ah!!!!! my guy!!!!!!
my eyes just watered. so happy for you.

again ITA and AOR timehuh
I have a feeling they've improved on their processing time. Something has definitely happened. Even in the hey days of express entry it never used to be like this. I see more people getting faster processing times as this year runs out.

Hahaha. Would have been better if you just dream it before waking up. If they'll do today, it'll usually be towards evening.

Jesu! someone here once mentioned or asked if time between ITA and AOR equals faster processing.
now I'm beginning to suspect.
I don't think it does. The first record holder on this thread before XX01 broke the record had a very long time between ITA and AOR. He even had the fastest time on immittracker for a while.

Change your browser. Or if you are using a phone or tablet, change to a PC or desktop. If your Adobe Reader version is out of date, it can also cause this. Make sure you have 10 or higher.

If you are using the Reader on Mac, switch to Windows. Try it there. If all fails, downgrade your Adobe Reader (still above 10 though).

And not to worry. The issue you have is a Adobe Reader issue and has nothing to do with your application.

Hello all,

Pls i'm very new on this thread. Hubby & I are just starting d whole process.

Does anyone know abt IJMB programme used for DE into University. Does it qualify as two or more certificates plus BSc.

I'm looking at all avenues to improve our marks.

Thanks.
Not very sure about this. But some people have reported that Unilag diploma has not been assessed as additional qualification

You could try to assess it. It shouldn't give any more trouble since it's the same university and you don't have to pay WES extra for the assessment.

@ Datechman , please can you offer advice based on the above? must the experience one claims be based on one NOC?
I think you should read what I posted here about this. Should help you get an idea how the NOCs apply. The ministerial instructions are quite clear about it.

Questions:

1. Do we need to have our POF in place before getting into the pool?

2. How can we make the payment to WES from Nigeria? can our regular debit cards suffice?

I appreciate all your kind suggestions and helpful answers. Thank you!
It's advisable to have your POF as early as you can, though not compulsory. It's just to help you with having your POF for the usual 6 months so you can reflect a comfortable liquid situation. But of course this is not mandatory. In addition, once they issue you ITA, you want to have everything ready.
By the time you are ready to submit your application though, you have to make sure your POF is ready.

I'm not sure about this, but I guess you can use your regular debit card provided you don't exceed the daily limit for your bank. But you sure can use a dollar MasterCard if you have one.

Wish you the best on this journey. Settle in for the long haul, lol.

Hello. Pls does anyone know how much Prime Clinic in port Harcourt charges for medicals for adults and children? Also, can you walk in or do you have to make an appointment?
I contemplated doing medicals with them, but couldn't eventually cos I had to travel.
They charge 30k for one adult and you'd need to book an appointment. But you can also walk in. I was at least offered that option.
I'd recommend you call them to make your inquiries. Pick their number off the CIC website.

Please I have a question. Let's say someone earns around 2 million a month but has been spending it without a lot of savings. Now he decides to save up for about 3 months to make up the funds, will that raise any question regarding the average monthly balance? proving the source of the money (salary plus different businesses won't be an issue) Thanks
In this case attaching paystubs to your application can easily explain the situation.

Yes. But, the plan to get a quick low-paying job will be useful in a case where such person is already aware about the FSW program. NYSC is mandatory for any graduate below 30 years of age when compared to a "low-paying job" that is not certain. Using Fegbe's as a case study, she wasn't aware that she might actually need to do the FSW program when she was serving. Along the line, she heard about EE and the one year work experience was what she had to fall back on.

Well, I agree with the bolded

*Good morning*
wink
You've got a good point. I still don't agree though. The loss of young, vibrant lives is no equal for one year of experience for EE. But I'm hesitant to derail this majestic thread with my elaborate response, lol.

Top of the morning to you too!

Back to NYSC matter, I actually think NYSC is a blessing in disguise. The one year work experience gained during the service year is what will make some people to be qualified for this EE/FSW program. Those people soliciting that it should be scrapped should come and see how the NYSC service year has given some people a life-time blessing.
Even if it's scrapped, most people can always get a quick low-paying job just to garner experience for EE. There are a number of those to go around.

It doesn't remove from the fact that NYSC has more dangers associated with it than good things.

Can you have gaps in employment? YES. Can you apply while unemployed? YES. Can you edit NOC and POF post ITA? YES. Can you use a gift deed? YES. Can you use NYSC? YES pls! Was I determined? YES. Was I the most qualified? NO! The Lord looked upon me in His mercy and love and honoured me. I remain forever grateful.
Outstanding! Thanks for sharing. Wish you the best.

Please guys, still awaiting a response. Thanks. smiley
1. You are required to only submit your recent passport. You don't need to submit old passports or expired travel docs.
In some exceptional cases, CIC will request for ADR where you'll need to now submit scans of your previous passports. If that comes, I guess you could do an affidavit explaining that you lost your previous passport. That shouldn't be an issue. I'm pretty sure you won't be the first to do that.

2. No, it won't pose a problem. If you want to put your mind at rest, you can write an LOE. But this isn't usually a problem. Many people have submitted statements with lump sum deposits later than 6 months and have not had issues with this. As long as your POF exceeds the required amount, you should be fine.

These your worries are not even close to showstoppers smiley

Even at that, you need 8.5 on listening to max out skill transferability.
Yeah true. But you really don't need max of 8.5 if you've got a masters. 8 will do mostly.

Even with spouse ECA+IELTS, except either PA or spouse don school or work for Canada before. That's the only thing I've not considered

The implication of less than 8 in listening is a whole 50 marks loss under skill transferability
The only explanation I see from using the basic things is switching the scores of listening and reading. If you switch those, you see huge implications. Maybe OP gave one for the other.

Kindly shed more light because on how you arrived at your CRS. This may be beneficial to every other person with a less than 8 score in listening. I used the tool with your IELTS as stated and assumed the following:
Age- less than 30
PhD degree
3yrs max work experience
CRS=432 and I later assumed you have sibling in Canada and CRS=447
Lol. I was actually doing the same thing.
Couldn't arrive at the score.

And I'm not so sure OP has a PhD.

Thanks for the prompt response. The thing is I have no clue how to go about it. My ielts just came out this morning. While I doubt some of the score, I am not in the mood to contest or rewrite.

I am currently waiting for Uniport to send a verification to wes, and also waiting for my school in France to send my degree and transcript for MSC. Lots of waiting. At this point, I am confused.

I had calculated 445 for my CRS. I don't know why I am seeing 400.
I am 31, MSc Food and Agribusiness Management. Single. NOC 1122 (Professional occupation in business management consulting). 3yrs experience.

Tensions are high. Trying to concentrate at work now.
The best suggestion I have got for you is to retake the IELTS whilst waiting on your ECA. You sound like you'll ace it on second attempt. You'll just need to do some bit more practice.

Yes, speaking is 9. That's why I am surprised at the writing as well. I am not doubting the Listening. Living a French speaking country has dulled my English, to be honest.
Then by all means, you should write TEF.
