Our case in Nigeria is like handing a garden to an elephant to manage. An elephant that normally munches whole tree.

Or using N5000 to slimfit an Okrika shirt of N1500.

FoolishBoy419:
Spot on sir. To be honest, I never really cared about what Hamas did on October 7th, mostly because Israel has been bombing, killing, illegally jailing, and deliberately displacing Palestinians for decades while mainstream media portrayed the victims as mere terrorists. I accepted that it was wrong, but it felt like an inevitable reaction that even I would probably have done. Many of these Hamas fighters have lost their parents, best friends, wives, etc to Israel's criminality. The October attack was a perfect excuse to unleash their cowardly airstrikes on Palestinians.
those reactions you are presenting as isolated action or aggression are well deserved response.

Seun:
Nobody has offered them a two state solution in decades. Netanyahu instigated the murder of a PM who wanted to offer it to them. And he was blamed for it, yet just 3 years later after a terrorist attack, they voted him in. Netanyahu has admitted that he is against the establishment of a Palestinian State. So it is disingenuous to suggest that it's the Palestinians who don't want it.

Both sides believe that the whole land belongs to them. Both sides would like to push the other side out. Israel wants to push Palestinians into neighbouring Arab countries. Palestinians want Jews to return to Europe and America "where they came from". This is not an issue of picking sides.
the Arabs want more than land. All over Europe, the Jews are persecuted and that pushes them to where exactly? Israel off course. Elimination of Jews from the surface of the earth is the goal here and not some land alone.
Follow the events close and you will quickly see the arabs are the ones after elimination of the other side.

Quintessence44:
The problem is YOU.

Get rid of your inferiority complex.

When you feel inferior, you will only see the bad things in Africa and the black world.

The minute you rid yourself of racial inferiority complex, you will start to see the things that MILLIONS of FOREIGNERS who visit and settle in Africa and the black world every year, see in us, from our food to our culture, to our hospitality, to our vibrant cities, picturesque rural regions, fast-growing economies with vast opportunities for business and investment, to our music and film industries exploding in popularity across the world.
feeling inferior is different from being it. You just consoling yourself. The GDP of 220m people is less than one of the 52 USA states. Not producing yet celebrating as if we have it better.

And how exactly does this monumental steel and concrete edifice do either of the things you mention? All I see here is a gigantic white elephant that will suck down even more public revenues for years to come, right up until it ends up derelict or eventually demolished, as is the typical fate of all such projects. The building will need constant maintenance of its roofing, electrical wiring and plumbing, it will need security guards to prevent thieves from breaking in and ripping out everything they can possibly sell, it will need to be covered by insurance, it will need to have electricity bills paid ... I could go on nearly ad infinitum. If renting it out to the usual "prosperity gospel" charlatan "prophets" would be enough for all of these costs to be covered, wouldn't private entrepreneurs already have stepped into the breach by funding the construction of such buildings without government intervention?

This gigantic albatross reminds me of the Yamoussoukro monstrosity built by Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Ivory Coast some years back. It's just another pointless money pit whose primary purpose is to allow large-scale embezzlement of funds while fooling a bunch of gullible Africans who mistake big, shiny buildings for a leader supposedly "working", as if buildings by themselves ever cured malaria, educated anyone or provided paved roads and potable water.

Thanks to quantum mechanics , the past is only nearly impossible to alter, which is still good enough that we should concentrate mostly on the way forward. In this regard, I propose Nigeria mandate no higher qualification obtained in any West Africa, and select Africa Nations, is acceptable in Nigeria. This should simplify things and if they retaliate then so be it.
So there are no Intl students in LASU or what is the poin acting if retaliation is possible and favours our more developed neighbors.

LASU issues can be throughly investigated and culprits brought to book but not so for this university outside the shore of Nigeria.
Moreover some universities within Nigeria were also affected.
Please make rational comments free of bias.
and the govt of Benin cannot truly investigate and bring culprits to book right? Or it isnt possible for a Benin citizen to graduate from LASU and go back t Benin.

Kindly go and die of your foolishness Mr man and stop disturbing me.

It's not a double standard whatever. In LASU's case, further investigations should be done and the suspects in charge of the reported crimes should be arrested and prosecuted. Do you expect the Nigerian government to enter into Benin Republic and start arresting/prosecuting the suspects?
Lagos govt is different from Nigeria's govt.

LASU was bursted doing same thing these Cotonou universities do
but Nigerians were silent and govt didn't blacklist them.

Why the double standard? Can we compare the end product of our educational system - Nigerian society, to Benin republic own? The log of wood in our eyes is clearly magnifying the speck in other nation's.
