we were saying the same thing all along. Yet you chose to directly contradict me by quoting my entire post and terming it wrong. How would you react? huh
Perhaps you need to learn how to convey your point without seeming confrontational.
You have a good day yourself.
What I said is wrong was the biological rather than social angle you attributed boys reaction to rape as.
And that's was what we were initially talking about.
I even said that would be off topic to start discussing in details so how much clearer could I have been that I meant the bio/socio aspect instead of implied responsibility on the victims that you tried to make of my post afterwards?

Maybe because I didn't highlight that part of your post to say specifically it was the part I thought was wrong. I assumed you'd know because we started out on that foot of bio vs socio.

Sorry for any misunderstandings.

Maybe the bold is quite true.

It's possible some of you guys complaining here still don't see rape as a bad thing but just using the thread to try discourage people from speaking against rapists because in your mind, since men aren't complaining why should women complain.

craziebone:
I do not tink the out cry we are seeing here is genuine. I think it is coming from men so as to tell bully feminists that men have got issues to.

Anyway, i am not going to call it rape, really. But that i cannot call it rape doesn't mean it is not serious and shouldn't be dealt with.

The whole involves an older lady cajoling a boy into sexual activities with her. A boy, who by legal implications, cannot be seen as capable of consent. While there are no physical injuries (not all times a female victim of rape sustains a physical injury), there are orientational and possibly, psychological implications.

When you introduce that kind of child to sexual activites at that age, he may be liking it. Afterall, it is sweet and in the end, the lady gives him chin chin etc. But the truth again is...the only lesson he is learning is that sex is basically for pleasure and nothing more. When he grows up with this mentality and orientations, he tends to see the woman as nothing more than a person you can just have pleasure with. He sees sex as not something you have to be deeply and heartily involved with a woman before you can have it, but as someting you only need to have the urge in order to be able to have.

Also, these ladies only use these boys and when they are leaving him, it is always in a harsh way. Maybe the lady has found a guy she wants to settle with and have a meaningful relationship with, and when the boy comes around for the usual pleasure, she shouts him out and warns him she is not his mate. At that point, the boy feels psychologically rejected and he may begin to visit that hurt and pain on other ladies in diverse form, one of them is rape.

Teempakguy:
I'm sorry, what?
Anyway, you're right in that we will derail by attempting to debate on the subject.

However, I still maintain my stance. Just like in the cases of female rape, the best mode of action is one from the outside. Drawing the victim out is a hundred times better than hopelessly expecting the victim to take the initiative and come out. Which seems to be your suggested technique.
Loads of misunderstandings going on here today.

Drawing the victim out.

How's that different from 'encouraging' the victims to see that they've been victimized and to speak up instead of taking it for granted when such is done to them.

Are you one of those people who even when they are saying the same thing the other person is saying like to make it seem that they on opposite sides of the fence just because huh

Omo I don't have power to do pointless roundabout argument today.
Have a good day.

This is false.

But it will take us away from the issue if I try to debate it with you.
Teempakguy:
oh really?
And you don't realize that social configuration is a direct consequence of biological make up?
Do you think the Ego men possess just pops out of nowhere? No it doesn't. undecided it is caused by testestorone. Which . . . the last time I remembered, was biological.
Men being bigger, stronger . . . okay, that was also social? Come on!
Men's brains are wired to feel only pleasure from sex. Whether forced or not. It's women and the effeminate ones that feel "used" or hurt. The guys here are just posting their stories here to spite female rape victims. Some can't even help themselves. They turn it into jokes. grin
And that is not a consequence of social whatever. It's directly biological.

The social traits you so dearly criticize do not pop out of nowhere. They're strictly consequences of biological make up.

On the issue of male rape, I strongly condemn it. It is morally wrong, and ruins a man's life. In some cases, these victims grow up and start raping women. So, it's just so bad.
However, the victims of this gender specific case find it hard to see themselves as victims. embarassed and even if they do, they are promptly waved away by their peers. So, the evil acts continue unabated. And nothing can be done by advising these men to come out as victims. That,s basically asking them to contradict their own personal values. Some people are too proud to play the victim. So, what can be done?
External action is what I advise. Parents should constantly keep up with their children. I've noticed the vigorous journalism on female rape nowadays. The same can be done for the male version.

