Politics › Re: Anambra light of the nation, eastern economy power house. by cjrane: 12:09pm On Apr 29, 2015 |
Schematics: I don't think it is about Umuchu but Anambra south. The entire Anambra south does not have an ordinary 2 star hotel.
All the big hotels are located in Anambra Central where you have bulk of the hotels including the 5 star Agulu Resort and Anambra North where you have another 5 star Onitsha Resort (Raddison Blu).
I think its a good thing to have at least a 4 star hotel like this in Anambra south which has none up till now except this new one.
Remember Anambra south has the highest number of super rich individuals in Anambra State and by extension SE. They need some thing world class as this to entertain their numerous visitors and host their occasions. Actually, the dude may always have business partners coming to see him and there is no decent hotel to put them into. Again, part of the disasterous mentality of Nigeria of concentrating every thing in Lagos or Abuja is rubbing off on us. He may not make more money by siting his hotel at Umuchu than Onitsha. But it might be solving an important logistic problem for him. Besides, didn't Peter Obi site a hotel in Agulu? I don't believe everything should be in Onitsha, Nnewi or Awka. We must and should encourage every town to develop. My support for Obiano to develop the vast areas of Anambra north is purely out of a need to spread development evenly |

If they like, they can use the entire national resources to fund fuel importation now that oil price is barely $60 dollars. It is only in Nigeria that fuel price stays high even when world oil price crashes. |

I will say it again. Buhari will be the last hope for a peaceful Nigeria. Most of the people around him are tribal bigots. If Buhari does not use his head to bring peace and reconciliation to Nigeria, he will end up repeating the same tragic mistakes of the 1960s. But now, under a new world order |

maxddude: Unlike their previous method of releasing videos, they choose to release pictures without the presence of their leader, Shekau..This is fueling reports that, their end is imminent.
They have changed their name and now refer to themselves as Wilayat al Sudan al Gharbi, which is commonly translated into English as the 'West African Province' of the Islamic State.
The release comes as the Nigerian military claims the insurgents have run out of ammunition and now use bow and arrows. Their stronghold, Sambisa forest was also invaded.
However, according to report by Reuters, the military were forced to retreat after 3 vigilante members were killed by landmines. "The soldiers have retreated to Bama because of mines. They had been on the road but that made them vulnerable, so they moved to the bush but there are mines planted there (too)," one soldier, who did not want to be named, revealed.
"Three of our boys were killed by a landmine as we progressed into Sambisa. We've suspended going farther," Muhammad Mungonu, a member of a pro-government vigilante, told Reuters.
See More Group Photos - http://www.maxnaija.com/2015/04/breaking-boko-haram-release-dreadful.html Okay, we need mines sweepers at Sambisa before these ruthless Boko haram regroup. Nothing should stop us from invading Sambisa and burying Shekau. |

Let Buhari know this fact, all Countries around the world are familiar with US antics and they were being rejected everywhere they go. All that matters to them is their personal interest and means to check the interest of other super powers i.e China and Russia. Their sudden romans with Nigeria is devilish and questionable. Your advise is too advanced for Buhari's brain |

tochukwuifeduba: The Emergence of Buhari as the President Elect of Nigeria constitutes a serious setback to Nigeria fragile Democracy and is simply a return to the dark days of Military rule.
Are there no more young and vibrant Nigerian Democrats to lead our Nation? Out of an estimated population of over 170 million? ALWAYS A DICTATOR REMAINS A DICTATOR
Buhari as an Ex Military dictator with a bloody record of coup and trucation of Democracy. He have no business aspiring for the highest office in Nigeria. He have no buisness being the president of Nigeria.
BUHARI HAVE A TASK TO PROVE TO NIGERIANS THAT A LEOPARD CAN INDEED CHANGE HIS SKIN , HE HAVE A TASK TO PROVE THAT ONCE A SOLDIER CAN INDEED BE BORN AGAIN INTO A DEMOCRAT.
Let me also remind the President elect of Nigeria that the people voted massively for him not because they believe in him but because they want change having got feed up with the misrule of the PDP since 1999-date and their is limited option to chose its either BUHARI or JONATHAN ..
He must rule Nigeria under the principles of democratic freedom and respect of human dignity. Any attempt to take us back into civilain dictatorship will be resisted . We fought for our Democracy and we must protect it with our blood. God Bless Nigeria!!!! We have no other home!!

