8. You are a womaniser: Womanisers are fabrics of the poorest grade when it comes to marriage.
9. You drink/sleep too much: ladies, run away from such materials.
10. You still derive joy in arguing about superheroes with the greatest super power. Ladies, desist from such men.

Since I am guilty of No.10, it follows that I am not a husband material

Yup.. I moved in when it was a Govt Quarters...block A was the BQ..then it was sold to the tycoon who bought it and renovated it..Block D was an empty plot of land with a Mango Tree. When students flooded the place, we retreated to block A and fortified it into our ghetto...smoke, gamble, bleep, etc..Nobody disturbs you..we had Baggers, Axeman, 22, Etc living together..no harassment..we provided refuge to all fleeing members during rough seas..once you make it to the Ghetto, no bullet can touch you. beautiful place! We patrolled from Front gate to water board to Red house..no rubbish was tolerated! No I hear everywhere is a killing field..what is UHA doing? God bless IMSU sha ( though them can frustrate person oh)
It has gone bad oh. Bagas own diamond lodge now. Red house na ayes. Buccaneers de, but low key. Front gate is worse than bishop's court now. They shoot here like frequently. You would know diamond lodge has changed alot. The man has developed any available space. Uha no get mouth. Na just carnival them de organise.

Wow. Block A is still what it is oh. Where the bad guys hang out. The smoking that goes on there is big.

PoliticsRe: How 21 Years Old Imsu Student Was Shot Dead By Cult Member by Chuksemi(m): 8:53pm On May 23, 2016
I remember that night. I used to stay in Diamond lodge. Opposite Great Star hostel. Raymond used to come to our hostel to play football often. Great star is not spacious, unlike diamond lodge.

About 4 hospitals rejected him that night. Raymond really fought for his life. But because the hospitals were scared. He gave up due to excessive blood loss.

Dear Imsu students,
About 6 months ago, your Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha unveiled the supposed biggest statue of Jesus in Africa. You all cheered and clapped and celebrated, of course Jesus is in town, what you didn't know is that that statue gulped money that can be used as palliative to end this strike of 2 months and counting. Eku strike o, Let's celebrate Jesus more.
Lol, the christmas tree pains me more.

Even if you see pictures you will still deny glaring things. Owerri is not anything near a mega city but no city in Nigeria apart from Abuja has developed at its pace. Owerri has metamorphosed and so has Orlu. Okigwe remains stagnant.
Ok. I agree. Please, call Rochas on phone. Text him or whatever it is you can do. The way you defend him here, you certainly have physical connections with him. Tell him the strike has lasted too long, he should do something so it can be called off.

I am at my wits end.

Besides, why all the meetings. The monies should start rolling in, enough of publicity. I want to hear, he has been given a huge sum of money.

If Strike hasn't help us, as you have said...
What do you think is the right thing to be done?

Or Government is always right... All the time?

Or should we be more patient?

Or should we suffer in silence? And hope the next Government would be better?

What do you advocate for.. I am curious to know.

Thanks!!
Revolution. I advocate for removal of any leader that has failed. Strike may be useful in most countries. In Nigeria, we strike for unecessary reasons. And call it off without achieveing anything.

That's the world we live in bro...
West is seen as the standard for things...
Effects of post neo colonialism....
I would have said why are you wearing western clothes or technologies, but that would be me being petty....
Even in science the dominate Africans are good love making, corruption, dictatorship, brutality and rituals..... That's the sad glaring truth
I am not against picking stuffs from white people. I am against picking everything. Atleast before something should be accepted. It should be weighed. A lion won't spare me if he sees me. But I am supposed to see him, leave him and call animal service because I love him?

We are definitely pronounced in most of the things you said, but the problem comes from an attempt to be like the whites. Remember, corruption and maimings became a norm when we discarded most of our cultures and beliefs, for the whiteman's free for all behaviour.

Firstly, the problem is that Nigeria don't have a active law or policy with regards to Animal breeding, management, protection...
I remember long ago in Ontario region , we needed a license just to go fishing....

Secondly, about snakes, I personally don't like them, I know that not all species are not harmful to a fully grown man with respect to some size of Pythons (the can still swallow ur little child)..

If I see a snake personally I will kill it immediately no time for long story, we as a Nation has not advanced to the level of calling Animal service.
Sir, why should this be an 'advancement'? I want to understand why we must follow the whiteman in every thing, to become 'advanced'. We pick up literally whatever shi.t that comes from a white a.ss. Why, sir? Why?
Nairaland GeneralRe: SEUN, If You Ignore This - Then You Have Personal Issues by Chuksemi(m): 9:39am On May 20, 2016
With the kind of comments I am seeing here. I want to weep for my country. Everybody is saying ' it is horifying, terrible, backward' please, what makes the killing of an animal backward?

