It is sickening really.

These kinds of thread annoy me and more annoying is when one mor0n writes a foolish thing borne out of his or foolishness and try to pass it off as a clever analysis. So all people who are raped go home and report immediately or some aren't so scared they don't want to scream when the attacker is upon them for fear of being harmed?

I give up on the basic IQ of folks around here. angry
MizzD:
You have no idea how angry i am. What in God's name is wrong with Nigerians. More than 80% have blamed the victim. Just because shes no virgin(a mere assumption ), it was consensual! What is so unbelievable in a father overpowering his daughter, this man in question is aas good as the lady 's father. Why didnt she scream when she stepped out, or tell her parents immediately she got home, what do people take rape for though. Good news to be delightfully shared undecided.

How can i believe a man who claims he removed his shirt, what for? Was he hot inside the ac at that time of the day. Claims the girl just started rubbing his manhood, just like that? undecided

People have no idea how devastating a rape experience is, and that is why they will always make a case for the rapist. Its no surprise rape victims keep to themselves because the humiliation and judgement they face from ignorant nigerians for speaking out is much worse that the act itself

1. If you think it's not rape because a woman is not a virgin, I weep for you. cry

2. You can be sent to jail for raping your wife, or for raping an 'olosho'.

3. Not all virgins have their hymen unbroken.

4. Not every broken hymen is as a result of intercourse.

5. Lecturers do this more often than you care to imagine -- I have personally had to step-in in defense of a few girls through various harsh means.

6. Not all girls scream or shout when attacked. Some are in shock (so unprepeared/helpless), that they don't know what to do. Some won't scream 'cause of shame. cry

7. Bottom line; this cruel man exploited this young lady, betrayed his friend, betrayed his wife and kids. #lowlife

8. He will see jail time, and have his life ripped apart too.

9. For those making a case for him, make a silent wish for yourselves and loves ones that you/them never have to encounter such.

Silly man even if she came onto him, he couldn't employ his brain and know that he had a career, a name, a marriage and a friendship with the so called father of the girl to protect.

How low can one go to satisfy silly urges.

"I removed my shirt" bla bla bla.
In the presence of a little girl that was handed over to you by the father? Wasn't their meeting supposed to official. Wetin come carry am remove shirt? Liar.

Is the man not already married?
huh
kevinberry:
That reminds me,since this thread mostly compasses single's matured women..

I want your views concerning this issue

There is a lady just opposite our compound here in my estate, for some reasons she is married yet,but the compound and house which she resides in was purchased by one certain man...for some reasons the man is married, living in another compound with his wife and children ,so it seems the man promise this lady marriage, and this lady says she can't wait any longer, that the man keeps on postponing. The marriage, and this certain lady goes to club like club her cocaine that keeps her alive ,so many people have whispered to the man concerning this woman wayward life,so she changed tactics, she stopped taking her car with her, instead hire a cab that will always pick her up and drop her back, so my question now is that...as a woman, would you advice the man, supposing he his your brother,to go ahead with the marriage,is it morally right, considering her wayward and carefree life, clubbing, taking of alcohol, hustling etc...would you advice someone close to you to marry such woman.....

Your views please

Grind (I use coffee grinder) whole cloves and whole red & black peppercorns(in any local grocery stores spice aisle) . With a touch of ginger and hot pepper of your choice, peppersoup has never tasted naijaish wink. Mint leaves is also a perfect substitute for the scent leaves.

Only a few people if any practice true submission in the real sense. When people say that, they really do mean compromise.

freecocoa:
I get you but although in some of those instances, your will doesn't even come into the picture as you have no will as regards the matter in the first place.

Say hubby wants to eat jellof rice and I didn't have a particular food in mind and won't mind jellof rice, so he mentions it, I cook it, did I really do his will? The way I see it, it can only be his will, if I didn't want jellof rice but cooked it because of him anyway.

To submit to someone, you have to give up your will, now how easy is it, to give up one's will?

I think compromise is different from submission.

There's nothing like your own will, in submission.
Family › Re: Girls night out discussions by cococandy(f): 4:53pm On Aug 07, 2015
freecocoa:
But is it though buky?

With those things mentioned, your will is still yours but with submission, the story changes.

There's a difference in doing what a person politely asks of you, than the one ordered(grammar) of you.
Yea I understand the grammar difference. The key thing is that in the end someone's will and not yours was done. The ability to be fine with that happening at anytime is what I was actually talking about. That's the mindset anyone going into a relationship should have. That it will be sometimes so.

Forget the rigid grammar. No one in real life can mandate their partner to do what they want all the time in a healthy relationship.

So even a willingly submissive person is in fact just making a good old compromise because he or she made the CHOICE and wasn't forced to do so.

The 50:50 split is actually shared responsibility with defined roles.
Kimoni:
Undefined roles actually. Anybody can do anything...from what I read o
That's the thing now. Who's defining the roles?
Anybody can actually do anything depending on their strengths. It's left for the couple to figure it out between themselves.
Even after they do, there will be days you end up doing what is meant for your partner to do simply because on that day it's is more convenient for you to do so.
Flexibility is the word.
Family › Re: Girls night out discussions by cococandy(f): 4:08pm On Aug 07, 2015
On the matter of submission, there can't be any successful union without it.

I know the dictionary definition means giving way to a higher authority.
Does it mean that when a man submits to the wife's will she has the higher authority for that moment?
That's one reason why men will hardly agree that they submit but in actual fact they do.
Everybody submits. even in casual friendships much less a marriage.
The better term for it is compromise. But it doesn't change the fact that it is the same thing.

anyone who insists on having their way and the final say at all times will have a very unhappy and resentful partner.

So we compromise (AKA submit) and let the other person's will be done because we aren't selfish and we love peace to reign.

Men do it. And women do it too. You can't be a successful socially balanced human if you can't do that.

Only NL makes it sound like a bad thing.
Family › Re: Girls night out discussions by cococandy(f): 3:58pm On Aug 07, 2015
Jaybee I don't think 50-50 rule(if there's such a rule) has anything to do with who does what . How can anyone seriously measure that?
You do half the dishes, I do half the laundry, (what if I'm home more often?) you bring half the money and I bring half. Lol. what if I make more money than you do? nobody can say they practice that in real life. If they do, they will just sound silly.

@the topic when mutual respect is mentioned the first thing we should be thinking is not 50-50. I guess that idea came into play from NL misinterpretation and has been circulated around enough.

To be honest my DH does more chores than I do. That doesn't make me above him in any way at all. I know he's respects me and he knows I respect him. That's just the simplest way to put it.

The kids will bear his surname not mine so without questions we know who the head of the family is. No need to look at the relationship like a fortune 500 company where we will have a defined CEO with his assigned office space and duties.

I don't like to look at relationships in such rigid terms. Just be yourself and your partner will always be there to pitch in support for you even if it means taking up manly or womanly roles not meant for their gender if they have to. As long they gat ya back.

(Even the poor ones without jobs)

Where I come from, (I don't know about other areas) I've never seen more hardworking women in life than them.
From everything between A-Z these women struggle to raise their kids and build their own homes, support their families.

"nobody can try this with my wife" ringing all over the place. smiley how sweet.

Pls if you want to ensure that it stays that way, be faithful to your wife. The moment you have a side chick, she knows you don't value your wife. You don't need to insult your wife anymore in her presence for her to know the wife is 'insultable'.

You open the door for that to happen once you get the side chick. God have mercy on you if she's the desperate type that doesn't let go easily. She will blackmail you until you pockets go dry.
