Agrika: I want to draw the attention of officials of INEC to the mass age falsification that is current going on in kano in the ongoing voters card registration. This is not based on heresay but on personal account i.e something I witnessed "korokoro" with my eyes, in the north, most especially kano, kids as young as 13 years are queuing up to be registered for 2015 election, upon investigation, I found out that this was very frequent as in very very frequent with most states in the north, especially kano state
Jega knows whats up. It's just going to be another big sham election if these issues aren't addressed quickly.
atlwireles: FROM the United States (U.S) government has come a pledge of further support for the multinational force combating Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria and the neighbouring countries.
According to the spokesperson for the U.S Department of State, Jen Psaki, the support which will come in the coming weeks, will take the form of equipment provision, advice, intelligence, training and logistics.
Psaki who pledged the support on behalf of the U.S government during interactive session with journalists recently said his home government has been providing general support to the forces to counter activities of the terrorists group and will consider additional support in the coming weeks.
“We are aware of reports that Chadian and Nigerien troops are taking action against Boko Haram in northeastern Nigeria, as are Nigerian forces. We welcome the coordinated efforts by the defence and security forces of the region to protect civilians from Boko Haram. “We are providing general support for the counter-Boko Haram effort, including equipment, training, and intelligence. We’ll consider additional equipment, training, advisory, and logistics support in the weeks ahead, and that’s something that has been ongoing in terms of our support for the counter-Boko Haram efforts for some time now,” he said.
On the recent declaration of allegiance to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) by Boko Haram, Psaki, who dismissed the declaration as nothing different from previous ones, however, said that his country would study the validity of the report, and would continue to study the situation closely. “We’re undertaking to assess the validity of these reports. Regardless of what links may or may not exist, Boko Haram remains a tremendous threat to the stability of the region and the safety of civilians. I think it’s important to also note that Boko Haram has previously pledged allegiance to both AQIM and al-Qaida core in the past, but those pledges were assessed to be pledges of solidarity rather than any indication that its leadership plan to take orders from or allow these groups to usurp control”.
“In fact, we observed minimal operational cooperation among the groups in that particular case. So I just thought that was relevant information in terms of what’s happened in the past. Obviously, we’ll look into this, but we’ve also seen similar claims that are more designed for propaganda purposes than operational engagement. But we’ll, of course, assess the validity. We’ll assess what it means. We continue to watch closely, and obviously, we take any of this seriously.
One notable thing amongst the Igbo is that politics isn't played with bitterness. Imagine which other zone this is possible to invite Pat utomi, an APC stalwart to speak in an APGA/PDP state. Other states would have burnt Utomi's vehicle by now.

God Bless Nigeria! God Bless the Coalition force God Bless the Millitary God Bless Goodluck Jonathan
Yes, we shall reclaim every inch of Nigeria from the terrorists and make Nigeria great again!
This type of press releases makes worry that a rift is being gradually driven between Nigeria and Chad in order to thwart the successful military effort against Boko haram terrorists.
Does our government not know that there is a global conspiracy to defeat Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel and Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria?
Do they not know that the foreign media isn't controlled by Chad, Cameroon or Niger?
The foreign media controlled by the same super power countries that swore to frustrate any arms procurement to defeat Boko haram were dismayed that France gave her blessing for Chad, Cameroon and Niger to participate in the effort to defeat Boko Haram. Knowing there was nothing they could do or say to deter these countries, they turned on Nigeria and started to play their ego game. Saying that only Chad was responsible for the victories against Boko Haram. Knowing that such press statements would make an ego sensitive Nigeria to ask Chad and Cameroon to leave Nigeria and withdraw from all military action against Boko Haram.
I am so disappointed that we are "falling" for such rudimentary tricks by those foreign countries that wish Boko Haram would overwhelm Nigeria. Our military is seriously infiltrated and compromised by Boko Haram supporters who would find these purported "press statements" a perfect opportunity to ask Chad to withdraw. However, i expected that for the sake of saving the lives of Nigerians tormented by Boko Haram, our government would override and thwart such dubious military commanders agenda by asking Chad to press-on with her military offensive until all Boko Haram territories are recaptured.
The Federal Government has assured that it would continue to collaborate with Cameroun, Chad and Niger in spite of attempts by the neighbouring countries to claim credit for the gains made over the past few weeks in the clampdown on Boko Haram terrorists, to uproot the deadly group from the North-East.
