Christianity Etc › Re: Which Should Be Paid First? Tithe Or Debt. by CodeTemplar: 11:14am On May 29, 2020*. Modified: 8:12pm On May 29, 2020 |
It depends.
Tithe is 10% of increase however if on the way to securing the increase debt was incurred, it makes sense the debt be paid off as well as the tithe but before the tithe.
If for example, I get goods on debt to sell for example, my increase will be total revenue minus cost of goods and expenses incurred in selling the good. With this formulae it is impossible to calculate increase without debt subtraction and thus payment of debt comes before calculation of actual increase. Debt isn't increase.
If the debt in question was incurred to cover personal cost or expenses like food, clothe, or housing, then tithe should be paid before the debt. |

valentineuwakwe: The guidelines according to the Governor include having a curriculum that tallies with a formal school system, there must be a provision for Almajiri in terms of their full shelter, foods, clothing and all other necessary livelihoods.
Ganduje added that if Almajiri system will continue, there must be qualified teachers who will be certified by the government through test and examinations. . It is clear these govs are after using covid to extract money from the centre. Who feeds the almajirai here. Parents, Alfas or gov? The first two options haven't been able to feed them so far so who feeds them according Ganduje? He has forgotten what their prophet they love to impose his teaching on others said about zero movement in and out of plagued areas. That explains a lot about the stupíd movement of almajirais all over the country when their movement was least needed. |

By the end of his life, he had studied the Bible in 26 languages, including Zulu, Swahili, and Hausa.
At the Treaty of Locarno in December 1925, he was able to talk to every delegate of the League of Nations in their own language. The bold part is the most refreshing. He wasn't a reading some cult books and slamming his head against surfaces. |

nku5: The millions of southerners in the north are adding value either as fee paying students, business owners, employees of organisations that are 99% owned by southerners. They are paying rent, taking northern youth of the streets and employing them, giving alms. The Igbo traders in the north have a policy of employing street boys to menial tasks. Who north epp?
I don't know what you mean by southern states cater for its own people. Please be a bit specific Stop talking nonsense out of pain. If I check, maybe you even chewed kolanut to stay awake while typing that trash and you expect the man who farms and sells kolanut not to be rich. |

lexyking: OP, I understand your write up Is meant to serve as a response to some tribal jabs that was directed towards your region since those arewa kids pictures surfaced online yesterday, however in your attempt to do this you're making the same mistake that you're desperately trying to correct.
While I've never been one of those that tends to blame others for my misfortunes, because I believe nothing happens without me permitting it either directly or indirectly. So I get it when you say the south are the problem to themselves and not the north,
My grouse is that you're making it sound normal and ok for a few to steal and enjoy the wealth that is meant for everyone. Agreed, we can't all be equally rich but at least we can all be comfortable.
Like I said earlier that I don't have any problem with the rich northerners, my problem is their attempts to display so much affluence while the majority of their people are wallowing in extreme poverty. So I think instead of defending their lavish lifestyles you should be finding a way to make them see reasons on the need to find a way to evenly distribute wealth among their populace. Nothing special if a man farms kolanuts or rice, makes good money and flaunt it. It is when illegal wealth is being flaunted that it becomes a concern. |

Macphenson: Almajiri is a system that operates in the north, it is the northern pride according to you people. So what's wrong with that? Almajiri system is everywhere and even more rampant in SE and SW. It is more of a spiritual practice which the northerners decides to veil with Islam. |

Bayelsa didn't become London and he is right. Few corrupt and loud mouthed bayelsans only made awuff wealth and those wealth were 75% gone within 3 years of relinquishing power. Power doesn't translate to wealth, it is production that does and as long as bayelsans and southerners think power is what they lack, they will remain behind. Those northerners OP highlighted are rich because they produce. Somebody paid them because they produced something that can be exchanged for money. They started producing these items hundreds of years before oil came on the scene, so it will be extremely stupîd to say they are using oil money. |

FeliciaOja: It is now I understand what being strict does, it makes you live a life of pretence, cos when I got into University I wanted to explore everything I didn’t have the chance of doing at home.
I drank alcohol like crazy, smoked weed, hung out with rich boys, partying, doing drugs but when I go visit my Parents, I still act like that innocent girl they have always known.
My Dad’s strictness led to my Pretence, if he had drawn me close like my mum did, I would have been a better kid.
When parents use strictness to shut down a kids curiosity instead of guiding them, you are making matters worse for that kid. Because eventually that curiosity will lead them into adventures and exploring all those things you refused them to..
Looking back, al the flogging I received from my dad only made me more stubborn and ruthless.
Nothing really changed? Until my mum made me change for good.
Parents need to use wisdom not force.. Misbehaving willfully and blaming someone for it. |
