horsepower101:Aba used to be the undisputed powerhouse of Eastern Nigeria until Orji Uzor Kalu with his mother and Theodore Orji completely ruined the state in the lase 16 years. |
horsepower101:You took it out of my mouth! I wanted to visit Aba the next time i'm in PH to see things for myself and take pictures for this forum |
ckenneths:"Aba ma Aba" .... life! Oga, Spyder i di too much o! How you take pick up that slang? ![]() |
ckenneths:That is Christ the King Church CKC, Aba on PH road |
ckenneths:Spyder, don't tell me Aba has flowers planted in the median of the road! Mon deo! Aba is truly coming up men! Somebody is finally taking good care of this city! |
ckenneths:Aba is gradually getting back to it's feet. The Governor should continue using concrete roads and big gutters to solve Aba's perennial flooding and quick breakdown of urban roads. Very soon, we shall see the re-emergence of Aba as the economic powerhouse of the region that it used to be. |
ignatiusez:I knew it was a silly individual that asked that question. Bu had i known it was an individual with extreme hatred and wickedness like you, i would not have bothered to respond and if i did, i would not have been as civil as i was. Now get lost cockroach! You should give me examples with Osogbo airport not Dutse! Abi you forgot there has been an Hairport under construction in Osogbo for 8 years? SMH |
ignatiusez:If you don't like his pictures, just go there and take your own. Better still, if i were you i will show us the picture of Osun state and the massive development going on there. ![]() SHM |
Hopefully, nobody in our crazed society of cutting down trees will cut down any of these palm trees we managed to plant in the 1960s. If only we could plant more like those along Atani - Ossamari axis where we have water logged land that will be great for these types of palm plantations.

omadeltason:Oga, The International airport is a $2 billion dollars PPP project. The total Anambra budget every year is about $400 million. So you'd prefer using the money for salaries and other infrastructural development to go int cargo airport? Yet, you have no cargo to import or export, but that is your main concern. We need to create industrial estates powered by gas supplies to help more industries come into the state. We need to develop cattle ranches and to become self sufficient in beef and other animal protein. We need to build a light rail system to connect Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi and Ekwulobia to help the state achieve quick and cheap transportation of people, goods and services from one part of the state to another. Yet, your major concern is completion of cargo airport just started less than 2 years ago and it's a PPP? Now you see why we smell mischief in some questions? |
BankeSmalls:GBAM! I have always said so. Look at the so called "Chino" and so called "abagworo" style of writing and it the same! Yet, they are purportedly mortal enemies. Truth is that it is the same person ! He is so bitter about "Ibo" progress and he is using what he thinks are "Fault lines" in Igbo unity to pretend he is doing e-war to defend Anambra against Imo and vice versa. When you see how some Anambra guys occasionally lash out against him, you will know they are not comfortable at all with some of his statements about their state. |
Even if Boko Haram kills the entire Nigerian army, the army will still deny it. However, denying what happened does not change the fact that 30 gallant soldiers have been sent to their cold graves by the Nigerian army grossly incompetent leaders |
Xander85:A lot of people who should be paying taxes are not. Part of this problem was from the total collapse of good governance in Anambra state a few years ago. Today, we have good governance, so people should begin paying their taxes to support government. Other SE states know how to haggle businesses to pay their taxes and block leakages of the money into private pockets of the tax collecting officials. They have perfected the use of banks to collect taxes. Enugu and Ebony are doing wonderful work in this respect. They have perfected the art of collecting taxes and even automated everything in a registry Anambra has gradually been implementing this system of POS to collect taxes which will help it collect taxes and block massive leakages into the pockets of the tax collecting officials. Anambra government should also open up more areas around Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi to help those willing to come into the state to find land very quickly. For instance, Awada area of Onitsha was a bush cleared to receive Pope John Paul II in 1982. After his visit, since the area had been cleared, it was easy to convert into a housing layout. The same thing is happening now at the old Oba site of Anambra airport. You need to go there and see the types of buildings going on there despite the threat of erosion in the area. Anambra state government needs to put access roads into "Bush" areas around Awka, Nkwelle Ezunake- Umueri-Aguleri, Oba etc to open up new areas for planned expansion of the state into a megapolis. Lack of government input in opening these places usually result in haphazard building arrangements later when people just sell land any type of way and build as they like in these areas. One of the greatest things about Gov. Ugwuanyi is that he plans every estate before the building of structures happen. This is why Enugu will remain the best planned and most habitable SE state for a long time. Planning is the KEY to making a place good enough for foreign investors to live. I love how Obiano uses the housing estates approach, it also helps to make sure planning is incorporated into these estates . We should move away from the years of building unplanned cities that look like slums with good buildings. Let us put our good buildings in well planned estates |
