Buhari was literally elected because people believed he will cure Nigeria of corruption.
No. He was elected for tribal and religious sentiments.
They didn’t even let Jonathan (an actually good president) complete his tenure. They did all they could to remove him from office. The people who believe it must either be their tribe or religion that will rule Nigeria saw to that and they made sure another northern Muslim came to power.

You must be living under a rock.

Buhari, Jonathan, etc. Remember Buhari came on anti corruption mantra. Jonathan was a very humble man and we loved that. Even the blind can see the kind of darkness behind Tinubu.

In fact, the best years of Nigerian democracy was under Obasanjo. Who had a horrible reputation. After him, everything started going down
Sorry Buhari had never been known to be holy. Lol

Because Online words fuel real life wars

The people saying things online might hide in real life but when the flames are fanned hard enough, it can ignite a fire that even people who don’t have online accounts can be burned from

DrMuzungu:
Did not mean to offend you!

But really... the great majority of those talking trash online would shut their gutter mouths when facing people in physical world, so why should anyone bother?

And….bingo.

Like a true unthinking ape whose brain can’t function beyond sex and bigotry, the moment you saw a female moniker your first instinct was to age-shame and then resort to crude sexual assault fantasies. Imbecilez like you are littered everywhere on this forum. A dime a dozen. I can promise you that another one of your ilk would have made this exact comment in the same exact order. There’s only one brain cell shared between all of and it seems you are wearing it today.

Anyway I’m an old cargo. Evening newspaper.
I’m sure the right age woman for you has not even been born yet.

The 3 contestants are unique in their own ways. I didn't support any candidate. Tinubu is definitely sick but the people around him are very sound.

It takes a lot to run a state like Lagos from the shadows. We have had holy men as president for decades now. It's time to see what a renowned crook can do for us.

As I always say, it's better to have a manager who is a well known crook but is very effective, than to have a holy manager who you have doubts about his effectiveness.
What holy men have you had ruling Nigeria?

If you did, you wouldn’t rob them 🤷🏽‍♀️
If you did, you wouldn’t impose yourself on them.
Can’t claim you hear people loud and clear and still do exactly what they asked you not to.

Maybe you heard them loud and clear but don’t care either way

You will eat the poop of a rabid horse if someone tells you that it will hurt an igbo person. I mean this literally not figuratively. If someone tells you that sitting your behind on a hot stove will harm an igbo person, you will gladly do it.

From your username to every single post you have ever posted on this forum, the tribalism bigotry and hate reeks. I’m also 100% certain that you don’t support the division of the country so that these people you despise so much can be away from you. Makes me question why.

I see you. I recognize your kind. Even a change in username can’t conceal your deep seething boiling hate. And no matter who “wins” the election, it won’t be enough for you. As long as you see an igbo person doing well, the bile in your heart will stir itself up again consuming you. You are the reason why you will never be happy. Keep Holding yourself bondage.

QuotaSystem:
What made it even easier to support Asiwaju as a core northerner, was the fact that he was unarguably the best candidate - by sheer capacity & track record of excellence in governance and leadership recruitment.

We hold the value of “Amana” (trust/loyalty) dear to our hearts generally as Northerners regardless of religion. Our brethren in the SW were also steadfast and loyal throughout this outgoing administration, helping obliterate deliberate anti-North propaganda and containing Igboho’s excesses which the ipob terrorists tried to latch on to. Together, we ensured the hate-mongering ipob terrorists leader Nnamdi Kanu was contained and quite effectively restrained.

I am glad that the North has demonstrated its selfless commitment to the unity and progress of this country beyond all doubt. We have humbled the naysayers that said it was impossible for Tinubu to win Northern votes alongside his own region. Indeed this is a victory for Nigeria.

A big thank you to the 12 Northern governors for insisting on power rotation to the South. Thanks also to candidates Kwankwaso and Obi without whom the defeat of Atiku would have been difficult if not impossible. Finally, thanks and congratulations to my fellow comrades on NL who remained thick-skinned, steadfast and focused till the end, amidst the barrage of insults and endless propaganda. Renewed hope has come.

Here’s to a peaceful, prosperous and absolutely fantastic new administration of the Lion of Bourdillon, the Jagaban of Borgu & Asiwaju of Lagos…

If you have a wife or girlfriend working with male colleagues, please be very vigilant. The rate at which women are sleeping with colleagues or even customers to their offices is alarming. Some even go as far as going to hotels and lie to their men about their condition and go ahead to commit the act.Men please be very vigilant. The worse women who do this are the ones who look quiet like they can't hurt a fly or even serious church goers and Muslim girls too.I have seen and I have been told by my friends what this women do even in the office.Trusting women this days is hard, be vigilant. The cheating and tag on men as not been smart is too much and it hurts me

Does the cognitive dissonance not stand out ? At least to you?

