Nigerians better wake up and fight for your survival now or Fulani will do to all tribes in the south what they have done to the Hausa Kingdoms and many northern tribes

Obi1kenobi:
This is a very serious issue. And a very disturbing one. While it has been very funny watching another conflagration erupt over the "no man's land" trolling about Lagos and reading the Yoruba reactions (or overreactions grin), it really does beg questions about this self-destructive, masochistic need for Igbos to attract needless resentment on to themselves. There was Orji Uzor Kalu and his "no man's land" quip some years ago after Fashola deported a few Igbo vagrants to Onitsha which drew an army of similarly loud-mouthed Igbo supporters. There was Obiano's stewpid boast a few days ago about how Anambrarians developed Lagos, which again drew another army of loud-mouthed supporters.

Nigeria's richest man, Dangote, has most of his investments in Lagos and the South West and is planning the biggest investment ever made into Nigeria's economy with a $12billion refinery (with him single-handedly providing a quarter of the equity) in Lagos. Yet, I have yet to see these daily squabbles about who owns Lagos between Hausas and Yorubas. Apart from the fact that this "ownership" adds absolutely nothing to our daily lives whether Lagos is owned by Aworis or Ijebus or Germans or Scandinavians or Chinese people or whoever, it's just a needless provocation. This is why I don't blame Lagos state government officials trying through legislation to preserve the Yoruba character of Lagos by compelling Yoruba teaching in schools and also holding legislative deliberations in Yoruba on some days (they should make it everyday sef). Afterall, Nnamdi Azikiwe who sought to participate in Western Nigerian politics spoke fluent Yoruba.

Sometimes, you have to separate yourself from the herd and ask yourself hard questions. In Chinua Achebe's own words, Nigerians would come to no other common consensus other than their common hatred for the Igbo man. Some Igbos love to claim this is all due to envy, but Yorubas, by any objective opinion the most successful tribe in Nigeria, don't seem to attract this envious hatred as Igbos claim to do. Fulanis, despite the death and destruction they've wrought on many communities all across the country don't even attract the level of resentment Igbos do. If you find yourself the object of resentment from every corner of the country, including Niger Delta groups that should be our natural allies, maybe there is something everyone finds aggravating about the brash, abrasive, uppity, arrogant insolence of Ndigbo.

Humble yourselves. Stop beating your chests all the time about being smarter and richer and better than everyone. Respect your host communities even as you know Igbos are the biggest travelers around the country. Learn to build bridges and alliances and learn diplomacy and tact. This will particular help our attempts to escape the political wilderness we find ourselves in. The obsessive need to rankle everyone serves no purpose.

Now you can call me "afonja". But I've said my peace. smiley
[/s]

trash!

If you are Nigerian Igbo, you would have known first hand the type of unwarranted hatred leveled against Ndigbo.

Nigerians are only interested in how to benefit from Igbos and will deny them any benefit from Nigeria or even acknowledgement for their contribution. So shove your one sided advise and first "advise" Nigerians to accept Igbos as part of this country.
BTW, i know you are an Afonja!
Trying to deny it in your obvious post does not trick anyone one bit.
Politics › Re: FG Demands Explanation From Italy Over Burial Of 26 Girls by Cjrane2: 12:55pm On Nov 21, 2017
exclusiveppGod:
The Federal Government has expressed dismay over Italy’s hasty burial of the 26 Nigerian girls who were found dead on the Mediterranean Sea.

The bodies of the girls were found on a sinking vessel on the Mediterranean about two weeks ago and there were reports that they might have been sexually abused before they were murdered.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, told journalists in Abuja on Monday that the Italian Embassy had earlier indicated to the Director General, National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons that the burial of the girls would take place in Salerno, Italy on November 26, 2017.

But the Italian authorities, she said, went ahead with the burial last Friday, without informing the Nigerian government, adding that the NAPTIP director was currently in Italy to engage with the Italian authorities ahead of the scheduled burial date.

The SSA, who addressed newsmen alongside a NAPTIP representative, Mr. Abdulrahim Shaibu, explained that a protest letter had been sent to the Italian envoy in Nigeria over the matter.