The Nigerian government stressed that what was paramount was the need to totally flush out terrorists and restore peace and stability in the troubled region.
Coordinator of the National Information Centre, Mike Omeri, who said this in an interview at the weekend, noted that Nigeria was not in competition with anyone on the subject.
“You are aware that our President (called) the first meeting between Chad, Niger and Cameroun in France and has also taken the matter to the United Nations G8. So, in fact, we are not in competition with anybody.
“We have a matter on the ground, eliminating terrorism and that is what we are concerned about and doing. The utterances will not affect the joint efforts,” he stated.
Omeri maintained that the four-nation coalition force was “rooting Boko Haram out of its strongholds and degrading its combat abilities”.
“Boko Haram is on the way to being eliminated. No foreign extremists can or will change this fact – as long as the Nigerian military continues to receive cooperation and commitment from its citizens and allies,” he said.
While Chadian troops have been claiming that they were the ones flushing out Boko Haram, the Chadian President was quoted to have also said that President Goodluck Jonathan was not prepared to fight the insurgents and that he singlehandedly called for multi-national troops to wage war against the sect.
BobNeli: Judging from the timber and calibre of the APC party. It becomes obvious, the real reason for the get together of these individuals who wish to join forces for their common intrest. Immidiately after the call for a national confrence by president Goodluck Jonathan. Agitations arose against the opinion. And the opposition laboured tooth and nail to scuttle it, but in the long run, the mandate of the people prevailed against the avarice of the few. However, unable to admit defeat on their selfish pursuit, these individuals opposed to the goodwill of the people, and afore-hand, belonging to diferent political parties, agreed to joing forces in other to wrestle power by all means and put an end to the real transformation that awaits the implementation of the recomendations of confrence committee. And in a bid to deceive the people, they decided to put up a smoke screen of CHANGE, which is indeed, the opposite of their belief, to throw suspecting minds off the scent and hope to establish their actual manifesto after grabbing power. All we clamouring for APC and her pregnant change mantra. Have we asked ourselves, what is their position on the confab resolutions which is the real change or transformation we crave. We all know that the 1999 constitution, as a result of the disposition of our leadership mind as at the time it was drafted, offered a lot of loop-holes for our greedy politicians to siphone our economy. These loop-holes which made it impregnable for the powers that be to fight corruption in this country is one of the things that constrained our rational president to call for this get together opinion, so as to put the facts straight. But a group of these avarice individuals who are not ready to give up on their greed, are here fighting to make sure that the conferences' resolutions are never implemented. So that they will continue to hold Nigeria hostage with their deceit of change that they actually oppose.
APC is like the Islamic brotherhood of Egypt. They only remember the other religions when they want to use them to a selfish end, such as getting their votes. Such parties formed to exclude and oppress a segment of the population usually end up in a fiasco.
God bless our troops. God bless Nigeria!
May our troops continue this offensive until every evil factory is recovered from Boko Haram and every piece of Nigeria is cleared of these demons.
ak47mann: Anambra will soon emerge as a leading rice export in west African region as Governor Obiano inspected the $100m investment Coscharis Agro Farm at Anaku in Ayamelum L g area. The land which is above five thousand heaters of land would be producing the required rice consumption within and out side Nigeria. In his speech, the Governor stated that the production exercise would engage over five thousand youths in profitable employment thereby solving the problem of harship and unemployment. He also promised to create a road leading to the farm to enhance for easy production. Willie is working and Anambrarians are happy.
God bless Obiano for this initiative. Agriculture is the bedrock of development. God himself would have been so disappointed that we have so much arable land and countless streams and rivers for water supply. Yet, our people are hungry and jobless. If this agricultural revolution is sustained, even the so called oil producing states will envy Anambra's wealth and standard of living.
It is a shame that Nigeria "fell" for the western media and Boko haram ego onslaught against Nigeria. Giving Chad all the credit to get Nigeria jealous enough to kick Chad out!
It is like a 5 year old saying I like Daddy better just to get Mommy jealous and do their demand to prove she is "good". The oldest trick of reverse psychology that you'd think a whole country with sensible adults will not fall for.
I just heard Nigeria had asked Chad to halt further advances into Nigeria to decimate Boko Haram.
