beckycute1: Hello guys,
Wes updated my profile last week to docs received and reviewing...... Now they have updated to awaiting transcript....my transcript was sent over 2 weeks ago and should have been received..... Is it advisable to contact them? You can contact them so you'll understand what's going on. Looks weird to me. |

Untoyou: Hello house,
My CRS is 408 with max scores in IELTs. I am married with 2kids.My husband has issues with his certificate, the School misplaced his 200L results and he’s also not so keen on writing IElts. I chosehubby not accompanying to get the CRS 408. When (if) I get NOI from Ontario, is it possible to edit my profile to spouse accompanying and get him to write IELTs? If he doesn’t score all 7 or 8 in the exam I won’t be able to get over 400 CRS. Is it right to change / edit profile post Ontario nomination? There is only very little chance you'll get ITA with 408. I'd suggest just starting out with your husband while targeting a nomination. I actually feel it's more likely you'll get a nomination first and be on your way to a PPR before you get ITA with 408, if you do. |

TEECANN: Hello @Issyman
Just a lil curious. Does WES carry out assessment of professional certification like ICAN?
I thought it's on their website that professional training is not within their mandate.
Pls can you help me with the purpose of verifying ICAN as against the usual Bsc and Msc that we know.
Thanks buddy. Yes they do, but you need to make sure it's the new syllabus. |

flosk: @cochtrane @ There is a method. I saw it on a whatassp forum try this. 1.log in to you cic account 2.go to check submitted application 3.look at your url or adresss bar in browser 4.you will see the link as.... DocumentTosubmit.do 5.replace only these words with
applicationChecklist.do
The rest of the url will remain the same. 6.press enter. Wow! That looks like a hack. It may work, but I'd be wary about doing that. An easy trace will show the user attempted that. Clever idea though. |

Ronke1114: Hi guys, quick question pls, my IELTS is expiring on the 9th of Jan. So my questions are
1. If we get ITA next week and we submit our application before the 9th are we good to go? I have read several opinions on this, even on Canada visa forum. Pls let me know if someone has been in my shoes and got PPR
2. Would you advice I just book for another date and rewrite? Pls let me know, what you think. As long as you submit before the date it expires (2 years), you should be fine. But you need to make sure it's 2 years. If you wrote on the 9th Jan, for example, two years will be at least a day before 9th Jan 2018. And that's the date of the exam.

Ljay17: The thread is moving quite fast I must admit. I noticed a lot people quoting long posts. This practice contributed greatly to the speed of the thread. I urge us to refrain from doing this. While I agree with you that it's unnecessary to quote long posts, I don't think that actually contributes "greatly to the speed of the thread". Every page on Nairaland must carry 32 posts; that's been programmatically determined from the beginning so that even if anyone quoted an incredibly long post, it doesn't change anything, it's still 32. Even if a post is hidden by the mods that page will still carry 32 posts (including the hidden post). Quoting long posts does nothing to increase the length of the thread. What increases the length of the thread is asking questions for which answers have already been suggested to death or are in Page 0-1. Just thought to put this out there, cos someone said the same thing sometime ago and it's actually not correct assumption. |

Adiahabasi: London VO! I just tire.In the early days, I used to hate Boss13's guts, felt he was overbearing, shoving his opinions down people's throats. Hmm,however, these days, I agree almost 100% wt him even though he goes overboard once in a while. The wait is no joke! 5months post AOR and LVO is still saying file awaiting review! They haven't even touched it at all since it was transfered to them. One is just in limbo. And to add salt to the existing injury you keep seeing applications that took roughly 16-22 days from AOR to PPR! Anyways in God we trust, would soon sing my victory song. I just dey console myself say its 6months average processing time they told us ab initio. Fingers crossed and calmly waiting. Phew! Of course, it will come. Unfortunately it's taking too long, but that in itself should be a good sign. If they were looking unfavourably on your application, the decision would have come sooner than now. So, it's a positive sign. |

Are you saying it is possible to claim both 1+2 years from different noc to get 3 years.?
Please explain further. Read this |

So have created WhatsApp group every info including PNP and FST will be shared. This will serve as alert as some PNP may open for few minutes Whatsapp is a good idea. Unfortunately, it just makes info inaccessible to many more. |

It only makes sense. Most of the conversations here don't serve the purpose of those who wanna go the PNP route. PNP guys probably need to continue to push so the mods can finally listen. |

Jeswino: I just got an ITA and hope this does not amount to misrepresentation.
ii. In the last 10 years, how many total years of skilled work experience do you have? It must have been paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation (NOC skill type 0, A or B).
I chose 3 years but it is 1.25 years in the first company and 2 years in the second company which are NOC 0 and NOC A jobs. Enter it as you have stated. You should be able to first enter your NOC 0, and then your NOC A. This means both NOC will count towards your express entry and only one of them towards your FSW score. |

Listening: 8.0 Reading: 6.5 Writing: 7.0 Speaking: 7.5
I am in shock at the writting as I did not finish at all. It is well.
My birthday is next month. Can I use this to enter the pool before doing the next exam or just wait till I get a better result and then enter the pool? Pls your advise guys! In my opinion rewriting is always better than remarking as you'll wait some significant time before the result comes out. I think you should enter the pool and then rewrite the exam, if you can. There's also the likelihood the reading may not change after remarking. It's less likely to be upgraded. So just enter the pool with this as long as it's above 410 or so |

arizona20: Good People of NL,
My Dh second name differs on Transcript and International Passport. Eg Arinze and Arinzechukwu.
I was advised that Affidavit of one and the same can suffice.
My question is,
Please at what stage of this application process, do we need to provide the Affidavit for one and same.
Also should he upload the said Affidavit with his Degree certificate while sending his document to WES.
Please help me out. Personally, I don't see why this should be a bother. I'm sure there are a number of people who have applied and got PPRs with such subtle difference in their name across documents. There are additional indicators (like DoB) which is often used to know that these docs refer to one and the same person. However, if you wanna put your mind at rest and must do an affidavit, you can send it with your WES evaluation as Dammie pointed out. WES could reflect it on your ECA. Alternatively you can specify the multiple names while applying on the CIC portal and a placeholder will be automatically generated where you can upload the affidavit. |

Its kind of weird to me because people normally go from ip2 to ppr and I have no idea why mine didn't go that route. Was expecting to get PPR today but its already end of the day and nothing showed up. Any thoughts? Don't take everything you read here at face value. There is no hard rule about the changes going as you have said. It does vary with many people. |

Santino1: I'll advice everyone yet to submit to really really tidy up their applications as rejection/refusal will be their mode of cutting down the numbers. Just don't give them a reason for refusal. Dang, I'm beginning to sound like @Boss13. I disagree. They wouldn't use rejection/refusal to reduce numbers. They could simply just increase the CRS score by limiting number of ITA. |