Because the whiteman stopped something and called it wrong. We must certainly do the same? China kills almost anything that is tagged an animal. Are they backward? Are they languishing in savagery? I don't understand why we can't think with our brains. We prefer using the TV, whatever white culture we see on TV, we adopt.

Africa is backward because we keep trying to imitate someone else. Why can't we be original for once. Everything we do now is imitated. Kai, imagine guys saying killing an animal is babaric. Please, people that are against this killing of wild animals should come up with something feasible.

Someone said he is a wildlifer and the said animal was going extinct. I can understand that. But the op's reason is senseless.

Savagery from people is tacitly encouraged by the small minded moderators on this forum. Everyone is out to kill their own snake and be featured on front page, when they should outrightly be banned.
On a similar note, lynchings and corpses are displayed on front page in some macabre exhibitionism. I just cannot wrap my head around it.
This dysfunction is a national problem and I understand now that it is hardwired in many uneducated and poverty stricken people.
So, what's your excuse?
Did you actually type this? Or your keyboard has click issues? People should be banned for killing snakes? Sire, give reasons why this should be so, asides the fact that whitemen don't kill snakes, I want an original reason.

I bought your idea, but don't have a MasterCard to pay for it, so I'll just drop it like it's hot. Different environments, different lifestyles. That's what makes the world less boring!

I never liked speaking pidgin English until a foreigner fell in love with it, and I thought about it. She pestered me to teach her. Now, I've realized we're actually unique. Even our accent is so loved abroad! It's not a story, I have witnessed thousands of times. I deleted most of my wacky foreign jamz and downloaded my dearly Naija Jamz
. Why? Because we're unique.

In a hungry land you think like a hungry man, else be ready to die.

Don't try to belong — re-create and invent or re-invent your style. It doesn't matter if it's good or bad — let it be unique. That's all.

Oga, you deserve a gift. Imagine this whiteman wannabe. I don't understand how someone like him will think from his TV.
Nairaland GeneralRe: SEUN, If You Ignore This - Then You Have Personal Issues by Chuksemi(m): 9:27am On May 20, 2016
I am personally offended. What kind of rubbish is this? Seun please don't bother repyling this white man as.s licker.

This is why the black man remains a dunce. So because Europe is promoting animal rights, we should do the same? Do you know that in most Asian countries, almost any animal is killed for meat? Even cockroaches and rats. Why don't you go there and shout animal right. I don't understand why we can't think for ourselves.

If the white man comes tomorrow and says don't barb hair, protect hair rights. I am sure it is your type that will start keeping afro and shout down any body that cuts his/her hair.
Oga, reason for yourself, stop follow follow.

Imagine comparing Nairaland to Reddit. Reddit is white, Nairaland is black. Must Nairaland be like Reddit? So Nairaland should loose it's originality and appeal to the black populace in an attempt to impress the lighter skinned? You haven't even given any strong reason why the killing of a fish shouldn't grace frontpage.

Lynched, burnt alive, wiped out, over what?

It's no lie that Okorocha has made Owerri a mega city.

It's no lie that five of the state and federal universities and polys in Imo state are in Owerri zone : others have nothing.

So why would you suggest lynch, burn alive, wiped out for the guy up there who said the truth?

Okorocha by the way is the only Imo governor that agreed to build permanent structures in present IMSU site Owerri. Other governors have not built such permanent structures because they all believed that IMSU can't be in that site.

Okorocha has indirectly started a permanent site for IMSU in Mbaise, but refused that to Orlu zone which merits location of IMSU, because Okorocha wants a private university for himself in Ideato.
The way you say mega city, an observer would think owerri was one bushy area before Rochas the messiah. Please, let's deal facts here.

Asides the fountains, and the federal TET fund projects in Imsu. How exactly has Rochas turned Owerri into a mega city? Or did you mean the destruction and rebuilding of roundabouts?

Sire, give me facts now, I want to see the developmental strides Rochas has taken, that transformed owerri into a mega city. It's not as if he didn't meet the insitutions the way they are.

It's really helpful article for Nigerian job seekers with all that university degree craze in them. A good number of people seek other job fields because they can't get what they studied, instead of thinking 'maybe i'm not so good at this afterall' smiley
I think you should be paid for posting this. With the current trend and certificate craze, I think employers need this article more than undergraduates or recent graduates. The term 'marketable courses' has become vogue and should be discarded.

Understanding the futility of the B.sc is important.