The sad thing about this decision is that it was engineered by Boko Haram media crew and the same very people who had wished Boko haram would overwhelm Nigeria if they starved Nigeria of weapons.
First they wanted to have the FG to stop Chad by saying "Nigeria should stop depending on rag tag Chad for protection. When that arguement didn't work, they pretended to be concerned that Chad had violated the territorial integrity of Nigeria by fighting Boko Haram on Nigerian soil. When that also didn't work, the started a smear campaign to give Chad all the credit for the victories and down play Nigerian army victories. That seemed to have hurt our ego so much that we have asked Chad to halt their offensive.
It is sad how easily our mentality can be twisted by mere stories on international media groups.
Nigeria must immediately ask Chad to resume hostilities against BH and continue to pursue them until all their territories are completely recovered.

robosky02: Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s younger brother was yesterday attacked by machete-wielding youths in his room at the Igbinedion University, Benin City, the Edo State capital.
Chidi Adi Amaechi was injured in his head and arms. He is being treated at an undisclosed hospital.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) said it is difficult to see the attack on the younger Amaechi and other people with relationship to the party as “mere happenstance”.
It described the attack on the governor’s brother as “freaky”.
In a statement in Lagos yesterday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party added that the killing of nine APC members in two incidents in Rivers on Saturday night raised a very serious concern about the motive of the killings.
It said the fact that all those killed, including five at the D-Line of Port Harcourt and four along the Eastern By-Pass in the Marine Base near the state capital, were members of the APC is a clear indication that the killings may have been politically-motivated.
The statement reads: “It is difficult to see these attacks as a mere happenstance, against the backdrop of the ceaseless attacks on APC members and supporters in the Okrika council area of the state, where the opposition has been the victim of at least three bomb attacks, and the hate messages being purveyed by the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, who hails from Okrika.
‘’We know that because they have no answer to the runaway popularity of our party in the state, they are ready to do anything possible to prevent free, fair and peaceful elections there on March 28th and April 11th. By targeting opposition members and supporters, as well as their families, the anarchists will be hoping to trigger chaos and truncate the elections in the state. This is their plan, hence we are calling on the security agencies to act fast to fish out the killers in Rivers before they decimate the ranks of the opposition and scuttle the elections.’’
It said if the mindless killings in Rivers are placed in the context of the accusation by former President Olusegun Obasanjo that the Jonathan Administration was training snipers secretly while 1,000 Nigerians have been placed on a watch-list, it would be logical to conclude that the increasingly-fascist Jonathan Administration may have finally unleashed the snipers on the opposition.
APC urged Nigerians and the civil society to keep a tab on the killings of opposition members and supporters in the run-up to the forthcoming polls, with a view to exerting pressure on those whose duty it is to bring the killers to justice.
The party said President Goodluck Jonathan bears the ultimate responsibility for the cold-blooded murder of the APC members and supporters, especially because of his constitutional role of ensuring the security and welfare of the citizens, as well as his direct involvement – and that of his wife – in the political crisis in Rivers
ocelot2006: Wow!! They captured 2 towns in less than 2 weeks?! Wow!! Far "better" than the Nigerian Army that captured 16+ towns within same period . And why won't they casualty figure be much less when they just joined the fight 2 weeks ago compared to the Nigerian military that has born the brunt of most, if not all, of the major attacks for years? And please do tell how "strategic" Gamboru Ngala and Dikwa is (other than them being border towns). The same Chadians that left their rear exposed at Fotokol? And glad to see their airforce is working. But you do know that it was the Nigerian Airforce that flew the combat sorties during the offensive in Gamboru, right? No? Of course you don't, but still spew trash here even though all your posts reeks of stark ignorance.
Ur attempt to brew some type of jealousy or animosity between Chad and Nigerian forces is mischievous to say the least.
Gamboru, Bama or Gwoza are ALL bonafide Nigerian territory. It is our duty to clear all these areas of terrorists. Now, all we have heard in the last couple of years are moles in our army granting interview to foreign press such as Aljazeera to say Boko haram was better equipped than our soldiers or that our Generals leaked sensitive info which was used by Boko haram to ambush our troops. At the same time, Boko haram itself confessed their biggest armory came from Nigerian army weapons abandoned intact for them to capture. These had created a lot of loss of confidence in our troops until Chadians decided to fight Boko Haram. In spite of Chad's much smaller and less equipped troops they had instilled the fear of Allah into the heart of Boko haram. It makes you wonder why Chad could keep Boko haram on the run in a few weeks that NA with all her armoured divisions couldn't achieve. The big question is WHY??
spyder880: You are right, but I think its because of the large number of taxis and buses. Mini buses and longer coal city shuttle. The good roads makes transportation easier here.
