Funny thing is when they recover this money. It will go through the normal sharing system of targeting the poorest of the poor, and that means Zamfara, Kano and Katsina will get lion share while all the akpos in Warri will be looking helplessly.

This is why I support revolution on a village by village basis.

I hope it isn't some kind of electronically created money that involves only few keystrokes.
Politics › Re: Amotekun Is To Report To Police Before Going To Bush For Arrest Of Herdsmen by CodeTemplar:
If true then that's a nonsense move. Police that will tell you they have no fuel. That means herdsmen will finish the job and be in a position to deny if ever called to answer for crimes.
Does sharia report to police too before destroying people's properties?

Rugaria:
Even at that , at 2.1 billion per kilometer, this is far above the 238 million per kilometer as stated by the world bank..
Let's not do violence to facts here; this very contract is outrageously alarming! This is not an APC vs PDP issue. This is indefensible!
This project is nothing but a monument to kleptomania..
It outrageous and I agree but the writer either tried to be smart or was careless.
Politics › Re: At 797 Billion, Abuja-kaduna-zaria Road Contract Is The Costliest In History by CodeTemplar: 8:35pm On Mar 09, 2021

“ Interestingly, and also in 2013, a similar contract was awarded for the 1,028km Lagos-Abidjan road project and the Economic Community of West African Countries (ECOWAS) estimated this project to cost between N167 billion and N240 billion.
“At the projected maximum cost of N240 billion, the cost of the ECOWAS road per km will be N234 million whereas the six-lane Expressway road contract awarded by the Federal Government at N167 billion cost will be N1.3 billion per kilometer.
“In other words, the number of kilometers to be covered by the ECOWAS project is eight times higher than Nigeria’s Lagos-Ibadan Express road project; and the cost per kilometer is far lower than that of Nigeria.

This part of the analysis is exaggerated. The naira has lost a lot of value between 2014 and now(2021) and that would make the figure better expressed in a more stable currency like dollar. at N170 to a USD in 2014, that N240 billion was about $1.5bn and therefore around $700bn plus in 2021 value.
I love the concept of project cost comparison to expose inflation of contract and corruption but not the way it is being done here.

Politics › Re: Cattle Rearing: Lagos Butchers Seek 50,000 Hectares Of Land For Ranching by CodeTemplar: 10:55am On Mar 08, 2021
Charmingrascal:
To all those who don't understand this news.
Butchers are not Fulani herdsmen they are mostly Yorubas and if the government can provide land for ranching for them I think it will bebetter. That will encourage them to go into the cattle rearing enterprise instead of waiting for Fulani to come supply us cattle.

Depending solely on Foolanis for cows is what has led us to where we are today in Southern Nigeria where Fulani are killing our people all under the guise of herding cows.

However I doubt if Lagos can make available 50,000 hectares of land considering the fact that Lagos is compressed and it is resting on the ocean.

If the idea is finally achieved Foolanis should not be allowed in the ranch.

God bless Southern Nigeria
They can adopt Lake rice pattern. One big umbrella entity housing various ranches, either as units within the entity or private ranches is safer for Benue, plateau and Kaduna youths than having to wake up in the middle of the night to gun shots and dead bodies.

malcom1X:
Maybe Lagos has 50,000 hectares to give.
They can follow the Lake Rice pattern. I am sure Benue, southern Kaduna and Plateau folks will prefer to be employed by one mega organisation that cannot be overrun by a few hundred Fulani herdsmen and a handful of supporting army officers than to endure bodily rape and killings from futa jalon investors.
Politics › Re: Cattle Rearing: Lagos Butchers Seek 50,000 Hectares Of Land For Ranching by CodeTemplar: 10:43am On Mar 08, 2021
Yes. This is the way to go. Why bring in foreign investors from futa jalon that will not pay taxes, destroy crops and rape land owners? Empower your own folks, give them land, fertilizer for animal feed, support taxing in any way and let them produce things locally. This is how to play politics.

Almajiri is a name for the pool of available young mind that can be picked up, molded into any thing desirable. An almajiri can grow up to become a cattleless herdsman, an outright terrorist, or the next Dangote.

Travel › Re: Nigerians In USA, Do You Save More Than N15 Million Yearly? by CodeTemplar: 3:55pm On Mar 07, 2021
MrGoood:
I am a businessman and the thing is I am in for money in any choice I make. I made around 22 million in savings last year. Though I cut family and girlfriends off my life to achieve that and am in Nigeria.

But seeing the doings of people outside The country, there was an America based lady that spent over 12 million naira on her mother's burial. For her to spend that much I believe she will have 20x of that amount.

At least for an upright thinking fellow, I feel like am making less so am thinking of relocating. Can I make over 22 million yearly in savings in USA, If no how much can I save? Talk from your personal experience pls, Let stop deceiving each other pls, How much did you save annually in USA? Please let be sincere.
That assumption in bold is cataclysmic at best. The idea of gauging a persons net worth from how they spend has proven a disastrous one over ages.
By the way, That 22m saved would have been like N9m if not for Buhari's economics.