But in the end, neither male nor female rape will ever be eradicated till the end of time. Kind of makes all of these rather pointless. undecided

iPopAlomo:
no... it's easy to preach to guys to speak out... I've read all your comments... not once have you bashed a female rapist... but you advice us to teach younger male child to secure their sexuality... that's what the female folks do... and how well has it worked out for the girl child...?
Are you kidding me? Have you ever seen a woman accused of rape and I supported her? Where when? I don't like people like you who deliberately (and I know it's delibrate) try to misunderstand others. So in other words, I support female rapists and think they should continue molesting young boys?

I'm kind of tempted to ignore your trifling post and the insinuations that it carries because it's plain silly.

I probably need to break it down bit by bit for you.

Why do you think we hear of male rapists more than female rapists? Because the female victims speak up more. And why is it so? Because we've focused so much on telling the girls to speak and totally neglected the boys that some people until this day can't still believe males can be molested.

How many women have been jailed in NIGERIA because they raped boys, probably a few compared to men who have done. And how will they be jailed if the boy victims don't point at them and say she did this to me. At least the perps have to be caught first before justice can be done to them isn't it so? How will they be caught if these boys don't even know something bad has been done to them and run to report when it happens.

So tell me how teaching the boys to be protective of their sexuality instead of seeing it as one of those things isn't a good idea.

Ok female rapists are the devil and derserve to be drawn and quartered.
That's satisfies ipopalomo.

Yet the boys don't see rape as a bad thing and these Devils who do it will still get away with it.
Problem remains but your need for bashing has been satisfied so I guess that's ok.
Family › Re: Should I Go For A Divorce? by cococandy(f): 3:08pm On Aug 18, 2015
You married her because you didn't want to give up on your 'investments' not that you were really into her after that incident.
You obviously as you said haven't gotten over it and it must show in your attitude which is probably why she's uncomfortable and suspicious about any time you're 'free' with other women.

In her mind, you could decide to go for anyone of them at any time.

That's why it's good to be sure you're totally over something in the past before moving on with future plans. After 8 yrs and your can still narrate the event bit by bit, you are so not over it. Yet you walked in with eyes wide open. So don't back out now for no reason.

You guys shouldn't have gotten married.
But as you have, try to put the past behind you and forge ahead.
Stop being 'free' with other women. You're now a married man. If you stop that, you will see her stop her nagging.

If you work on your relationship rather than dwell on the past, you may yet overcome.

It has nothing to do with families.
There's this general mentality that men can not be raped by women.
but if a woman rape u, then u are very lucky.

I have seen a situation where a man was raped by a woman when he raised alarm, no body took him serious. Some people were even calling him fool and woman wrapper that he should have just relax and enjoy the rape.

I was going to create a thread about this and how gender stereotypes hurt men too.
Then I remember the last time I tried to bring that up on someone's thread, how 'alpha' males shut me down.

So basically it's ok for men to suffer some things in silence because of the few who think their pride is the most important thing in the world.

God help the ones who are in touch with their emotions and don't consider ego that most important thing in life. They can't even complain without being called effeminate.

Sabrwahaqqo:
Well, let me just say this is how our society had been engineered , its how the world have been programmed to look at us and how we've been designed to look at ourselves as the masculine. The society believes we are alpha positives and expect us to live up to that title. It's saddening but what can be done? Nothing for now!
A typical nigga don't know or isn't trained to shed tears or show pains. Some of us don't even know how to beg for help when we are down emotionally financially or what have you.
We fear we would be tagged weak and effeminate, We fear we would be looked down upon, We don't want our ego to be marred and tarnished by yelling and crying out loud! That should be the responsibility of women our fathers have taught us. So we keep mute and keep struggling till we either die struggling or make a headway somehow.... That's what's up and I can't say its unfortunate cos it has its own merits and this the op has raised being an apparent de-merit that can't be wiped but could be guarded against if parents could wake up and gear up and be more watchful and protective of them wards. One can't be 100 percent but at least one's gotta give it a top shot!
Furthermore, training us to be big strong and resilient like the Iroko tree is not unokay just that we need to be thought how to express pain and discomfort when it comes so we could get help ASAP so we won't end up self-destroyed!
These I feel should be the campaign.

PAIX!

It's not biological.

This is a clear result of social conditioning.
Teempakguy:
Okay, so I guess this means one thing . . . men and women can never be equal . . . like seriously, look at the number of guys here confessing to molestation, and it-s like we're sharing jokes. grin
In the end, the difference is biological. Our biological differences which grant men partial superiority.