TundeBricklayer:Oga, i'm not from the SE, yet i know the state with the biggest GDP in the region. Just like i'm not from the SW, but i know Oyo state GDP isn't bigger than Lagos. Everybody knows Anambra is the biggest GDP in the SE. Even non-Igbos who desperately hate Igboland know that much. In NL, people do all sorts of argument to tease you and laugh at you trying to prove the facts to them. So you do not need to waste your time arguing with people who would argue that Zamfara economy is bigger than Lagos. They are laughing so hard that they got you to waste your time and effort searching to prove to them what they already know. |
chiefolododo:So sad, but its good for Nigeria. Corruption will kill Nigeria because Nigerians have chosen to ignore corruption depending on who committed it. |
He said the federal government would use institutions to create employment for young people in the south east region. We know it will still be hard for the intentionally blind people to see, but we will once more say.... Good job Federal Government and Doctor Maduka....one of the few good men we have around and God bless our PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI
Useless Buhari Propagandists! Everything from the land, buildings etc will be built by Dr Maduka. He just required FG approval to build it! Now it is a Buhari project? In fact, Buhari would have still refused to approve this, had it not been Osinbajo acting in the period the request was made. Let Buhari point to just ONE project he did in the entire Southeast. Yeye dey smell. |
Hofbrauhaus:APC is mindlessly looting Nigeria and we are all watching it happen and doing nothing about those mortgaging our lives to poverty through stealing our commonwealth. |
Truth be said, i am just impressed with Kenya! I may argue otherwise because i'm Nigerian. But, Kenya may indeed surpass Nigeria is a few years to come. |
BeijinDossier:Nobody determines who you are, unless you surrender all your will power as a human being to them. Then you have become a zombie that they toy with whenever they want to do e-war. Practice how to ignore things and say to yourself, " I will not waste my data responding to that pig " ![]() |
BeijinDossier:As Igbos say, AKU BU ILO! USA is the richest country on earth, has it occured to you that perhaps that is why they have so many enemies and detractors more than a poor country like Nigeria? Must you respond to every anti-Anambra post? Let Omambala and others respectfully respond sometimes, and just chill out with your style of posting gutter images to ruin the thread for everybody. I know you love e-wars. That is what gets the best of you on the internet and not contributing ideas. But, please post it in Abia state or Anambra state threads and just do it for us as a favor here. We need to showcase this thread for the entire Igboland. Many many thanks to Spyder880 posting amazing pictures of Ebonyi and Anioma so we do not forget the far fringes of our land. |
BeijinDossier:Of course i remember him very well. But adiro ibuo aghi ala. You cannot be mad with a mad person just to measure up with them. Show some restraint bro. Biko |
BeijinDossier:Chino, I understand these guys b2mario et. al are touts. What i struggle to understand is YOU. So posting disgusting pictures of Abia state in a thread we are promoting to showcase the new, prosperous and modern Igboland is a way to get back at Abia state people? Why don't you post it in Abia thread and slug it out with them there? I also struggle to understand the mindset of "If i can post more foul pictures of Abia or Anambra, "I have won". So what did you win? Anambra people here are disgusted by your conduct, and lash out too many times that you do not speak for them. It's not as if we all have never been to these places to know the facts. There is a true disconnect between adults here trying hard to promote Igboland and the children who think everything is the usual joking arena to post all sorts of foul pictures. Perhaps you don't know it, but some people send the links to these threads to important investors to see how Igboland they are being asked to invest looks. This is a serious thread if you can apply a little restraint and avoid those thugs, we will be grateful. A business colleague of mine in USA sent me a youtube video of Enugu last year and asked me to investigate if this city really existed as he would like to visit and invest, i said yes. So you can see that your posts are reaching far beyond your room. So show some sense of yourself and your people. Africans are always known for destroying everything they touch and using every tool negatively. Just as they used voodoo meant to fight injustice in the society to become a tool for tying people's progress and killing people. Let us be the generation of Africans that built Africa instead of destroying it. Let us use internet for good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2Q1sclUvoM&t=218s |
raker300:So glad to see you back again Sir! Don't mind those Mods, we shall overcome all their biases. Biko, if you are in Onitsha, get us updated pictures of where we are at upgrading General hospital Onitsha into a Specialist Hospital. This upgrade was abandoned and too much emphasis placed on the teaching hospital in Awka. However, the Specialist Hospital, Onitsha will save more lives when it's finally fully upgraded into a center of excellence as Obiano promised to do.

