested the the rest of them will handle cooking in the house due to the wife’s tight schedule as per banking job in Lagos.

Part of the consequence of their visit is that they have overthrown the kitchen and like most ladies my friend wasn’t cool with this but tried to keep her cool.

The lady(my friend) became curious and asked the husband to clarify if the mother in law and co intends to stay with them permanently. The husband subsequently flared up with the allegations that his wife doesn’t want his people around. This happened to be the third time his wife asked this question in the space of two weeks.

One thing led to the other on the third time of asking this question my friends husband beat her up and chased her out of the house while the mother stood and watched without interfering.

Efforts to reconcile has proved abortive as the husband refused to let her in again and categorically said to my friend’s dad he isn’t interested in the marriage anymore. The mother in law refused to interfere.

PS: The hubby’s mother is a separated single mother.
PS: My friend and her hubby both contributed to pay the rent
PS: The hubby’s father is not in support of all the happenings and all efforts to reach his son proved abortive since the misunderstanding. He wouldn’t answer his dad’s calls.

Bruv, the first thing you need to do now is to make them to be scared of you. Very necessary at this point.

Next time you send any of them message and he/she refuses because of your wife, flog the hell out of that one, if your wife tries to misbehave, flog her too with well-deserved uppercut and smackdown. If possible, stop eating her food because she's capable of doing something unexpected with what you eat.

They'll become scared of your recent behavior and adjust. Strict dads keep the best, calm and organized home.

What next? Your wife will try to manipulate them by using your new attitude towards them. Keep being strict towards them and still do your fatherly works towards them.

Trust me, you need to go very hard right now since your soft ways ain't working.

Mothers manipulations towards their kids against their dad can only function when they are tender, when they grow, they MUST know the truth and the mum will be at the loosing end.

If you don't have the mind to do what I've advised--Divorce your wife. You can't keep housing a demon who's quick to use your kids against you because she's closer to them.

The Street Is Getting Hot! My Experience Last Night.

About Last night...

Between 7:40pm - 7:45pm, It was dark, weather wasn't cooling down as quickly as it should and I've bored to eternity. So I decided to put on the generator to see a couple of movies I downloaded during the day.

I took the generator out to the backyard but for some funny reason, I opted to parboil rice first and set it for final cooking before returning to the generator.

Once done, I picked the gallon of fuel and that of the oil back to the the generator, and fiaaaaam, like a stunt in a Nigerian movie, my "Gen" was gone. I was stunned, my neighbour's generator was actually ON at the time, so I came back inside and went straight to check if any of neighbours returned it inside while I was in the kitchen, NONE!...lol, water don pass garri!

My landlady happened to be around and I sort of whispered "ndi a parala my gen o" and she was like "whaaat??!!, Please don't be joking like that" and reiterated I wasn't. Hunt for the gen started.

We went back out, I gently searched around, for footprints that weren't mine and which seemed to be moving away from the building and after some minutes, I found one, still fresh and at the edge of the fence where a heavy downpour with its accompanying breeze, brought down a part of the fence with our neighbours at the back. Drew the woman's attention to it, and she shouted even more.

I followed the footprint carefully but lost it halfway through the other building, but proceeded to the front where a couple where already watching from, trying to decipher what the noise was about. I told them as I got there and they said no one had Crossed them there, and on the strength of that, some others who had gathered after hearing the alarm my landlady raised, suggested we begin searching the front of the building adjacent to us at the back.

We started the search, with the help of the other guys who came out there, after some minutes..I found the generator, carefully kept under a table but partially covered with some rags for disguise.

All along I was largely speechless, but deep down I was enraged, super enraged but tried well to keep my cool.

You're under lockdown, I'm under lockdown..our stupid politicians are only after making radio and TV announcements without accompanying actions and Na my own Gen an idiot go wan move!!!

After this experience, I think I will get a nice machet, sharpen it front and back, and drop it closeby because I know this will get to a stage where some idiots will attempt to pick something from your room through the burglary, and nwanne if I jam that hand, just accept that the part that got in through the burglary is gone for good!!

The police and other security agencies are busy chasing Keke drivers and Okada who defied lockdown to try and feed, so none would be available to help o.

I see this happen a lot on here and although it irked me a lot in the initial times, I've also realised that people might be unaware of certain things and all they need is enlightenment.

You do not ask your advanced colleague to reach out to you, 90% of the time, they won't and you might even put yourself in the light of being lazy and unserious.

Do your own research about past posts of the individual you are intrested in. Check if they've already made posts as regards your interests, even if you have to read back 100s of posts [you can find a selected persons past posts when you go to their profile]. If eventually you find nothing, then check if they've already posted their contact details, if they haven't then send a message to them via the NL message function and maybe remind the individual by quoting them.

You don't beat a willing horse to death. It's enough sacrifice for one to go all out to give out ones winnings strategy, asking for absolutely nothing in return. Appreciate that gesture and encourage the person by making life a little less stressful for them. Thank you.
