They should leave the boy to dupe APC.

During elections, i would like to see the shock on APC's face when they find out that Igbos know Dim Ojukwu had already disowned that wayward boy.

Read Ojukwu's will and you will see he left nothing for that boy except the house Ikemba built in nnewi which the boy occupy. Think of a man of that age not having his own house!

Lagos State = 3,345km²

Edited: to play fair I have moved Oyo State here, as she no be thier mate and to present equal representation
Oyo State is 28,454km²
Kabiyesi,
Stop publishing half truths to deflect legitimate questions op asked.

We know the landmass of Nigerian states and we know the 5 southeastern states (29,525km²) are bigger than Oyo state.

We also know that Niger State is bigger than the Western Region.
If you added Lagos to Western Region, yet it's only very slightly bigger than Niger State.
Mind you, half of Lagos is water. If put only actual land mass of Lagos, Niger State is still bigger!

Now Face the facts and stop playing childish games!

Look at the man's crooked hungry face.

Who told him Atiku is running to favor Igbos?

Atiku is running because we must institute good governance and accountability in Nigeria. The present quasi military rule, where corrupt people are reinstated and kept in office because they are friends or relations of the President must be done away with.

Nigeria must return to rule of law and respect for human rights.

i agree completely. I don't see why SE should be comparing with Ogbomosho and then chest beating that it achieved. it makes the Governors soooooooooo lazy when the bar is so low. Malaysia and Singapore looked very much like SE towns in the 1960s. Today, they are completely first world cities and we are still comparing with stone age cities in Nigeria instead of looking at what other decent human beings had done elsewhere.

Apart from Lagos, there is NO yoruba city in the SW that can compare with SE cities. If you doubt me, use google earth and see the truth for yourself.

They like to mock Aba for two streets that are always flooded and they keep posting the same pictures. Yet Aba that they mock is still 100 times more modern and habitable than Ibadan. Mind you, Ibadan has been a regional capital like Enugu and kaduna and should be competing with those cities. Yet, Ibadan isn't better than Aba which has never been a capital city for one day.

Aba roads have greatly improved recently and the water logged streets now have adequate drainage gutters to channel water away. In spite of those challenges, you still cannot compare Aba and Ibadan.

Politics › Re: Southeast Youths For Atiku 2019 by Cjrane2: 8:24pm On Nov 28, 2017
I wish the PDP will speed up their primaries so that the real work of mobilizing their base can start quickly.
There is serious voter apathy in the SE primarily because people don't think the government cares about them and specifically because those who supported GEJ could not point to one solid infrastructure they gained from GEJ. Now they failed to support GEJ massively, but the little that voted still incurred the venom of Buhari who lashed out on why they should vote for anyone at all if not himself.

A lot of work needs to be done in SE to get people to believe in the political process and alternative choices where good candidates such as Atiku exist. It will take a lot of time to do this and PDP must start now. The time now is to begin grassroot sensitization and encourage people to participate in the electoral process must start or they will not get a good number of registered voters out.

More importantly is that INEC has shipped all the faulty finger readers to the SE and SS so that they will fail to work and disenfranchise the people from voting their candidates. This is the time to discuss that issue of 80% of the finger reading machines shipped in SE and SS failing, while a region like the north has almost zero card reader failure. What is truly going on in Nigeria?

That is if our people patronize the airport as they have snubbed enugu airport
Funny enough many people in SE and Igbos in diaspora are still unaware that international travels take place originating from Enugu or ending in Enugu. Many SE based business people still take the risk of carrying money to Lagos when flying to China instead of using the nearer Enugu international airport.

