Before the war, nobody in Nigeria was known as "Anioma", however, Ukwuani and Agbor were known as 'Ika-Igbos' as far back as 1963 when the Mid-West Region was created.

The people referred to as Anioma today have been called Midwestern -Igbo, Bendel-Igbo and more recently Delta-Igbo. The war never changed that. What never happened in history is the people of the Aboh-Ukwuani-Ika axis ever calling themselves Igbos, ever!

The Igbos are great people but most of us don't see ourselves in them. It's something you may not understand but you just have to respect people's opinion of themselves
