Of course, courtship is about observing your future spouse...that's the whole essence of courtship but you cant base a woman's managerial capabilities on her refusal to wash your clothes. My point is, if she decides to do it voluntarily...fine but you should not insist like it is your right and conclude she is not a wife material just because she refused to wash your clothes, I find this really amusing.

There are more important qualities to look out for in a partner btw. Of what use is a woman who would not give you peace but washes your clothes every day?

The reason why I am not comfortable with my gf washing my clothes is because she has offered to do it without me pestering her. Since she could ordinarily show the willingness to do it, I know iam not going to have any problem with her in that area when I marry her. However, in ur own case, proving to me that you cannot wash my clothe, giving reason as to why you cannot do it, we will not fight, but am recording ur actions for final verdict - whether I can marry u or not. To me, I feel it is a natural thing for a woman to keep the home in good shape, which includes her bf/hubby clothes.

Washing a man's cloth is not a duty, if I am washing mine and I ask him to bring his own out of the kindness of my heart...that's better but not for him to insist I wash his clothes. What the hell is that?

OP you should cook for him though and try to keep his house neat. Most men are bad at housekeeping and you should try to help out.
