As for things we can do,I suggest we try the normal devil's basket,a power jam challenge(where we select some guys nd chicks randomly to contest nd winner hooks up wit the hottest guys/chicks for d day),a mini dance compi(na me go carry last here),a wooing competition(just for fun). any guy/girl picks out a girl/guy of his/her choice nd tries to woo her. if succeesful,gets a round of applause but gets booed if he or she fails. wooing challenge to last for 3mins per person. These are the few stuffs I can think of now nd dont know how it sounds though. Let's have more ideas...

Just thought I should share this based on a few personal experinces & stuffs from the past,observations & gists around. A few years back when I used to be really into clubbing,I practically spent most of my weekends out at night with friends & obviously,we would hook up with some very lovely pretty chicks & they normally had lovely english names. I realised then that most of these girls where sex workers or runz girls as you'd love to call it. It wasnt always obvious for all of them. Some coded it well. You'd see a girl & start wishing she could be yours forever,only to discover nasty stuffs later. Some looked pretty innocent. On one occassion,there was this girl who after all the trips at night,changed into native buba & skirt with headtie to match(early hours of the morning). I looked at her and saw so much innocence in her eyes... She looked like she was just coming from a night vigil(all earrings taken off,make up cleaned up,etc). Now,I'll type a few of the names I can remember here but pls,this doesnt mean all girls who bear these names are bad. Alright guys,let me say something here. I dont want it to sound like I'm complaining but pls,permit me to speak up. I dont know what I was thinking when I put my no there. Perhaps,I got too touched with sandra's story & wanted to help out. However,some readers have called to appreciate my words of advice & feel like they'd love to call me from time to time when they got issues. I got no problem with that. The U.S is strong today & so powerful cos it was founded by,and consists of people from various nationalities & races. Over 40,000yrs ago,native indians lived there and were the original settlers there. There were migrations & movements of people from asia to there also. France,Britain,Spain,Netherlands,all had colonies there. African slaves were also shipped there. Other europeans from the west and east also migrated there. All these nationalities,strengthened the foundation of modern day America. By 1776,they declared independence from Britain & defeated Britain in the war,with help from France & Spain. As soon as they got their freedom,they started massive expansion,defeated France & Spain & took over their colonies. They annexed Hawaii & purchased Alaska from Russia. They fought against the native indians & got more territories,slaughtered most of the buffalos reared by the native indians,to boost rail transportation & generally,weakened the indians. All these & much more.
The will to live together peacefully,by a collective group of people from different ethnic backgrounds,nationalities & race,created the modern day America. The only race not mixed in the American development is the Arab race. This explains why the battle against terrorism has always been between them & the Arab nations. As it is,it's safe to say the whole world except Arabians,created the U.S. This also explains why you have all sorts of stuffs coming out of the U.S. Today,the US owns more than 13 other territories(both dependent & independent) in the carribeans...
Why cant Nigeria be like the US? Why cant all the 750 ethnic groups be unified to form a stronger nation than the US using our "differences" as our "strength"?
Looking closely at the composition of the USA from inception,there is no reason why Nigeria shouldn't do better. We have great strength in our cultural diversity & we can draw on this to build a stronger nation just like the Americans did. All we need do is see ourselves as equal and as one,and make conscious efforts to retain that formula. This is just the secret ingredient that has kept the US as one. I got no doubt that Nigeria can be great if we put our minds to make it work.

NB: My desire to know what makes America thick & unified,led me into studying & researching the history of nations. I think we should all do this & help pass/share whatever knowledge we get from it around. I think it's a global thing. Ask most Nigerians where peru,barbados,bahrain,cambodia,oman,belize,antigua & barbuda,el salvador,grenada,dominica,saint vincent & grenadines,saint lucia,saint kitts & nevis,nicaragua,etc are located & they wont be able to answer you. As much as we feel the girl in question is dumb which I do not dispute,lets also not forget that north america as a continent,is largely made up of the USA,with canada,cuba & other carribean nations, making up the nos. The U.S alone is "almost" a continent on its own. The media there hasnt helped them either as they're most times fed with one sided info. Most Americans see Africa as a country not continent. They know more about Africa but little about the individual countries. As much as we see Nigeria as big,to the average American/European,Nigeria is almost like saint lucia or saint kitts & nevis that most Africans do not know if & where it exists. Luckily for us,sports & internet scam perpetuated by yahoo boys has also created some kind of awareness. Moreover,lets not forget that it's only recently that Nigeria started getting on the spotlight & started attracting international interest. Millitary rule in this country made us as irrelevant as anything. We all went to school & most of the countries we know are the ones we were taught. Only those who took extra interest or travel out regularly will know that some of these others countries exist.

I know this might not sound too good to many but pls,let's be sincere and do what is right. Pls,if u're in a relationship and u & ur partner are AS(genotype),pls for the love of God,end that relationship asap. u dnt wanna go thru the pains of spending all ur earnings on sickle cell kids who would cos u so much pain,suffer & could eventually die. Some die as infants,some as young adults and I'm yet to see a 60yr old sickle cell patient(not saying there is none though). Do not be selfish by thinking abt urselves alone. Pls take these kids into consideration;dnt let them suffer for ur mistakes. I've had to post on a topic on this forum abt this but unfortunately,some pple seem to be carried away with the religious myth of faith. Yes,I'm a christian,a strong believer of God & I believe in faith. But the bible teaches us that wisdom is profitable unto direct. I have seen several sickle cell patients & trust me,it hasn't been funny. I know of one who is almost 40 & still needs his mum to look after him. He was suppose to work with me at some point but I just couldn't allow it out of fear of him falling into crisis on my set,based on the fact that I'm a workaholic & will not be able to monitor his health. I've seen parents raise kids & they end up dying in their 20's/30's. I'm not trying to say that they dont survive but most of the time,a lot of us here,are aware of what it finally gets to. Govt has done a lot to enlighten the public too. Pls,dnt get sentimental abt this & rely on religion. A stitch in time saves nine. The economy aint gettin better,weather conditions aint improving,a lot is happening... Dnt tell us abt faith & allow kids suffer unnecessarily. Even if you guys love urselves,think of ur future kids,love them more & do what is right. I'm tired of pple talking abt faith when it comes to sickle cos a large percentage of these kids eventually die after a lot of money/time/emotions/love has been spent on them. God bless you guys as you apply wisdom.

How the heck did u guess that right?...lolz. My parents are both AA & all my siblings are. I just think I'm fortunate to be one. Honestly,life would have been great for this lady if the AS-AS issue didnt arise(guessing from her statements). I really feel bad for her though.
