You made salient points, however.

Hi guys, please I need a lil clarification. We are preparing to dive into the pool once we are done with ECA. However, I hear that there is an issue with a pregnant woman undergoing the medicals. Kindly clarify and if so, what are the issues. The pregnancy is less than three month, is there any reprieve? Further clarification from people with same experience will be appreciated. Thanks
The issue you heard about is probably regarding the safety of the pregnant woman as she & the unborn child will stand the risk of radiation exposure while taking certain X-ray tests during the medical. I learnt there's an apron shield she can wear while doing these tests, and while some argue it's safe, others feel there's still a risk. So, there's the question whether she wants to subject her unborn child to that.

Alright, can I get that at their border as well? Or is there some sort of agency inland that will issue the PPC?

While I understand that it could take varying timelines from person to person, depending on factors, perhaps those that have completed their processes could just mention how long it took. I want to work with an average, I'd know how to also multitask all that needs to be done to cut the time.

I appreciate.
You could check out their embassy. You may be able to get it there. CIC also has a database of countries and how you can get their PCC.

On the average, you can use 6 months after submitting your application to CIC.

Hello house. I need your advice. I will be done with my NYSC next year and i wish to leave Nigeria. I have over £10,000 in my domiciliary account. Which country do you suggest even though i prefer Canada.
I don't think you should leave a decision as important as this to people. Do your research and decide where you want go. Australia, New Zealand, Canada and a bunch of other countries have this PR thing in place. With the right research you can identify where you should leave Nigeria to.

You can leave the field blank if you have forgotten the number. That's CIC's recommendation.

Also, I've been to the Republic of Benin in the past, do I need to go there to get the Police clearance as well?

Plenty questions ooo.

Can I dump my expired passport that I used for the trip to republic of Benin? No other meaningful visa on it. I don't want to stress myself for a clearance from the country since I have a new passport.

I'd be glad to know.

Thanks in advance.
You are better off getting that PCC and declaring the travel history. There's greater chance you'll hurt your application if you don't.

Great. So, this process, from start to finish took how long, ma'am?
"This process", by which I suppose you mean the PR application process, can take anywhere from 19 days to several months (some up to 10). The other process of evaluating your certificates and writing IELTS is in large part in your hands, though influenced by other factors. It has taken some 3 months; others several years.

In the end, it isn't about how long "this process" is. You don't just get the PR handed to you across the counter; you have to work at it. And that could take you some significant time.

Good evening everyone. Question for those with ITA and PPR. I was helping someone fill thier ITA toady and when the list for documents came out I noticed that there is no place holder for letter of explanation. Is this a recent development or its a technical mishap
Try another browser. I've experienced that placeholder come and go like a fluttering butterfly in the Nigerian sun.

Is it possible to fill your Express entry form with just WES reference number and with Ielts just to get in the pool?
Yes, armed with your WES reference & IELTS TRF number, you can dive into the pool.
CIC advises further to start assembling your docs once you get into the pool, cos you never know how soon ITA may come.

So with just a WES evaluation of ONLY MSc(1yrs), he gets the maximum 50points from skills transferability( with CLB 9 LRWS(8,7,7,7))

THANKS....WHAT A RELIEF! cheesy cheesy
You don't get maximum points. You just get close to the maximum. Of course, with only MSc.

What of in the CRS ranking where MSc is not clearly stated but 2 or more post-secondary degrees? In the skills transferability, won't he need to prove both his MSc and BSc in order to claim maximum points?

CHECK HIGHLIGHTED.
MSc is higher than "Two or more certificates"

Please do I have to go to Lagos for PCC or it can be done in any state?....Just trying to gather enough information before I start the process, Thanks.
You can do it in any state, though they'd eventually do it in Lagos for you. Just go to any police headquarters in that state, you'll find someone who can help send your application down to Lagos.
Alternatively, if you could download the form online, fill it, insert your thumbprints and then scan it down to a contact in Lagos who can help take it to Alagbon, you can do it yourself from the convenience of your home.

Please do I include my spouse educational history in my express entry profile even though i am not claiming points for it?

Kindly advise.
As you are not claiming points for it, I don't think there's any reason to. But you should also be able to include it, while stating there's no ECA for it, in which case you still don't get any points.

good day to everyone and happy independence
I need you all to put me through, am a registered nurse here in Nigeria with my bnsc and a kid, though me and my patner is nt legally married .
I want to know if I can include him in my profile besides, he is not going now cos he's currently running a program which will end by 2019,after which he will come to join us.
Now my question is should I include him now, or he should file for his own separately, and as a nurse am i going to use same process like others or there is a way to do my certificate verification.
thanks
If you can prove that he is a common-law partner, then you can still submit an application with him included. Better to file everything together.

I received copy of my GCMS yesterday and on it the case analyst said in bold letters that according to the GTB exchange rate at the time of my application, I do not meet the minimum required funds for single applicant. Hence under Eligibility, it shows Review Required.
I fixed 3M which at that time was about 12,700cad using Oanda which I uploaded.
My question is did I miss something, or the funds I fixed should have been more than that?
Is it now advisable to use bank rate?

Application at Ottawa
Many forget that in areas like this your application is at the near full discretion of the visa officer. He could have just gone on google and determined using the current exchange rate that your POF was not enough. He couldn't have had the time to dig out what the exchange rate was at the time you placed your application. This is why you want to consider two options:

1. Render your POF in Canadian dollars in a domicilliary account and remove the influence exchange rate fluctuations
2. Ensure your naira when converted to dollars is way above the requirement such that exchange rate fluctuations will have no influence in the foreseeable future.

Clearly, you should have fixed more than that and not held your application by a thread.

Happy New Month & Happy Independence.
I have been thinking about this. Is it possible to add one's Granny as a dependent- health wise she us ok- old age n hbp- is it feasible ir better to get PR & get her a visa to visit.
I don't think so. A parent can't be a dependant. The latter option is better: get your PR and then process a visa to visit.

Hello family

I finished my nysc this early this year in a govt school,..got a teller job as a contract staff in a bank in JULY...by JULY ending next year I plan to quit d job as I will be resuming by SEPTEMBER fr msc finance n accounting in Ireland/Norway....then I plan moving to canada as PR....cant go straight to skul in canada cos I grad wt 2:2 n also d financial requirement is higher especially with TRV latest issues......my question is
am I on the ryt track...Am presently 22 yrs ..will I qualify with my one year banking CONTRACT staff experience.....
You should be fine with your one year bank experience as long as it was full-time (more points). Age is on your side. And you'll have a masters to boost your scores. Keep your head up. You'll obtain a decent CRS score.
The caveat is: will scores still remain as low as they currently are in 1-2 years' time after which you'll be done with your masters?

Happy Independence day to you all!

I have a question please, is it possible to add my little niece to my EE profile?... she's 5years old, still have both her parents, she won't accompany me when I am going, but will come later.
According to CIC, Non-accompanying dependants are family members, i.e. you, your spouse (or common-law partner), your dependent children, or the children of your dependent children.
if you want this niece to feature in your application, I guess you have to adopt her first., i.e. get full custody of the child. Among the options you get to select when filling the form is "Adopted Child".

God bless you... One last thing sir, how will I put my reference number on the scanned documents?

"Fax the certificate to WES

Fax: +1-416-972-9004

Hellofax and many others offer free online fax services."
Write it on top, or write it on a page and scan the page with your docs. Your aim is to get them to notice the reference number.
For your transcript, ensure the doc you print out on WES website is inserted in the envelope that goes to them.
