Buhari and his goons in power be simulating a drought. In the bible when there was shortage of food and essential goods, it was recorded that "money faileth". Our own case isn't that. We have money, there are willing sellers across the border but the two key to buying from across borders: border access and forex to facility exchange of the goods, have been largely inaccessible. This is an artificial drought orchestrated by northerners with Buhari's full support.

You food blockade is a total failure. Whenever refineries are down, people import fuel, can we do same too for food. After all the govt is at liberty to fix forex rate. Your Buhari won't do that. You guys failed woefully.

Politics › Re: North Food Blockage To SW: Reno Has This To Say Pics by CodeTemplar:
The northern food blockage is a vague phrase to me. Anybody anywhere can refuse to sell his or her produce. What I see as the real blockage is that of border and forex. I can buy Tomatoes corned beaf, and vegetable oil from anywhere in the world once I have my money.

NORTHERNERS LOST THE WAR DURING THE FOOD BLOCKADE BY NORTHERN FARMERS:
— In Kaduna : A "waste bin" basket of tomatoes crashed from 8K to N150. Yet no buyers. [PunchNg]
— In Kano (Gun-Dutse): bag of Onions frm N35k to N7k. [DailyTrust]
— In Minna(Garatu) : Kwarai of feet size yam tubers from 45k to 18k
— In Jos (Barkin Ladi, Anpam West ), bag of arish potatoes from N17K to N9k. [UnityFm Jos]
— In Kano : farmers went to d extent of unsuccessfully trying to use the airport to move food down south. [Nairaland]
—In Abuja : the DSS was inviting herders to settle the issue (DailyTrust).
— In Bauchi (Til De Fulani) , farmers were promoting unity (North & South)
—On some media, Millions were lost to food transported to other countries frm North.
At the end, the Northerners who singlehandedly declared the blockade, called it off.
They gloriously lost the war!
They need us more than we need them.
We can survive without them, but they can’t survive
without us!
This is time to move up north, buy as much farm produce and store them against their fake region (re-)opening or become an intranational smuggler along regional lines.

For now, they lose n we move.
Politics › Re: Blockage Of Food Supply Exposes The Poverty Is The West. by CodeTemplar: 10:05am On Mar 03, 2021
Amaechi2023:
just until recently the Western people are now being shown their place in the Nigeria heirachy.

over the years they've relied massively on media propaganda to sell their imaginary wealth and importance to the Nigeria people.

when the northerner's started the blockage of food supply, one of yoruba urchins and media propaganda warlords FFK quickly came out to claim a United south claiming the south would stop oil and fuel supply to the north.

since when did the Western part of the country start producing oil??

I was expecting the westerners to come up and claim they would stop the supply of red pepper and ewedu which is their greatest assets but no they couldn't.
all of a sudden the Easter/Niger delta region which they so much hate has now become one south because of looming hunger.

untill now the west has not been able to come up with one single assets as a bragging right that they can use in holding the north to ransoms.
rather they are all over the forum littering the place telling their supposed hausa enemies how they would lose woefully if they refuse to sell to them.
since when did our supposed enemies start giving us advise?
why are they more concerned about the life of abokis they are looting their goods everyday??

as no food truck going to the west from the north, their agberos have become more hungry as no vehicle to hold on the highway and collect task from. hunger is gradually bitting in the the west land and as usual they have upped their media propaganda to a whole new level.
imagine a poster this morning claiming the west has decided to stop gworo supply to the north.
lol..

I mean of all things gworo(kolanut) is what the west is bragging about.
something the north also export is what these people are bragging about..

I say again if the north decides to succeed from Nigeria with their foods, the south east and south south also decided to cut off their oil production to the west, what would the west cut of from other region apart from media lies and propaganda??
As long as I pay for a thing, it can come from anywhere in the world. Let Buhari open the border and release forex. Oil prices have improved.
Politics › Re: We Would Rather Lose Goods — Northern Traders Adamant As Boycott Hurts Both Side by CodeTemplar: 10:02am On Mar 03, 2021

For Kano, it was reported that rampant cases of kidnapping and attack by the cattle rearers across the country contributed to the high price of food items across the state. Many of the traders that spoke with the Nigerian Tribune said they were afraid of travelling outside the state capital, while most farmers have allegedly abandoned their farm for fear of being attacked or kidnapped. The development made the cost of food items to rise in the state.
What is Buhari doing about this part? Herdsmen destroying farmers crop just to frustrate the crop supply chain and accelerate their push for some amnesty. If Buhari isn't in support of their actions what is he doing on it?
Politics › Re: We Would Rather Lose Goods — Northern Traders Adamant As Boycott Hurts Both Side by CodeTemplar: 9:40am On Mar 03, 2021
I can always get supplies elsewhere. The seller who allows his goods to rot loses more as I can always pay another seller with my money. Buhari shouldn't strangle forex supplies o. I heard oil prices have picked up.

From the comments above, I can tell over 90% are still being fed at home.

Real bread winners know whatsup in prices of foodstuff in the markets especially Lagos.

Imagine N200 Suya now sold for 2k and clowns feeding from mummy's pot talking nonsense. undecided
All these can happen because some head slmmers are hoarding dollar forex that can facilitate purchase from foreign traders as well as border blockade.

No one should fault decision by our farmers and transporters who decide not to move food to the south. This is the most civilized response to sundry provocations.

Certainly better than retaliations against innocent people.Northerners feel the pinch too, but it is worth it.

Respect the Arewa!!

All you have done in the past one year is to burn down the Northern markets in the Southeast, slaughter the Cows and their herders, burn down Mosques and every Quran in it, chase the North away and take over their Properties.

You killed Northerners in Abia, did we retaliate? NO

You killed Northerners in Imo, Did we return the favour? NO

You attacked Northerners in Enugu, did we come back for return match? NO

You attacked the Notherners in Ondo, did twe attack your people living in the North? NO

You killed and slaughtered many Notherners in Oyo, did we retaliate? NO.

So why are you wailing and kicking because we have now reduced the velocity of our food supplies to the South?

We are NOrTh poor, but poorly managed.

Arewa shall rise again!!
You lack sense. In market dynamics or demand and supply cycle, there is something called alternative. If I pay for it and pay same cost for many options, then it can come from anywhere. Buhari had to close the border and hoard forex for it to even make news. Let them export their cow to Angola or Ethiopia.
Politics › Re: Still On The Food Blockade And Related Matters by CodeTemplar: 6:14pm On Mar 02, 2021
People should go to YouTube and Udemy to learn the latest in farming techniques and let's forget these stúpid northward folks. They blocked the borders, squeeze the forex pipe and now want to flex some imaginary muscles.

As long as I pay for it, it can come from anywhere. Tomatoes, onions, pineapple, rice and poultry supply can come from Benin Republic, milk can come from Holland, vegetable oil from China. It is the same money I pay the bloody jihadists with that I will pay the foreigners with, but they adjusted the forex rate just around the time of the blockage to frustrate all of that.
