By the time Bayern beat Barcelona, Bayern Munich had made loads of tactical adjustments to get to par with Barcelona. That was why they got Hynckes who used to coach Real Madrid and understood the tactical setup of Barcelona. It took months of intense study after Barcelona earlier blew Bayern Munich to pieces which led to the sacking of Jurgen Klinsmann. This also led to Bayern Munich making tactical changes to their system from the grassroots. Even after Hynckes, they still got Guardiola to continue the tactical revolution of the team.

So, trying to play down tactics is off. The Bayern team you are using has made a lot of growth with respect to tactics by that time.

That France team there were tactical novices to the modern way of playing and would be destroyed by the Spanish side.

I am using the right game and it wasn't Bayern tactical adjustments that made them to be better than Barcelona.. it was the entire German football tactical adjustments that made Bayern better because Germany went on to win the world cup.

Just like the Liverpool vs Crystal Palace match if Crystal Palace had better finishers they would have torn Liverpool apart..

In summary,
A possession based team cannot beat a counter attacking team with prolific finishers. It will be a massacre.

Football is about goals not just tactics.

A possession based prime Barcelona was annihilated by a goal scoring Bayern Munich the year it was an all German UCL final.

That Barcelona will have 68% possession while the opposition will have 22% and the opposition will win by 4 goals.

Even recently goal scoring Bayern beat Barcelona by 8 goals.

Infact don't ever compare football team A of 2018 to the same football team A of 2022... In football 4 years is a lot of time..

that same Spanish team got thrashed by Holland and Chile in 2014 world cup and didn't make it out of the group stage...

that's one of the reasons Super Eagles missing this years Qata:r 2022 is very bad because by 2026 most of the current players will be 4 years older and may not be as effective as they are now while some of them will be more effective... but by 2026 Super Eagles will have new players to pick from..

On a positive note though, we seem to be doing well defensively. But for the early mistake by the goalkeeper, we probably will be going into the knockout stages with a clean sheet.

We however need to work on our offense. We are not as lethal as we have the potential to be.

Hopefully, Holland doesn't destroy the defense and the goalkeeper..

This your mentality is one of the reasons Super Eagles failed to qualify for the world cup. Just because someone is young does not mean they are not ready for the team.

That's not been physical that's mis-timing a tackle or making a late tackle. The same thing can also occur if a player jumps to head the ball and lands on the opposition player foot. In most cases it's an accidental tackle but for FIFA and the referees it's a red or yellow card tackle.

Poor neglect by govt has kept ports in the eastern region almost non functional while those in Lagos remain congested.

I believe this team is much more talented than to rely on just 1 or 2 players. Ayinde and Ajibade will be missed no doubt but I still think we have capable replacements for them.
Okoronkwo to replace Ajibade on the wing with Tony Payne completing the Midfield with Ucheibe(B2B) and Otu(DM).
Kanu as the CF and Oshoala on the wing. Pat or Nicole to replace Tony or we can go with Ebi (where is Zogg?), Ashleigh,Ohale and Alozie.

Only person that can replace Ajibade on RW is the person that was playing RB so a new RB is needed.

Kanu is 3rd choice after Oshoala and Onumonu.. a pacy striker that can finish is needed.

Oshoala, Onumonu won't miss the chances Gift Monday was missing against Zambia. Kanu missed a chance in front of a GK if not she'll have been my 2nd choice.

A fit Oshoala is our Messi.

They're the hosts and Sweden didn't take their early chances or even park the bus.

The match especially 1st half was too free as Sweden will be with the ball attacking then 3 seconds later England is counter attacking then another 4 seconds later Sweden is counter attacking.

If England plays like that against any of the 4 African teams probably except Morocco they will concede..

South Africa will score 2 goals in 2 minutes and England will have lost motivation.

With Ayinde and Ajibade likely to miss the first 2 world cup matches it will be difficult for any Coach who takes the team to the world cup to qualify out of the group stage.

Waldrum main issue was having a clinical Striker and playing Gift Monday as a main Striker was a mistake especially when Kanu and Onumonu were on the pitch unless he was just testing.

Another issue was Striker management. Oshoala was just recovering from one injury and would have been better as an early 2nd half sub.

Another issue is the defenders playing unnecessary long balls to strikers and losing possession instead of passing.

The goals SF conceded were the GK fault so another keeper needs to be scouted and Nnadozie needs to improve.
