FamilyRe: I Am 27, She Is 20. Can I Wait For Her? by CoCoLav(f): 7:05am On Mar 22, 2015
Well, its not about whether you can wait but whether she is worth the wait. Girls change in school a lot so why not ask her If you should wait for her. If she is honest she will answer you truthfully.

LOL!!!

This is definitely Moremi Hall Unilag!!

Oh my days! This stuff was a lifesaver because even late at night when shops had closed you could still get stuffs to buy. Buying recharge cards was easier and more convenient than going out.

I sold Indomie in my room for the fun of it cos all my roommates were selling something. I had to stop when a porter threatened to report me to my parents. I made a lot of gain though and it was fun while it lasted. grin grin

@26 a lady already knows what she wants for her future and its difficult to change that. If her vision doesn't align with yours then you should let her go. You don't just need a wife, you need a partner...a partner that shares your dreams and vision. Even though your post came off as 'mechanical' as a poster above said, i must commend you for thinking witg your head and not with your emotions.

I however do not see the reason for the 4 year thingy. If you are gonna take the plunge....take it and hope for thebest. The 4-year plan you propose isnt plausible because as soon as the first step is taken, theres gonna be a lot of family pressure where you just might be faced with an ultimatum.

If you have serious doubts, its better you let her go so nobody's time is wasted. She aint getting any younger.
FamilyRe: Rude Awakening: I Am Not My Husband's Next Of Kin And Beneficiary!! by CoCoLav(f): 9:36am On Mar 18, 2015
How educated is your husband? Does he know the implications of not including you as his next of kin? If you feel he might not understand the implications then you can talk to him.

But if you know and are fully convinced that he knows what he is doing after all no one else can know your husband better than you then I suggest you start planning your future because he obviously trusts his brother more than you.
FamilyRe: When You Are Older Than Your Dad/ Mum's Brother/ Sister by CoCoLav(f): 7:22am On Mar 18, 2015
I and my 'uncle' used to fight over it all the time. We were the same age but I never referred to him as 'uncle' instead I called him my brother till he died. It was always fun arguing about it and taking the issue to my grandpa.

No now...this is wrong. This is very wrong. Do you know what it feels like to be barren....the anguish and the pain??

Who are you to call a woman barren??

That statement is very unfair and may God forgive you.

cc cocolav.

Maybe you can chip in a word or two.

@safarigirl,

I clearly understand how you feel, but as time goes by you will get to appreciate law as a course. it is never easy considering the volume of work one has to read but trust me it will be well worth it in the end.

hope this helps.
Ermm...I saw this thread and I was about to advice her until I saw she was in 200L. I thought she was in 300/400L and I know that's when you suddenly get overwhelmed and fed up but 200L means she hasn't seen half of it, there's more coming.

Safarigirl I think you can transfer depending on your school. I had coursemates who transferred to other departments and its kind of easier for law students to transfer. This advice should only be taken when you are really sure you can't deal anymore otherwise continue and have law as a plan b.

I am an introvert too but I never ever thought of changing courses even though I only took law to run away from maths. Its quite interesting to me and I find it challenging. Even though I am not really outspoken and can't address crowds, once I am in the courtroom I feel at home and i feel like I was born to do this. I maintain eye contact with the judge and this is me that can't maintain eye contact with a guy outside the courtroom.

So what am I saying... evaluate your reasons, this is Nigeria...you will need to survive and be independent. Can this passion of yours sustain you in the next few years? Can you support your husband and build a young family as a rapper?(Not many men like their women going from one gig to the other, sometimes you will be out of town...who will take care of your kids?) I always believe that every woman needs a career.

Unfortunately, I am quite old school and I don't believe in advising my child to pursue a career in his hobbies (like drawing, dancing....rapping). You can draw as an aside but you must have a career to fall back on. I used to dance but then I got serious and faced the Nigerian reality. The society doesn't really support that. It can't pay my bills...maybe in more developed countries but not Nigeria.

I think you should try to finish but have law as a Plan B.

themonk:
when the bank pays pays for some security operatives, usually police. you cant move them from their operating point to make security tighter for a visiting president. The bank has already paid them. Moreover do u think its better the president is killed than a bank robbedhuh...i share regret with the lost lives but you should understand that losing a president would even lead to losing more lives and money..if GEJ should come to lagos again more security operatives should be allocated to him. Unfortunately if u can't see fashola is playing propaganda politics then its sad..that is assuming u are not baised.
Loool @ the bolded.
Its called illegal duty
So they shouldn't even be there in the first place.
Its usually a private arrangement between the DPO and the head of security of the bank.

at second bolded, are you for real? When Abacha died how much did you lose? So you feel that if GEJ comes to Lagos again more police men should be detailed to him? what happened to the security aides he has around him? so you feel it is better the citizenry remains unprotected than for the president to be harmed? really? a good leader is ready to lay down his life for his followers. You need to know about leadership and the qualities of a good leader. We chose him and as such our security should be his priority.

@ third bolded, I am not biased, I don't even belong to any political party and if you cannot see that what Fashola said is simple common sense that can be deduced by a right thinking individual then....
PoliticsRe: Fashola Blames Jonathan For Lekki-ikoyi Robbery by CoCoLav(f): 1:59pm On Mar 13, 2015
It is very annoying reading certain kinds of comments from supposedly educated people. How anyone can think Fashola is wrong and playing politics is beyond me. As a poster said above, it is simple common sense! the number of policemen drafted to the IG alone when he comes around is over 100 and they must remain on the road till he passes. Now compare this with the president. Obviously, whichever policemen are on duty would be inadequate. Usually, banks pay policemen on a weekly basis to guard their banks....the number of policemen could range from 5 to 10. I am sure they were not available on that day because of the president's visit.

Yes. So sorry about what happened and I am happy you have learnt. It takes a lot to be disciplined and you need to study your work environment and know the rules. You could have also used your phone.

It is well, the doors of opportunity are open...you could turn this into a blessing in disguise. Dust your CV and open your GMAT.

Welcome to the thread.

If I tell you what this stup.id airline did to me ehn!
I can never advise my enemy to fly discovery airline. They are a bunch of sick psychos, infact they are a huge joke!

At least they even informed you that your flight has been cancelled, they didn't inform me! I got to the airport and they shrugged like it wasn't a big deal. The other one was like 'Mariam, shey you no send the text message ni, and the Mariam responded...I no sure ooo." Like WTF!
FamilyRe: 10 Signs The Man Wooing You Has Another Woman/ May Be Married by CoCoLav(f): 2:23pm On Mar 11, 2015
OP you are sooooo right.
So so right
Over right infact
But sometimes you need proof even when you know it
You can't tell them 'your gut feeling tells you they are married'.
You need evidence so you won't be accused of being paranoid and acting based on suspicions. So you won't live your life wondering if you judged wrongly or acted too quick.
Wait it out and gather your evidence then hit him with it.
This is why women need to work together so we can beat them at their own game.