Our diaspora Igbos are even more hilarious. I have seen too many people using Ethiopian airline from Europe or America fly to Abuja or Lagos. Then board overnight bus with their families to travel to Enugu or somewhere in the SE. grin grin grin imagine the risk they expose those children to with very long road travels. Apart from robbery and bad roads; most of them experience untold abuse when their vehicles break down in the middle of nowhere. Then they make vlogs complaining about rough roads, police harrassment at checkpoints and other funny troubles they brought on themselves for lack of knowledge. grin

Some of our people are so outdated with developments in Nigeria that its not even funny.
Our people have a very very funny mentality that Lagos makes them "civilized" or more "respectable" than anywhere in the SE. even if they live in a rat hole in Lagos grin

I say this as someone who is living in Lagos and see what our people go through there. The smart ones usually find a way to build a decent business for themselves in the SE than running around in Lagos living like a rat being chased around. i have seen a few smart girls set up hair dressing and braiding saloons in Obosi and Aba, than remain jobless and working as maid servants in Mama-put in Lagos. On the other hand, I have seen the follish ones living in Makoko slums in Lagos claiming to be somewhat "better off" than people living in GRA or independence layout enugu!!! On what grounds bikonu?

Even those Ebonyi youths selling pure water in Lagos traffic see themselves as "better' than those with decent market shops and earning a decent living as a merchant in Abakaliki.

In the same vein, i can see our people thinking that arriving or leaving the country through Lagos or Abuja somehow makes them "higher or superior" than arriving or leaving in Enugu. The illiterate mentality is real and just needs to be addressed.

Politics › Re: Presidency: South East Begin Campaigns For PMB by Cjrane2: 3:28am On Nov 27, 2017
Ebullience:
By Andrew Essien, Abuja

The Igbo community has begun campaigns for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari ahead of 2019, just as it advised a former governor of Abia state, Orji Uzor Kalu to desist from speaking in a manner that suggests that President Buhari may not be interested in running for the presidency.

Speaking on Sunday at the inauguration of the Abuja chapter of the pro-Buhari group, Ndigbo for Buhari 2019, leader of the group, and an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Prince Paul Ikonne urged the Igbo to work with the mindset that the president is standing for a re-election and must be supported.

Ikonne also took exception to Kalu’s comment that President Buhari is not interested in a second term automatic ticket, asking the former governor to keep quiet as “he is not the spokesperson to the president.”

He said : “As a leader of APC in Abia State and a staunch supporter of Mr. President, I feel compelled to advise Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu to desist from acts and utterances capable of discrediting Mr. President and our great party APC. The APC is not PPA and as such, the state chairman of APC in Abia State should give Orji Kalu the APC Constitution to read, because I can see he joined APC with PPA Constitution in his mind”, he said.

“It is unfortunate that Orji Kalu is speaking this way. Just few days back, the same Kalu was calling on the Abia state governor to join APC and get automatic ticket. Today he is now saying that Mr. President is not interested in an automatic ticket; if you are calling on someone who is not a member of APC to come and get an automatic ticket and you are saying a founding father of the party is not interested in automatic ticket, then where is the justification? Is it because my leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has said it that is why Kalu is saying the same thing?

“On the 2nd of June 2017, former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, used his social media account to publish a document titled ‘My Contract with Nigeria’. The document essentially detailed his manifesto as an aspiring presidential candidate of APC. Some weeks back, the streets of Abuja, Abia, Lagos, Imo and others were defaced with 2019 campaign posters of Orji Uzor Kalu which he confirmed seeing ‘on his way to the airport’ and later disclaimed as the handiwork of his phantom political opponents. But few days ago, he enumerated the benefits and how the posters has made him more popular, saying, ‘by their mischief, PDP was only making me popular and eager to produce an Igbo President’. So it is obvious that Kalu, in his usual way and manner, printed and circulated the posters as a way of testing political waters, which is typical of the Kalu that we know.

“Most recently, Orji Kalu made utterances bordering on giving an automatic ticket to Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu if he joins the APC. Kalu had said, ‘the ruling party will give an automatic ticket to the current Governor of the state, Okezie Ikpeazu if he chooses to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party PDP’. For us, this is not only an exhibition of ignorance of party rules, but it is disturbing, distractive and against the party’s Constitution.

“We call on well meaning Abians, the supporters of Mr. President, APC in Abia State and south –east in general to ignore Orji Kalu and his mindset as we continue to support Mr. President for his second term”, said Ikonne.