Okay fine.I'm being a male chauvinist here. But come on! Give a guy a break Na. I've got this huge ego to maintain. tongue

@bold, it's like you're in my head.

These guys need reorientation ASAP.

shaybebaby:
So someone has opened a thread about rape/ paedophilia perpetrated by females on young male children and it appears to me that the victims themselves are trivialising the horror of such happenstance.
How can the gravity be communicated when the victims themselves are making light of it rather than being honest about the emotional and psychological havoc it wreaked and is still wreaking in their lives
. We know such experiences becomes part of what shapes their relationships with females in adulthood. Unsuspecting females then suffer as result of this and it continues, a vicious cycle where everyone loses in someway because someone took advantage of a child.
The same education about awareness given to female children should be given to boys as well. I have a son and I shudder to think such could happen, that woman/ man had better be prepared to forfeit future use of any sexual parts they have but they will be fvcked up by me.
Guys, don't make light of this issue, what is wrong is wrong irrespective of gender. If a young boy happens to read the jokes and questions that are being asked on here such as " did you enjoy it?", pray tell, how would ever feel comfortable to speak up when the same people of his gender are making light of his ordeal.
Family › Re: Neglect Of Male Child Rape/molestation By a Female Adult by cococandy(f): 2:42pm On Aug 18, 2015
the only people stopping the male victims of rape from getting justice is the men themselves. How many of you laugh at a fellow man who claims he was raped? How many of you make mockery of them and call them not man enough.

How many fathers are teaching their sons to be protective of their sexuality? In fact the way they raise the boys, at the age of 14, if he's able to sleep with a lady older than him which technically is rape because he's underage, he instead of feeling victimized sees it as an achievement.

The change has to come from how you raise your sons. Let them know their sexuality is not to be toyed with. See those ones on front page asking ladies to please rape them. You don't think such things rub off on the smaller boys and make them see rape as nothing bad to them.
So how will they speak up when molested?

We need to change our approach on how we train small children differently because of their gender. The earlier these boys are taught that they can also be victims of rape, the sooner they can start speaking up when molested and the sooner the perpetrators can be brought to justice.

People who are speaking up against female sexual molestation aren't your problem. You're your own problems because you make light of the offense. How will you be aggrieved if something you don't consider terrible is done to you. You must first genuinely consider rape a terrible offense to be able to impart that knowledge in younger growing boys..

You probably can't trace the family anyway to know who they really were.
All the blame lies on your drunken driving but looking at what happened from when you had the collision, your immediate reaction was probably the most human thing you could have done as staying there might have earned you instant death from a lynching mob. So I don't really blame you for running away.
I blame you for not reporting to the police immediately though. You could have gone to jail (fair enough) and/or be made to compensate the family (which you probably couldn't afford as at that time).

Now you can try to atone for your sins through charity. Do things that cost you much and make you sacrifice. Maybe that will help. Although it won't take away all the guilt but that guilt is also part of your atonement and one you have to keep making until you die. Talking a life isn't a joke.

There's no easy way out of this for you.

Maybe so that they don't turn a blind eye and contract a killer disease all in the name of not looking for trouble.

Actually looking for trouble is pretending that all is well when one person is a possible bag of STDs bringing it home to the other.

You might wanna do that. There's really not much you can do about promoting your own culture when singled out among people of other culture.

Jahblessme:
Nice discussion.
What would be the suggestion for black children who will most likely be the only black child in school, only black.child/children in the neighbourhood?

There are very very few black people around here,in my area we are the only ones and to be honest I'm quite worried about the kids.

How do I instill excellence and self confidence in them?A sense of identity too?

I am actively now considering shelling for school fees in the belief that it may bring some sort of advantage to my kids? Straight from primary down to Secondary.

Theres no grammar schools here as they believe segregating children according to ability is not right

I am afraid of the inevitable why is my hair this way why is my skin this way question. What are the answers to give?

Then what books to read to keep their sense of Africa alive? Should I actively seek out black people?

We have even considered moving to England just for the kids not to feel alone. The blacks we know here are just like 4 or 5 and live far away in other counties.

How to raise kids to excel in a place where they are the only African children essentially is the question.

5 yrs isn't just.

More like 15yrs and above. Usually the pattern the rapist used determines how long he spends in jail. The more violent the longer the sentence.

Repeat offenders aka serial rapists can be given life imprisonment.

Don't joke with death penalty.

It's a very serious penalty reserved for those who have done gruesomely unspeakable acts of murder. Not all murderers even deserve death penalty.
