I've been meaning to ask. Who pays more?
Agency, private or govt?

Eg, here, council pay shit to nurses. Council nurses dont last. NHS, well, they are still fighting for increment. Private pays well. Really good especially care homes.
Agency pays a lot buy you will miss out some benefits that comes with working under a company or govt. Some prefer Agency.
There are elite hospitals that pay shocking money.
I know a lady that earn close to 10k a week in one private hospital. Show person way, she dey do shakara.
UK pays the least hence this strike.
Scotland pays higher and Wales pays highest.
What nurses do here is, get 36hours shift with NHS or (or work as Bank staff) council etc then liase with an agency and go down to Wales for better money.
It seems it’s similar here as well.

There aren’t many county/govt type hospitals here because we don’t really have universal healthcare. But the govt has hospitals for military personnel (The VA). they also pay similar to private hospitals. They have to pay relative to the cost of living and market competition in the area. And they have great benefits. people stay on the waitlist for years so they can get into the VA. That way even though they make the same money, they can get a good retirement.

Agency definitely pays more here as well. You provide your own benefits though. If you have a spouse whose job provides benefits for the family , agency is the perfect way to go. Mad money.

The elite hospitals here don’t really have any secret to them. They are that way because of the unions. And their pay is public data. You just have to be patient and keep applying until they employ you.

So pretty much the same

This. 100% this.

Because if they wanted, there are women who are interested in them who they’ll never give the time of day. They never focus on loving and appreciating their “good” women. They want the “bad” ones to turn around and become what they are not to please them.

Farfalla:
One word - Entitlement. 😂😂
They feel entitled to the affection of the woman they desire, but feel that the woman should forego her desires to accommodate them. What he wants should matter, but what you like should be swept under the carpet. When you fail to accommodate him in your life that's when the rage and the bitterness begins to creep in. The subtle threats of Shiloh, menopause, Isaiah 4:1, and lately the Paris lady (🤣) are all forms of manipulation meant to coerce unwilling women into picking and eventually mating with their undesirable selves.

A major Redpill tenet clearly advocates for men to stop pursuing uninterested women and go for those have a strong interest in them, but will they listen? No. They want to "follow their hearts" and pursue Nengi by force, and then get furious because she wants Mbappe. 🤣 I'm more of a redpiller than they are. Feeling entitled to another person's attention and affection will be the death of some of these men.

About this -- I respect your decision, so I'll not take it upon myself to try and talk you out of it. Or can I? 🙈

Literally your posts indict you. The second screenshot is you arguing with someone who told you travel RNs can make that much. Mind you he didn’t say all nurses. He said travel nurses and you felt the need to argue.

Or have you forgotten when you replied that wherever it is I’m referring to, that I’m lying. Bro take the L and move. You argued even against the so called outliers implying that it’s impossible.

🥴.
PoliteActivist:
Lol u funny, how many times have I emphasized that I was talking of what the vast majority of nurses make - the mean! You even asked me point blank if I was saying $110 was impossible. I replied you I was never saying that. it was always about what a nurse would expect to make in US, never some outlier that was never included on any government or job app salary range!
To refresh your memory, some past posts:

But I already told you we are NOT discussing outliers. I gave you an example of, say, a care aide working for a billionaire making $500K, but 99% of them make less than $20 per hour. That's what we are discussing - the mean. And they are all over the internet from different sources (see below) and they are all about the same
oh so we are not discussing outliers? That was entirely what the first post you responded to was about! I even asked you if you understood what you were posting was the average (aka mean).

Just take the L and move on

Even for Canada Nigerian nurses don't make $60kCAD. I fvck many of them with 200usd. They still beg me money from Nigeria here. I paid one $17kCAD to help my cousin get his papers. The girl almost collapsed. She get two kids now but still hustling me. Leave all these people
They even went on strike last year to ask for more

What you’re failing to understand is that nursing isn’t the same everywhere in the USA. And when I talk about a specific place, that’s not the time for you to remember one girlfriend you used to have in Texas and imagine their reality is the same with every single nurse in the country. There are literally a gazillion cities here and pay differs VASTLY

madam all una lie expires today. Many doctors self make less than $150k annually. You guys are at the bottom. Give up your illusions
This is last year from the Stanford union. Their new contract is most definitely going to be better.

In the same vein. Kaiser union just secured a 22% increase starting this year as well to span the life of their contract. After that they review and increase as needed. Their shift differential is $13/hr. So a new grad starting there at night shift will be around 72 + 13 per hour.

Please do the math since doctors don’t make that (side eye)

Staff nurse 1 is new nurse no experience starting at over $70/hr. Go down the list and see as it increases with experience. Add $10 for every NOC shift. So a new grad working nights starts at over $80/hr at Stanford.

The figures I mentioned specifically pertains to NorCal. Like I’ve been saying from my very first post. Not all of America. Is that enough for you or do you still think I’m lying?