“Why were they (the bodies) hurriedly buried nine days before the date communicated to the DG, NAPTIP by the Italian Embassy without any information to the Nigerian Government? Why the rush to bury the bodies without carrying out a post-mortem to determine the causes of death?” she queried.

Dabiri-Erewa said information indicated that only three of the girls were identified as Nigerians, noting that the identities of the other victims had yet to be ascertained before they were interred.

She noted that another issue of concern was that the victims’ families might have wanted them buried in their countries of origin.

The SSA also condemned the reported sale of Africans in a Libyan slave market as broadcast by the CNN, saying this was unacceptable, despicable and inhuman.

She said, “On the issue of Africans sold by Africans in Libya to Europe, as reported by the CNN in a report titled, ‘People for sale; where lives are auctioned for $400,’ this is totally unacceptable, despicable, and inhuman and should be condemned by anyone who is human and has blood running through their veins.”

The presidential aide appealed to the African Union, the European Union, the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, International Organisation on Migration and the Economic Community for West African States, to intervene in the matter and tackle the issue of slavery happening in Libya.

“The perpetrators of this heinous crime should also be sanctioned,” she added.

See them demanding. As if the care at all where their citizens die or are buried.

Hypocrites!

The ones that are alive and held right now in Libya, you won't send planes to bring them back. But when they reach Europe and start sending money, you use their hard currency to run the corrupt government and pay their families worthless naira.

Finally, all tribes are contributing to the development of Lagos state.
The only sense you made in the long, entirely needless and tribalistic post.

If Enugu were capital of Nigeria, Yorubas will invest and build houses there just like other tribes did in Lagos and now doing in Abuja (Including Yorubas).

Nigerians, please stop hating yourselves! Lagos was built by Nigerian oil wealth and investment from all over Nigeria.

Therefore, no single group can claim they contributed more than others in the Lagos or Abuja project.

Somehow, the truth is that I am shocked that APC got 100,000 votes in Anambra!

I am even more shocked they got it under Buhari and with a less preferred Tony Nwoye!

Imagine if APC convinces a popular candidate like Charles Soludo or some credible people like that to run on their platform. They could truly win!

The performance of APC and the steady decline of PDP is what strategists should begin to concentrate on right now! Our people are secretly accepting the APC and those who know how to act should begin looking for the black goat now that it's daytime because very soon it will be hard to dismiss APC as abooki party.

I have said it now. make PDP do something urgently ooo!
Politics › Re: Anambra Votes 2017 Vs 2013. Official INEC Results by Cjrane2: 3:52pm On Nov 20, 2017
IgwePeace:
#NdiAnambraThankYou#

Anambra votes 2017 vs 2013

Anambra 2017 Result

APGA - 234, 071 (Chief Willie Obiano)
APC - 98, 752 (Tony Nwoye)
PDP - 70, 593 (Oseloka Obaze)
UPP - 7, 746 (Chief Osita Chidoka)

#2013 Result
APGA - 180,178 (Chief Willie Obiano)
PDP - 97,700 (Tony Nwoye)
APC - 95,963 (Chief Chris Ngige)

1. Despite the threat from IPOB to the people of Anambra to sit at home, more people voted in Anambra in this election than in the 2013 election.

2. Despite the massive presence of security forces, which was somewhat misunderstood, more people came out to vote in Anambra in this election than in the 2013 election.

VOTE OF THANKS

President Buhari is to be commended for having restored the Anambra Governor’s security, swiftly.

INEC and the Nigerian Security Forces are to be commended for the independent roles that they played to ensure a free and fair election.

The real heroes of this election were the people of Anambra (Ndi Anambra), who exercised so much patience, came out to vote and went on to protect their vote.

This is historic, whereby votes were not only casted by Ndi Anambra, but fiercely protected through the whole chain by Ndi Anambra who voted, as many voters monitored the results of their votes at collation centers and their Local Government Headquarters, leading to a largely historic credible process.

VOX POPULI ANAMBRA, VOX DEI, the Voice of the People of Anambra, is the Voice of GOD!!!

#NdiAnambraThankYou#
Pretty much the same people that voted for Tony Nwoye in 2013 also all came out to vote for him again.
At least he is able to keep his supporters unlike the PDP.

