This happens everyday if u must knw, it must not be verbally, ladies propose to guy by their actions this days, which is widely known by u and me.
Is not so conspicuous Becos it's not verbal but is very pronounced by actions.
Accept this change after all we are in the era of change. Change with it wink
Accept change? Hello meet the president of the club. grin

I'm only asking that you don't judge those who aren't flowing as fast as others too harshly.
I know ladies propose subtly all the time. But Subtle proposal and the direct one aren't exactly the same. It will take some time to transition into that seamlessly.

Traditional?
And his traditional mentality is only on this?
How come he has gone past tradition as regards his mode of dressing, shelter but this?
NB;
Men who see this as tradition are very POSSESIVE. Your opinion nor feelings are not valid in his life, you are only there to ans and not question his orders.
Things change one step at a time.
I wouldn't consider a man who holds onto such tradition of proposal as very possessive or inconsiderate about the lady's feelings. Why? Because it is still a very wide spread tradition in many parts of the world. You can't really call him a control freak for still holding onto traditions that happen around him everyday with few if any exceptions.

Where's he to get the idea that it's actually okay if he hasn't seen people do it without dying of emasculation?

But with time, as it happens with many things, it will become more common place and many of them will not find it odd or emasculating that the lady proposes.
Then you can judge him if you want grin
Family › Re: Should A Woman Propose To A Man...thoughts? by cococandy(f):
if the woman ever does, then that's because she sees him as not MAN enough and wants to carry his load for him.
I beg to disagree with this @ mizmycoli.

If she didn't think him man enough, she wouldn't want to marry him.
In fact she thinks he's manly enough that she doesn't want to wait and watch him to slip away.

A lady who does that must be seeing something very manly in the man that she's wiling to defy centuries-old tradition to make him hers. And we all know how hard going against tradition can be.

I'd be flattered out of my boots if I was the dude grin

Well then there is more to it than just that.
Yea some people are particularly traditional.
Family › Re: Should A Woman Propose To A Man...thoughts? by cococandy(f): 10:17pm On Aug 21, 2015
Obviously it depends on the man in question.
After dating him for a while, you'd know if he's the type to be put off by such things or not.
Needless to say it would be foolhardy to propose to guy who you know isn't open to such.

But if you're not sure, then putting it out there is better than hanging in limbo without knowing where the relationship is going.

If he says no, what's left to do than move onto the next person.
Travel › Re: Extortionists At The Airports by cococandy(f):
Corruption is at our core and it hurts me that they do this collectively as a means to get income from poor travelers. Is there like no one among them that can say "this is wrong. Let's stop it."
Instead we will always look at other countries as if they are the cause of our problems while in truth we are the ones who treat each other like dirt.

That's how one was telling me that I'm not allowed to travel with more than two pieces braid hair extensions unless I pay for the rest. Something That's obviously a lie.how much is the thing that I'll even want to pay for it in order to pass. His goal was to make me pay or miss my flight.

Our wickedness to each other is epic.

a land where it's legal for two men to "love" each other is definitely a place where any thing weird, creepy and insane is allowed.
so adultery is also legal too. cheesy
Thanks for enlightening me.

One would say a land where old men can legally defile children in the name of marriage is a place where anything insane, creepy, weird and inhumane is allowed.

But it's my country so I guess it's ok.

No vex abeg, What is atama leaf?
tchidi:
Atama leaf
Water leaf
Stockfish/dried fish
Egusi (small cup)
Pepper and crayfish

Boil your meat/stockfish/dried fish till cooked and has little stock. Add washed/chopped waterleaf. Leave to boil for 3/4 mins, add pepper, crayfish and egusi, leave to boil for another 3 mins, add oil. When it has boiled 'round' like my mum will say, add the atama leaf. Boil for 5 mins, bring it down. Shikenan.

Wickedness.
Not like it bad for people to work such hours if they want to, but the small pay and no benefits and no security is discouraging.

Plus most importantly, no one to look into your case if you're harrassed. If you don't like the harassment, your only choice is to quit.
That's the most important part.
