last time I checked that code does not mean ECM, Bad,
it does not go out because it is a hard fault, not a soft one, check this website

Read the first comment, it listed a number of things, so you must test those first before changing the ECM, if not even if you change the ECM, the fault remains

They read with machine diagnostic and was told the problem has to do with immobilizer and the key but the rewire is trying to confuse me again by telling me it has entered code..

Your valves won't bend because it's a Toyota not a Honda, Hondas use what is called interference engines, the valves are longer than, that of Toyota.

Sorry to say it, but I have to, what you are saying makes no sense, (no pun intended, so don't be angry we learn everyday) you should describe the quantity and color of the smoke and where it is coming from, I mean is the smoke from the exhaust pipe? is the smoke white? if you are using coolant instead of ordinary water, do you perceive any sweet smelling scent or something from the exhaust, if yes then I think you might have a blown head gasket, well, I would like you (since the smoke is bizzare) to do a leak down test.

Before you start thinking of replacing the engine ,try to actually confirm by looking for a tech shop to perform compression test and leak down test to truly know if the cause is through a worn piston .If the issue is worn ring issue then u can start ur preparation for new engine

I think i had this close to this problem on my 2003 accord. Mine was even worst. Till today, am scared of changing gear oil.

if you want to avoid that problem, it is simple, the key is your owners manual, in it you will find the right oil and when you must change the ATF, you must treat your gearbox the way you treat your engine, you must use the right fluid, and change it at the right time, or mileage which ever comes first, if you don't, because of heat the oil will degrade as oils do, and will loose much of its viscosity and when the damage has been done it becomes a time bomb or a live grenade, that will explode, at any time, if you change the oil put your fingers into the old oil to feel for gritty particles if there are, then the box is toast. So the key is not allowing the damage first, if it happens, it is just a downward spiral

When you insert the key, Do you see any blinking light, or any key sign or immo written somewhere on the dashboard?
If no the ask your mechanic I check if one of the following is missing
1 Spark
2 Fuel
3 Compression
One must be missing, or that the engine is out of time or that the ECU is toast.

GAZZUZZ:
to do that he is suggesting changing to a carburetor, or just replacing the throttle body.

Changing the throttle body will not solve anything, car will still not rev, changing to a carb, will require a lot of modifications, and car will not be the same after that.

My advice, search for the entire engine harness (wiring) from a scrap car and replace with yours that has been burnt, presently there is no communication between the engine ecu and the throttle body, or you have the wrong engine ecu installed.

okay sometimes it cuts as a result of age, or that your Fuel pump motor was drawing excess current, when last did you change the fuel filter, it may be clogged causing the pump motor to work extra hard, or that the pump motor is on its way out.

One of them said the car needed spiritual healing and I said no andi believed it was a vacuum leak, and he should do this and that to make sure it is a leak, using the scan tool, the procedure takes less than 1 minute, then if it is not, move on to something else, that is how they decided to devour me, as if they need to kill an elephant first for it.