AAA AND NOI 2019
Atiku & NOI will be good for the economy, but may not be so good for gathering votes.

A solid VeePee from SE or SS (NOT LIKES OF ORJI UZOR KALU) will make more sense vote wise.

There is presently voter apathy and a lack of interest in who becomes President because the zone feels even those it supported failed it. To get people out to vote in the SE, you need a true mobilizer. Unfortunately, Soludo is in APGA.

Sullivan Chime is a great name, but the toxic politics now in Enugu PDP may be a serious problem.

I doubt Peter Obi still has his Mojo in Anambra after he openly failed in the recent Anambra elections and Ezeife may be too old.

Theordore Orji, Sam Egwu, Umahi and Martin Elechi are all no go areas. However Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, the former Minister of health who stopped Ebola spread will be a great name. But i doubt he could mobilize the entire zone.

Dr Peter Odili is a great choice that will be acceptable in both SS and SE.

Donald Duke and Godswill Akpabio will be great choices from the SS. But again, one doubts their ability to mobilize and inspire followers.

Finally, I would personally recommend Senator Ben Murray-Bruce if we hope to get a great country again

I'm so disappointed at the Sultan.

I truly expected Sultan to say what happened in Agatu, Nimbo,Plateau and Numan will not go unpunished.

That would show you share the pain whenever any Nigerian is killed and not only when fulani is killed.

Truth is that unless Nigeria begins to have statesmen that condemn evil no matter who is involved, Nigerians will naturally revenge the killing of their people by the herdsmen and herdsmen can go ahead an borrow more debt by killing more villagers.

Numan will happen again in another place. That is just the type of leaderless and bigoted Nigeria we live in today.

Although i am happy IPOB was made to face reality by the last Anambra elections, i can authoritatively tell you that Biafra is neither dead nor buried. It is merely being re-jigged now that it is obvious that the proponents of complete non-violence have failed. It will show up at a later date as a well resourced struggle.

I believe what will defeat Biafra is total restructuring of Nigeria. Let the Federal Government keep the armed forces, Federal Police and external affairs to assure it that no part of Nigeria hopes to succeed as some fulanis claim. But let the right to exploit resources, and build infrastructure be reverted to the regions as agreed at independence.

Imagine if people in the SE can blame their own government for the state of Enugu-Onitsha expressway or the decrepit state of Enugu international airport? If they vote out the Premier twice, the next one will borrow and do what it takes to provide the infrastructure needed. Which will be for overall development of Nigeria. The same will happen in the north, West or Southern regions.

The issue is that a few people benefiting from the sorry state of Nigeria will tell any lie and stoke any fear just to make sure restructuring in indefinitely delayed. Just as the first Nokia phone people prevailed on Abacha not to allow GSM into Nigeria because the soldiers will use it for foreign help to over throw his regime. AmericanQuarter:
Willie Obiano, re-elected governor of Anambra State, Friday visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Speaking after the meeting, President Buhari said the parley gave him the opportunity to personally congratulate Obiano on his victory at the just concluded governorship election in Anambra State.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Buhari promised to continue working with the reelected governor.

He also promised to ensure that his administration would ensure free and fair elections at all levels.

According to Buhari, “Governor Obiano visited me today, at the State House. It was an opportunity for me to congratulate him in person on his re-election, and wish him a successful second term in office.

“The Federal Government under my watch will continue to work with him for the peace, progress and development of Anambra State.

“Let me also use this opportunity to commend the people of Anambra State, all the Governorship candidates, INEC, security agencies and all other stakeholders, on the peaceful conduct of last Saturday’s election.

“The peaceful conduct and outcome of the election is an important step in the right direction, as we continue our electoral reform efforts. I am determined to give Nigeria free and fair elections, no matter which way the results swing.”

If Buhari gives Nigeria free and fair elections, i will regard him as one of Nigeria's greatest leaders.

But the truth is that to give free and fair elections, you must be prepared to accept the verdict of the people when it does not favour you or your friends.

That is the biggest integrity test in the process. You will respect it if you lose and not just for others.