olivegirl: It is obvious that there is change, but this government that is coming is it for us or against us. Every country heats up during politics but afterward, they come together and move on. But am much overwhelmed the way losers accepts their faith and move on. Before the postponement of the election, john kerry came to this country and drop a silly comment and no one challenged him. He actually talked about denying visa to offenders. Who really offended. Was there physical combat? Was there any face to face talk?. Why must nigerians always be little in the eyes of the americans?. Americans are the one who started this xenop..., they hated us so much yet they want our oil. They have predicted our downfall yet we are moving on. Their latest prediction is incoming government will not defend citizens. Please if they talking from agreement, it is silly thing. I wonder why they can't sit at home and face their problem. Millons of people in new york are hungry yet they prefer to jam talk over us. Nigerians should come together and reason why usa don't want us to move forward or change for good. Is it wrong to manufacture car by yourself? Must one be depending on america? Why must we play naïve? I hate this intimidations on a man. If you look deeply in sa, they must play the piper. Barely few hours they talked about new govt not defending us. Pls this new change let it not be on selling nigeria citizens. As for people they treatened with visa bound, plls there are more than 150 other countries to visit. John kerry own nigeria apology. We nigeria must learn how to be smart enough, please don't accept polite insult whites are given us. Zimbabwe president has made lots of silly comment but they didn't do anything because there is no bilateral trade. They only fight where they want to gain. We need them but we don't need their insult and open discredit to our beloved country. What we do here is as a result of enviroment, wheather, parental training. We don't need their advice. Germans act like german, nigeria is very hot we talk and shout. The more americans settle here the danger this country. I prefer any other friend than them. You understand that it is too late already to cry? The oyibos already have us. |

pdppower: South Africa closes Nigerian consulate 2015-04-21 20:31 Johannesburg - South Africa has closed its consulate in Lagos, following anti-xenophobia protests, Netwerk24 reported. Protests were held outside the consulate and at the South African High Commission in Abuja. South African consul general in Nigeria, Sam Monaisa, said in an e-mail to the South African business forum that the closure would remain in force until Thursday. The situation in Durban had calmed down, but he was concerned about Nigerians that were being repatriated, he wrote. Many Nigerians were using social media to blow an already tense situation in South Africa out of proportion and stoking emotions. This was why many maintained that their compatriots were being killed in South Africa daily, he said. He warned the forum's members to stay alert and not move around unnecessarily. South African businesses and citizens became targets of threats and acts of retaliation whenever xenophobic attacks occurred in South Africa, he cautioned. Meanwhile, in Zimbabwe 15 people who were part of a first group of Zimbabweans returning home in the wake of xenophobic attacks in Durban have "disappeared" in Musina, state media reported Tuesday. The official Herald said in an online update: "Fifteen victims disappeared in Musina where they reportedly claimed feeling safe because there were no xenophobic attacks reported." There were no further details. Zimbabwe is repatriating up to 2 000 of its citizens who have asked to be evacuated in the wake of the attacks. The first six buses carrying 407 Zimbabweans left Durban on Sunday. - News 24 They should withdraw their ambassador and companies milking us. |

Billyonaire: I do not think its possible for one to trek 12 hours a day for 19 days and still look so healthy like that guy, even if he sleeps in a well-ventilated hotel room every night. We must learn to understand that this is not about APC-PDP issue, after all, anyone who pledged to trek from Lagos to Abuja if Buhari wins actually never believed he could win, and Buhari never won, he was rigged in by Jega PVC distribution scam, we know this. But this is NOT political issue, the question here is; Did that boy take a bike, bus, taxi or even keke-napep in any part of his journey ? The answer is possibly YES. But we must also appreciate the fact that he has trekked several kilometers. For that reason, I envy him, cos I cant walk 10 kilometers without drinking a drum of water. The man erred when he entered cars at various stages of the trek. He souls have completed all on foot and may be reach Abuja around May 29th. |
