That's not luck , it's what the team has worked on in training, the better team won today

I'm sure if Nigeria had lost you will blame the coach
U:S could have scored at least 3 goals...

It was luck and good defending from the defenders..

From now on, we have an easy ride till the final. This is the biggest opponent any team can face, and we survived it through.

Man, we have a long way to go in instilling basic footie intelligence in most of our players
It's not football intelligence they need it's football selflessness they need and not holding on to the ball for long.

Like it was so obvious.

We allowed them too much space.

We should have just played from the back. Leave Ajakaye and Bello up front. The US are deficient defensively and we would have taken advantage of that.

It was even more ridiculous cause it would take more time for us to rearrange defensively cause of the nature of the pitch.

Instead we would sometimes have just 2 players at the back. Let's hope for a better second half
Ajakaye is looking tired already... and we are not creating chances like the previous matches... hopefully they score because its looking as if we won't score from open play... I hope they prove me wrong...

According to u Whatever black South Africans have suffered is outside their continent so they deserve injustice?
we are talking about black americans and now you want to switch to South Africans...

Black South Africans were and are not the aggressors and unfortunately they couldn't overpower their aggressors probably due to traitors amongst them and they resorted to protests and got their lives back and independence...

Igbos were already independent and president of the country but killed the leaders and civilians of other tribes and that led to war..

don't compare Igbos and other black nations...

Igbos were the aggressors...
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by codemaniacs: 2:56pm On Oct 21, 2022
I have said it before... Nigerian coaches don't know how to "pack the bus"...

and from what I'm seeing its because they don't know how to use and play to formations... Its as if they just told them to go and play football...

sometimes only 1 defender at the back or 2 defenders..

when we were leading we should have changed to a back 5 or 5 defenders I mean central defenders or at worst 4 defenders some midfielders should have dropped to defense..

whatever Igbos have suffered in Nigeria is mostly outside their region and they are and were the aggressors...

Since they are educated then they should use their education to uplift that empty space..

A hostel is a place where you lodge.. it's not compulsory they use the place or lodge there. They can rent an apartment.

Lead City University isn't strict about staying in hostel.

It is really annoying when revisionist historians try to underplay the contributions of the good, accommodating and illustrious nature of the Yoruba people to the success of the Lagos we all know now.

For those who try to claim that the Igbos or the FCT status of Lagos is largely what made Lagos what it is today, you need to study the Lagos history for better understanding.

Lagos was forcefully under threat of violence, made a British colony on 5 March 1862. By 1872, Lagos was a cosmopolitan trading center and between 1890 and 1897 it had established a protectorate over most of Yorubaland.

Colonial Lagos developed into a busy, cosmopolitan port, with an architecture that blended Victorian and Brazilian styles. The Brazilian element was imparted by skilled builders and masons who had returned from Brazil. The black elite was composed of English-speaking "Saros" from Sierra Leone and other emancipated slaves who had been repatriated from Brazil and Cuba. By 1872, the population of the colony was over 60,000, of whom less than 100 were of European origin. In 1876, imports were valued at £476,813 and exports at £619,260. This is more than 30 years begore the amalgamation that became Nigeria.

By contrast the revenue from the Southern Protectorate which covered Oil Rivers area in present day Nigeria, the Aro Confederacy, Kingdoms of Benin and Bonny and Akwa Akpa (modern Calabar) and Oron Nation by 1900 was £535,902. Revenue from Northern protectorate was even worse a d it is clear the amalgamation was done to fund the poor Northern protectorate from the prosperous South, from which the Lagos Colony clearly stood out.

While Lagos has the fortune of being along the coast, that distinction is not limited to Lagos within Nigeria. But the accommodating and illustrious nature of its Yoruba people contributed largely to what it has become. The ease of doing business in Lagos, the non-discrimination and welcoming attitude of the Yoruba people cannot be overlooked or over
emphasized.
hundreds of years before the british invasion of Lagos It was already a cosmopolitan trading center...

It was where other African ethnic nations came to trade with the Yorubas and it was called farm ( oko ) by Yorubas but it was also heavily guarded so it was also called a war camp ( Eko )..

which is also one of the reasons the british brought slaves from Brazil, Cuba, Siera leone e.t.c. when they got control of a portion of one of the Islands because they couldn't capture the Yorubas there since they were at war with the Yorubas and Benin Republic did not exist then so they were also fighting Yorubas from present day Benin Republic..

the "revisionist historians" will never ever give credit to the Yorubas.. so keep correcting them without getting annoyed.. from the likes of Abike Dabiri, Remi Tinubu e.t.c.. Yoruba elites and business owners are taking note of them and that's one of the reasons there's high unemployment rate of non-yorubas in the SW because it is not wise to hire people who hate you unfortunately they start saying there's unemployment in Nigeria when the truth is there's unemployment of non-indigenes in the SW..

the only thing that's helping them is they also have their own states and senators and business people so those people can create opportunities for them in businesses they own in Lagos..

what they fail to also understand is Yorubas also have at least 6 states and these Yoruba states also have Yoruba senators and Yoruba business people who also have businesses in Lagos which ensures that non-yorubas can never ever have more investments than Yorubas in the SW especially Lagos and also the generational wealth of the Yorubas from 1800s till date is un-matched.. Don't forget Yorubas in the diaspora who also send money back and have been sending money since the 1900s when there was no university in Nigeria..

In summary,
most non-Yorubas in the SW are going to be reduced to doing menial jobs and other low paying jobs that's if they are not already doing such jobs... especially the ones whose rich people or politicians don't have businesses in the SW.

The comment abike made is similar to a white Womam, who is appointed by Joe Biden, who a Black troll insulted on social media, so she decides to say. He should be lucky he isn’t in jail, fro drugs and gangs crime. That no wonder they are on death row in jails all over America.

Let a white government official tweet this on her official twitter handle to a black person, she won’t just resign and apologise Black Lives Matter would rain down.

But in Africa they would be telling u it’s your fault y did u provoke her.
Black Americans have been maltreated in the U:S for over 400 years and have been victims of racial killings..

Igbos have never been maltreated in their region and have never been victims of tribal killings in their region.

If Igbos are been maltreated then they have their region to run to.. Black Americans have no region to run to..

don't compare black Americans with Igbos..

Is it not stupidity? How is calling him/her Ode an act of self defense? There is a legitimate place for such and it's the court of competent jurisdiction. She is a public figure. I am happy that all the Yorubas I have encountered are reasoning like you. In this 21st century, you think that calling him ode is an act of self defense.
It is a verbal abuse.. she defended herself verbally by responding to the person.. it is verbal self defense...

Its also called an eye for an eye...

Nury Martinez was an elected member of Los Angeles city council and the former head. What it took her to resign was a racist comment, where she said a white member of the council that had a black son was with the blacks. She didn’t just resign she had to apologise.

But in Nigeria they would tell u it’s not Nury Martinez fault it’s the fault of the white man for having a black son when he is white, that what is he expecting.

Now u see why Nigeria is just going in cycles. What is the relationship between someone tagging her a mumu and she saying what the entire Nigerians in Indonesia are doing is drug trafficking and cultism?
Firstly, U:S is not Nigeria especially in terms of geography.. In U:S You can't say what the L.A woman said and not apologize because unlike the U:S:A where black people where enslaved all over the country, while Nigeria is a geographical location where different ethnic nations or tribes have their own indigenous lands and space so you can rightly say someone like Akered:olu who has an Igbo wife is working for the Igbos because Igbos are not indigenes of the SW.

In summary.
In the U:S, black americans are indigenes of the whole of the U:S so that makes what that L.A woman said extremely racist...