It is amazing that Tony nwoye got nearly 100,000 votes for APC in Anambra despite the horrible state of federal roads, the dearth of 2nd Niger bridge, non-resuscitation of Enugu coal mines and of course Oga on top's talk about those 5%ers that deserve none of his appointments. I still seriously doubt how APC got that number of votes. What does Nwoye have which ngige didn't?

Yet, you think you will win abi? Lets see if APC can hold on to Imo state in 2019, unless they really do concrete project there to endear the people to themselves. Without rigging and buying voters with money, APC will not get up to 10,000 votes in Anambra.

Then the party agents can take a picture of the result sheet and send to their own situation room where it is tallied. This system will make the usual practice of writing results in Abuja to impose unpopular criminals on the people to become an obsolete method of rigging.American style of exit polls will soon become possible in Nigeria if this method continues.

Despite the fact that all the result from all the polling units shows that Chief Willie Obiano of APGA won convincingly, It further revealed that Tony Nwoye of the APC did not win any ward out of the 326 wards in the state, yet the Independent National Electoral Commission in conjunction with the Nigerian Police has commenced plans to falsify the records using the cover of this night to hurriedly declare Tony Nwoye the winner by morning.
This is the shame we have been reduced to under this present Inec since Buhari and APC mounted the saddle of leadership.
Very sad and regrettable that such can be fathomed at this day and age.

Hello,
I'm a Kenyan lady in my mid twenties, a lawyer by profession.
Nigeria is one African country I've always had in my travel bucket list and I would love to visit in November.
What is the approximate amount I should have to enjoy a one week visit. What is the standard of living over there?
Which hotels would you recommend so I can check online?
Is it better to visit Abuja or Lagos?
Everything about travelling to Nigeria and hotel costs is online.
Although you might end up paying slightly less than advertised prices in dollars.

You can visit Abuja, Lagos, Enugu, Calabar, Port Harcourt or Obudu cattle ranch.

Just get on Kenya airways and fly to Lagos, then check into a hotel. Ask the hotel how they can get you a taxi to take you around town to places like Lekki conservation center.

Then the taxi can come pick you to fly to the other mentioned cities. You land there, ask airport taxi to take you to a great hotel. You can also do your own research from Kenya and book hotel reservation in advance but don't pay until you get to the hotel.

Alternatively, you can use Ethiopian airline from Nairobi and fly into Abuja or Enugu via Addis Ababa.

What are they trying to prevent? They don't want people to know the actual results at the polling stations so they can import their fake results from Abuja at the collation centers? Are the police supposed to perturb citizens expressing their civic rights? What are they doing at the polling stations with guns?

IPOB cannot do it alone. We must work with socio-ethnic groups in Nigeria such as Afenifere, OPC, PANDEF and Middle Belt groups etc.

Nigeria's 1999 constitution did say that to become a PRESIDENT of Nigeria, you MUST have 25% of the votes in 24 STATES. This clause means that if you can prevent elections from holding in 12 or 13 states, you will create a constitutional problem that will make it impossible for anyone to be declared PRESIDENT based on the constitutional provision. To achieve No election in 12 or 13 states out of 17 states in southern Nigeria will require concerted collaboration between Afenifere, Ohaneze and other socio-political groups.

Again, we must forget the events of the past and work with other Nigerians to achieve this lofty goals. What happened between Ojukwu and Awolowo as painful as they were must be set aside for the greater good of ensuring southern unity with the middle belt peoples. Insulting them or focusing on what divided us instead of what unites us as oppressed peoples in Nigeria will be another fatal mistake.

I think it is a learning political process for our people. learning not to repeat mistakes of great leaders in history is an art & science

You have to carry the people along and listen when they beg you to reconsider. I will say why Nnamdi Kanu got a lot of followers was because he initially listened to concerns of the people to embark on a totally peaceful struggle.

Then he said about the Anambra electoral boycott and a lot of people pleaded with him that a state gubernatorial boycott was meaningless and instead to target a Presidential electoral boycott. But he quickly dismissed their concern and thereby introduced division into the struggle.

History has continued to warn popular leaders to ALWAYS dialogue with the people they lead so as not to become oppressors themselves.
