Why is he putting pressure on her to take out a life insurance? This is all shades of shady if you ask me.
If she does take out a life insurance, her kids should be the beneficiaries. No one who forces you to take out a life insurance and make them beneficiaries means well for you.
Much less when he has a special signature that he only uses when dealing with you.
Make she shine her eyes well well well. |

Loooooooool @bold At the rest, knocking a child is corporal punishment but slapping isn't? Knocking which is done with clenched fists and the bony part of the fingers (knuckle) and on the head non the less? 5mins abeg bone matter. When you're wrong take correction and leave it at that. 5minsmadness: I know more about medical conditions that you do. Leave it at that. I repeat, the knock on her head wasnt enough to cause any permanent damage. Its people who throw thier kids against the wall and bash thier heads in with thier fists you should be addressing not me. People who are children themselves and hit thier kids outof anger and frustration, Parents who are still prone to temper tantrums because they themselves were not disciplined as kids. Parents who take out life's frustrations on thier children.
I have never seen any kid with shaking baby syndrome in this Nigeria. Its definitely more common in the "More Civilized Countries" than it is here. Probably because thier adults arent matured enough to handle thier own kids properly.
Corporal punishment to me includes: knocking on the head spanking on the buttocks flogging on the bumbum(elder children) Kneeling down with arms raised
It is also pertinent to note that as soon as you punish a child you must let the child know the reason for the punishment so s/he can learn from it. Most corporal punishment stops when the child has reached a reasonable age e.g 15=18.
What is NOT corporal punishment is: Slapping the child Punching the child Shaking the child violently Throwing the child violently Using instruments on the child like shoes, cords, cables, belts*, iron rods, etc Using pepper on the child Kicking the child Hitting the child's head or body on the wall etc.
*belting can be used on certain stubborn boys esp of teenage age when the cane is no longer threathening. But I do not personally advocate it.
All the above are acts of cruelty done under anger and frustration and can inflict severe bodily harm as well as mental trauma on the child. |

Nobody intends to kill when they hit. What do you know about brain damage? Especially in infants. Read up on shaking baby syndrome and know what trauma to the head--which include many violent practices on children among which are slaps and 'the knock of her life' can do to a developing child. It doesn't manifest immediately. I'm not saying anything will happen to your niece, she probably has nothing to worry about. But Hitting children isn't corporal punishment. 5minsmadness: I know my own strength. My intent wasnt to kill but to correct. And funny enough the child isnt brain damaged or emotionally traumatized. She still calls me "uncle" and climbs all over me when we play. And yes she's still one of the top best in her class.
I am all for corporal punishment. It helps a child fear and respect you as an adult and enables you to pass your lessons of life across more effectively. As the child grows older I ease off on the corporal punishment and rely more on reasoning. This is the time to let the child know why certain things are right and wrong, and at an older age the child appreciates this logical correction more. Its a waste of time trying to explain to a three year old that she almost killed us by grabbing the steering wheel so violently. |

My husband had beaten me before without mentioning it to a single soul. But if its him he wont hesitate to feed his friend and siblings,The first time it happened we talked about it but it happened again 5 days ago,I love my Husband But i dont TRUST HIM AGAIN.I The solution to a violent marriage is DIVORCENo skirting around it to type words pleasant to the ears but that don't solve the problem. Don't be a statistic. You can chose to fast and pray about it. Or you can chose to leave with your life and body parts in tact. It's your life and your choice. |

You paid her tuition one session and that means you saw her through school? Guy I salute you. I know she should be appreciative for whatever you've done for her, but she's not obligated to marry you because of that. I hope you also appreciate the ones she did for you while you were together. Move on. And you will soon find someone who will love you for you. OND and all. What's wrong with an OND anyway |
Family › Re: ... by cococandy(f): 3:56pm On Aug 15, 2015 |
Which ladies are you referring to? yes some women see their periods while still pregnant especially the first few months and it isn't that rare. She could have become pregnant from previous sex with you before the particular period that you are talking about. like I told you before, tell her you want a paternity test when the child is born. Without it, speculations can't help you get an answer. Purehuman: If the possibility of the result of an action is very low, then the certainty of the outcome have to be questioned.
Your friend had that issue doesn't mean its normal. So, she had to ask. I asked a doctor the possibility of it happening, it answered that I should be sure before taking any other action.
So, the way some ladies take issues without any form rational reasoning is baffling. Everything isn't a matter of emotions but we should add alittle bit of tact in them. |
Family › Re: ... by cococandy(f): 3:24pm On Aug 15, 2015 |
edwife: It is rare but it does happen, what if she is among the rare ones?
No need for all this,go with her for a test to ascertain that she is truly pregnant then the next step will be DNA to establish the paternity.
My aunt bled all through her pregnancy, never missed a month until she was 6 months pregnant. It's not even that rare like one in a thousand or so. I've a friend here who found out she was four months pregnant when she went to get her contraceptive refill at the clinic and she has been having her periods all through. |

You don't seem to know that hitting a child on the head what is one the worst things you can do to a kid. Their brains are still tender at that age. You couldn't even spank her bottom of you wanted to hit her. Na head you dey knock am. Pls read up on kids and how delicate their brains still are in case you didn't know before. 5minsmadness: That was very dangerous.
My niece is always trying to grab the steering wheel while am driving. Her parents don't support spanking. (she's five).
One day she grabbed the steering while I wa driving alone with her and almost threw us into the Bush. I gave her knock of life on her head and warned her never to try it again. So far she hasn't repeated the act. |

Mmmm. I wasn't suspecting it to be a spy feature or anything of such. And it probably is better for it to be the updated version. I just hate that when I project my 'popcorn time' from the computer to the TV it always leaves the sound behind. It was very annoying to me. I'm fine dear. I hope you are too. all4naija: Some people find it a bit disturbing. As for me, it is the best Windows OS Microsoft has ever come up. I have been an Insider from the first day till now testing it and reporting bugs. Windows 10 is better than previous Windows versions. Most people who revert to previous Windows or not willing to migrate are those who think there are telemetry and spy features included in it that can possibly send their important information to Microsoft. There is a fact Microsoft collects data from your Windows 10 but to better serves you well not for any ulterior motives as many would like you believe.
I'd say you upgrade that Windows 8 because it is not as secure as Windows 10 and many applications that are being developed for Windows 10 might not be available for Windows 8 with time. It is the future of Microsoft operating system.
Thank you very much for you advice. It is understandable. How are you and your family, ma'am? |

Eya you seem to be a good guy who doesn't deserve that. She's a perfect wife for those like her. Let both of them sit around and play video games while their kids starve.
What do you intend to do about her behavior?
As for your kids, you can buy those hot pocket and pre-made pasta kinds of food that they only have to heat up in the microwave. So you don't have to cook everyday for them. Do take-out for yourself sometimes too. Maybe she will be hungry enough one day to get up and cook. |