Fvck any girl you want but when it comes to marriage, find a virgin woman and marry. Only her deserves your love and devotion because she kept herself so she deserves to be kept.

Don't date a single mother. Don't even cross path with a single mother. She's operating under a different level of curse.

If they and their friendly insurgents don’t eliminate Nigeria from the face of the earth before then.
SmartPolician:
It's now beginning to make sense why Obi couldn't have won the election. He should just stay back in Labour Party and build the party.
For being able to achieve all this within 6 months in a party without structure, he has done an outstanding job.

He's young and should try again in 4 years. I trust Tinubu and Shettima - a terrible combination anyways - to totally finish off the country from where Buhari stopped. This will make Obi more popular.

Why don’t Yoruba form it’s own country?

You know? Away from everything and everyone else.
Yamiriflathead:

Although disappointing
Tinubu tried to hold Lagos with the figures he pulled so far. Lagos is the Capital of Southern Nigeria, so what were you expecting?
This was a fight between ibos+SS+woke yorubas against Tinubu supporters in Lagos who are mainly yorubas and maybe Hausas in Lagos.

I hope Tinubu and yorubas have learnt a bitter lesson from Lagos Elections not to befriend and feed a cub because it is homeless, hopeless, and dying. It will grow up and eat u up someday.

I'm happy yorubas can now sit down and ask qtns as to how they got everything wrong and redress it with BAT as President.

The take home from this defeat is..

Yorubas need to stop drafting non yorubas into the civil service and stop giving them prominent appointments. There are always technocrats who can always fit into any political office from the SW

Yorubas need to stop selling their lands to non yorubas in Lagos and SW

Yorubas need to stop giving out local government of origins to non yorubas in Lagos

Yorubas need to stop allowing non-yorubas contest for Elections in Lagos or SW

Yorubas need limit the numbers of voters registration of non yorubas going on in Lagos, they care so much about Lagos and don't care if their homes rot, Henceforth let them go home and vote. They can't come and dictate to you on how to govern urselves after creating an enabling environment for them to thrive.

Contain them politically, Period!

Congratulations to the incoming President of Nigeria BAT the ASIWAJU of Lagos for winning the most Free and fair Elections since our Nascent Democracy nothwitstanding

For real. After all he’s the father.
Let him put the title to good use.

The more women make dads care for the kids, the less they’ll complain when they only have to pay to support the kids.
pocohantas:
Then she should consider leaving them for him. grin I don’t like when women run off with kids they can’t provide for. SMs go through a lot raising kids on their own. A woman with a husband doesn’t find it easy, let alone SMs. That is why they have to compromise their ethics most times to stay above water. You see their daughters dating old men as early as 15 to bring home money. She is already in and she has to find the most pragmatic solution. Maybe go to his mother, since she is not in support of her son’s attitude.
Family › Re: Please Advise by cococandy(f): 1:18pm On Feb 25, 2023
The thing with going back to the man is that he may not want to care for the children if she’s not having sex with him. And we know how guys like these feel about using protection. “For the woman they married with their own money”. So going back might put her health in more danger.

Hello Nairalanders,

I'm need some form of advice.. It's not been easy talking about my personal experiences and i might not write on this platform anymore.

Words are not even enough to express all that I've been through, all you've been reading is only a simpler version of all that has happened but it's fine.

I used to think I could do it by myself.. raise my boys alone but right now I guess I lack the emotional backing to do so. I'm Lonely, I have no one to talk to .. no family friends to visit or hang out with asides my own family.

Days back my son was crying and all he was saying is "Daddy... Daddy..." it made me feel bad. He needs his Dad too and so does my unborn kid too.

While some would say "Cheating isn't enough to leave my home" I agree.. I've always forgiven him but it's unending. On two occasions he's infected me and claimed it wasn't him. I don't want to keep forgiving till he gets me infected with HIV.

Why am I writing now? I'm actually very Lonely, being a single mum isn't fun. I don't know how to go about this.. I'm not as strong as I had thought. I'm only 25 and it feels like my life is over already... How do I get over this, I need to be strong for my kids but it's not working. Are there activities I could engage in to help me get over this stage at least till I'm able to stand alone?

P.S: I called him so his son could talk to him but he was in a hotel with another woman (I'm not guessing)