Absolutely, Those big innoson buses solve a lot of transportation problems. All the same, Keke Napep is better than Okada motorcycles being used for taxi.
ocelot2006: No one is going to fight our battles for us. Let the Chadians stick to their own part of the boundary. We'll take it from here.
Boko haram fifle, for 6 years you used moles in our army to inform you what NA was planning. Now, no mole in Chad military to give you classified info, or dash you arms, so you want Chad out? SORRY! No matter how you twist this one, Chad must continue their offensive until Boko haram surrender and Shekau is captured- DEAD or ALIVE.
The military should not do their usual of going on break for the next few months to allow Boko Haram regroup and re-arm. Continue this operation until Shekau is killed or captured.
Schematics: Firstly you are not from Anambra and you do not know our state more than some of us that are residents. You cannot love Anambra more than you love your state.
It is on record that Anambra has the best road network not only the urban centers but road traversing the rural areas. I don't care whatever that you feel because at the end of the day it will be your words against mine and it will still not remove the fact that Anambra has the best road network east of the niger. No matter how much you spread lies it will not diminish that fact and it can never stand! Never!
I have listed several roads here and even posted pictures to back them up. There are such roads in Anambra that are so wide that it remains just a demarcation for it to be called a dual carriageway in your definition. I do not want to start drawing comparisons between states here but you have brought other states here in your resolve to start what you cannot finish. This is Anambra thread and if you wish to talk about other states you better go to their thread and start doing that. We are not interested in whatever you believe.
Like as I said it will only be your words against mine, while I say that we have more dualized roads and you are on the other hand saying that they have more dualized roads, it will remain that way because I will never agree with you neither will you agree with me and it goes on and on.
I posted a particular road in Onitsha Harbour, that road can be split into six lanes if it were to be demarcated to form a dualized roads. We are not talking of other similar roads like that in other parts of the state. Are you aware of the dual carriagesways inside the Harbour? No, you don't because you are not from Anambra and also you are not resident. Harbour estates alone has at least two dual carriageways, of which I will bring the picture shortly. Anambra is not a one-city-state like the ones you mentioned. There are dual carriageways even in some rural areas as I even posted their pictures up here.
You can say whatever you want to say but it does not change what is the on ground. I posted this particular road below as an example for you to see. This road was done so wide but because it was not demarcated with concrete it is not a dualized road in your definition. Like as I said you are not from Anambra neither are you a resident so you are not expected to know what you do not know. Leave us alone we have more wide/dualized roads and you are saying we do not have..it is simply your words against ours. Simple!
[s][/s]
Nkrika mmadu, Look at you shamelessly showing me Nkpor flyover as dual carriage road, why not show me Upper Iweka flyover too? You can deceive others but not me. If anyone knows every nook and cranny of Anambra, it is me. You don't live in Anambra, but will continue to recycle old Internet pictures to deceive those as gullible as you. You are right that i will not exchange words with you because a normal person cannot hold a conversation with a mad man like you and expect people to know the difference.
Did I hear you say leave this thread? Taa gbafuo! You are truly a mad eediot to even open your mouth and call this thread your own!. After you had tried so much to derail this thread several times , Chimaadeoye PM me and several others to keep posting objectively to make sure your activities and some people to junk this thread was defeated. Ask that great forumite if this information is accurate. If there is anyone I know is a saboteur to Anambra cause, it is YOU. Just like one Ikwerre guy hijacked the IMO thread pretending to be from IMO state. So, don't ever think you are fooling anyone but yourself by your pretenses here.
The Boko haram moles in NA must be prevented from interfering or halting the Chadian momentum against the murderous Boko haram. The insurgents must surrender or destroyed by Chad and part of our army still committed to Nigeria.
I can smell moles in Nigerian army trying to hide under "territorial integrity" to offer the Boko Haram insurgents areas to hide and regroup inside Nigeria by urging the government to deny Chad the approval to pursue Boko Haram.
We must watch out for the Boko Haram media crew that will do everything to escape the hot pursuit of the Chadian military.