Xander85:Femi Fani Kayode has demonstrated too many times that he is a friend of Ndigbo. Besides, i am the first to knock Afonjas hard, yet i realize not every Afonja is evil or bad. Just as not every Igbo is evil or bad. Biko, while we fight for political emancipation, we should not totally block our minds to anyone that isn't Igbo. That will be crossing over to the extreme side of hate where you hate EVERYONE from one ethnic group, and you will then be in the same category of wicked bigots as Hitler and Buhari. |
ifechez:It had nothing to do with Obiano. Ogun state has a lot of captive power because Obasanjo made sure the natioanl gas infrastructure provided a lot of gas in Ogun state industrial areas which industrialists find very attractive. That is why the Imo state government should liaise with shell to supply gas to an industrial estate that can be created outside Owerri. Things like that will attract big time industrialists like SABmiller to those states. Also, the Nestoil gas pipeline should be encouraged by Anambra state government to feed gas to industrial centers in Oba, Onitsha, Nnewi and Awka. Making sure you have cheap ways to generate power through gas are the building blocks for indutrialization. |
fahren:Although Atiku Abubakar is my candidate, Kwankwaso is likely to win the PDP ticket and the elecction KWANKWASO IS LIKELY THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA Please choose your running mate well to get the maximum votes in the south CONGRATS ALHAJI KWANKWASO! - President elect! |
ABUBAKAR ATIKU! |
Daewang:You could be right, but it must be well controlled. I would prefer not to have any at all, than have an undisciplined lawless group that harass and extort the population and nobody can control them. I remember when Bakassi boys tackled armed robbery, initially they were disciplined, then they started taking bribes to detain every wealthy man in Igboland on the silly allegation of suspected to be into ritual money. These are the sorts of things you must think very very critically before you give your resources to arm anybody. They may become worse than the so called Nigerian troops killing innocent people in the SE now. |
hammer6F:These words should be engraved in GOLD! My greatest concern isn't the challenges we face, it is the lackadaisical attitude of our people and leaders as if nothing is happening in Nigeria. Our enemies are plotting more grievous crimes and we are just folding our hands concerned with village squabbles of which state or hamlet is better. Before 2015, everyone knew Igbos could decide to fight again if the conditions in Nigeria became unbearable. Since 2015, there has been this doctrine of "protest peacefully and get shot so the international community will fight for you" I don't know who sold us those fake keys to paradise, but i know international community will not do a thing. The planned Python dance 3 in the SE, when there has been no breakdown of law and order tells you they consider Igbo a conquered race where they can conduct unnecessary military operations and kill innocent people without any consequences whatsoever. The saddest part of what is going on now is that our people are also too reluctant to participate in the political process. If you don't want war, THEN VOTE! You cannot expect nothing to change if you don't atleast register and vote. Many young men i saw in Onitsha recently told me pointblank they didn't care who ruled Nigeria. They just wanted a Referendum! So if Abubakar Shekau like character rules Nigeria and abuses you, you don't care until you wait 10 years for a referendum? If you want a referendum, you still need to put people with your ideas into the Senate to go and argue your case, while you are doing everything you do now. You just cannot preach to people not to register nor participate in the political process. It's the silly suicide your enemies are hoping that you commit while they are registering babies in the north to keep the power to oppress you using the instrument of the state. There is a total lack of leadership with tact and vision. Nnamdi Kanu was partially to blame for having a single strategy of Referendum or Nothing. WITHOUT A PLAN B. Every good General ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN B ! Although i hate the idea of forming a secret army because once you arm anyone, he becomes an outlaw except you have a greater force to compel him to submit and conform to the principles of the struggle. That is the mistake northern politicians made with Boko Haram. However, i am seriously toying with the idea of having a guerrilla / resistance wing of the struggle for survival. |
Butterflyleo:Nigerians will learn to put their welfare before party or ethnicity or they have not suffered enough. |
spyder880:My brothers, let us stick it out and fight it out here. Even if we open another thread, these same people will resurface under funny names and torpedo it again. We have to show that they cannot derail our thread and fruitful discussion even if they post a thousand pictures of Obasanjo dancing. We know they did it in Enugu thread. Check all the 2013-2015 posts. A particular individual even picked too many quarrels trying to accuse Spyder of dominating the forum just because Spyder was posting marvelous updates of Sullivan Chime's transformation. I personally emailed a Mod to plead for him to come and clean the thread. He did some work, then left the thread to degenerate. But we learnt to ignore them and they continued posting trash for about 5 pages and later got tired. Their method is to post a foul topic or article about one Igbo state and then begin to bash people from there, which naturally annoys anyone from that state into responding and the thread is derailed. They have asked me to go and create Delta forum and leave "Igbos" alone because i was a fake Igbo and most of my hometown folks hate Igbo. As painful as some of their comments were, i managed to restrain myself a few times and when i responded in anger, i usually learnt to IGNORE and not follow them to the gutter to inadvertently help them derail the thread. Today, that Enugu thread is still waxing strong and has all our comments in one place for any good government in the state to review some ideas that could help transform the state. Personally, i know Igboland cannot develop as pockets of tiny states unable to provide critical infrastructure to drive a regional economy. It can only develop as a region with key regional efficient rail transport, electricity plants, refineries,, commercial agriculture and industrial complexes in various locations. That is why this thread is more important than state by state threads. We need to stand our ground here and JUST IGNORE those trying to rubbish this thread and force us to abandon it. This thread will help document key ideas from our people (GLOBALLY) to contribute knowledge about how to build a prosperous Igboland. Let us stay strong and continue our mission here. |