Also I’m talking about staff RNs. Not NPs or CRNAs or Travel RNs

PoliteActivist:
With all due respect, now I can tell you emphatically you are lying, which I never said before. I told you before, these things are online, posted not only by the likes of Indeed, but by GOVERNMENT AGENCIES who have every last detail about these people's salaries.
Stop being lazy cheesy, stop relying on anecdotes, get off your a** and do some research! wink
The below is from US Bureau of Labour Statistics. I posted it after someone said traveling nurses make more than $110/hr!
Travel › Re: The Hype Of These Abroad People Is Making Some Of Us Feel Less Achieved by cococandy(f): 5:16pm On Mar 10, 2023
PoliteActivist:
You obviously haven't followed the thread closely. It turned out he was actually talking of Canadian dollars and nurse practioner (which is almost a doctor), and you are still here arguing it!
There’s actually nothing to argue.

The comment I made saying if he’s in NorCal then it’s true is valid because that’s attainable in NorCal by a good number of nurses not just a slim minority. So there’s no argument whatsoever pertaining to what I said. You responded to my comment as if to say I too I’m lying.

PoliteActivist:
Ok, so their base salary $51/hr on average (see below), then when you add travel allowance it jumps to $110/hr!!! Anyway what we are discussing is base salary.
$51/hr is still a whole lotsa dough. I can only imagine a poor nurse here in Naija reading this right now cheesy
Yes $51/hr is good money. However new nurses here start around $70+/hr and with experience can reach up to $123/hr if you add shift differentials or on call differential for those on call. But yes the base pay can totally be over $100/hr before adding anything extra.

No mention of overtime or double time yet for those who have energy.

Stop posting internet screenshots at me. It won’t change the facts of what I’m saying
Travel › Re: The Hype Of These Abroad People Is Making Some Of Us Feel Less Achieved by cococandy(f): 4:24pm On Mar 10, 2023
PoliteActivist:
That was never my argument and you know it. Do you know what mean is? I'm sure the health aide of some billionaire in NY probably clears more than $1m a year. That does not change the fact that 99% of home health aides in NYC make less than $20/hr. That's what mean is - the vast majority
The man said his colleagues make over $110 and you guys called him a liar. I told you that if they are in NorCal then he’s saying the truth and you called me a liar. Neither one of us said this was the norm for every nurse. Now you’re changing story. Are you so sure and want to bet on it?

If this, if that. You people forget we can easily look these things up online. Bureau of Labour Statistics (BLS) deals with these people's salaries directly and puts everything online. It is not like Nigeria where you are unsure
Do you know how averages work?

And is your argument that there is no RN (regular RN) who’s makes hourly pay that’s up to $110/hr? Is that your argument?

Hi Ma
Excuse me Sir.
I am a Nigeria trained Pharmacist. Fresh out of university.
I am 26 years of age. Single. Without dependent.
Can you help me to relocate or work for Walgreens Pharmacy chain stores(or any other multinational drug chain store), if they can file me a H1B visa? I recently learnt a lot of Pharmacists are resigning due to pressure work.

I will compensate you. Please i beg you
Also wanted to add that a lot of companies don’t file for work visas anymore. They have to prove that the labor they are sourcing overseas cannot be found within their communities. Sometimes that’s hard to do. So they might outsource manufacturing internationally or use remote workers but to hire you to a position where they’ll have to file for you to come over, that’s a bit harder.

@bold if I could do it for you, I would with no compensation whatsoever.

I’m also not the most knowledgeable about immigration issues so please ask around: someone might have a better answer for you. Wish you the very best of luck

Go to Walgreens dot com. Check the career section at the bottom of their page. See if there are any positions that allow for foreign sourced workers. Or preferably check their linked in or indeed and see if you can get access to any hiring manager’s email address and email them.
I’m not sure they employ international pharmacists. don’t want to tell you that it’s not doable, but it’s probably not as easy as it appears on paper. They are a huge company. probably required by whatever governing labor laws to make sure their labor is sourced from their communities. If you’re already living here, I don’t think it would be an issue

CRNAs make more than RNs sha. But California nurses are lucky because of the strong unions, the difference isn’t a lot and if they work a little overtime they can easily make up the difference.

But in most other states, RN might make much less than CRNAs. So a CRNA isn’t making regular RN pay

Though some may be boasting but to raise 250m in naira is not hard for a real estate investor in US.

I believe so much in real estate investment and my new focus is on smaller cities with good prospects.

A lot of guys in the States especially Anambra boys are into real estate and they flip homes all the time which is how some of them get legit money to oppress people back home. cheesy

Don't hit yourself too hard, save another 10k making your savings 20k, use it as down payment to buy a home in a small city near you. Don't buy single family home, buy multi family so you can easily rent it out.

The rent you collect will pay the monthly mortgage and still give you some change. Don't use first time home buyer credit because IRS will make you pay it back oo.

After paying the mortgage for two years, buy a second multi family home and grow from there.

Don't worry about the IRS and rental income taxes because you can write them off as expenses when you file your tax return.

The first move to escape low class in the States is to buy a home because paying mortgage is like putting money into your own bank unlike paying rent.

Shalom.
