In the middle of the coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria, Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved Fridays Muslim prayers as well as Eid prayers in the state, after meeting with selected 30 Islamic scholars.
He met with 30 muslims scholars. I wonder how many Christian scholars he met with before easter.

Nice one! They can all survive in containers. I did same beginning of the year. I haven't bought ugu, water outside since.

What the plants really need are constant water supply.

You can get jerry cans (20 litres or so). Cut them through vertically close to the top.

You can get soil from anyone into gardening and fill the jerry cans up.

Though I have little ground which I planted okro and green (efo) but majority of my vegetables are planted in the jerry cans.

I am based in Ile Ife and would be available to assist if you are based same place.
vertically or horizontally? Vertical cut will involve cutting it from the top to bottom but horizontal cut goes sideways (left to right or right to left).
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Does The Bible Condemn The Rich And Encourage You To Be Poor Instead? by CodeTemplar: 8:04pm On May 19, 2020
NockMedia:
Isn't the same Bible that said "Money Answereth all things"?
Pls wake up, make money and enjoy your life because you only live once.
Money answereth to all things was a definition of money and not an assertion that money will answer to all things. "Things" in that statement referred to physical things and services. The statement was nothing more than the definition of money itself.

Do you know why Jesus prayed before his crucifixion? He prayed in order not to avoid the cross - which was part of his destiny.

Family › Re: My Husband's Family Is Sucking Him Dry by CodeTemplar:
Anni3e:
Hi, I have been married for 9 years now, the problem I have with my husband is that his family members keep sucking him dry and the way he neglects us his immediate family.

He is the first child of 7 children, his siblings even the married ladies keep asking him for money. He keeps spending money on them and their husbands. His brothers keep crying they are broke, they keep leeching off him.

His two junior brothers that always ask him for money, one of them built a house in Port Harcourt and the other one built a big house in the village. Still they won't let him rest.

His married sisters are the worst. If they cough they would call him to send money, every minor thing they would expect money. Just this evening his sister called him to ask for money. We don't have a house of our own, I keep telling my husband to stop giving in to all their demands and invest the money on something, he would say I am turning him against his family.

We have 2 kids and I have told him we need to start saving for their future, I pay the electricity bill, foodstuffs, and most times the children school fees, he pays the house rent and rarely keeps money for home upkeep, he sometimes drops two thousand and that's it for the whole week. He always complains he has no more, but once his family calls him he sends money immediately.

I have saved enough to buy a land and I am not planning to include his name in the property. I don't know what to deal with, his family entitlement mentality or the way he neglects the kids and I and treat us like outsiders.

I am really pissed off and tired.

Sorry for the long post.
If your story is accurate then you have done the right thing by buying a landed property in your own name. By the time he realises this and wants to fume, you remind him what you acquired was same as what his brothers did for themselves and that they didn't include his name too. That should reset his thinking if you are speaking the truth.

Good headline but the normal issues that resist the fair actualization of such schemes is still very much around and abounds.

That's about N400, 000 millions to 5 million farmers or rather N80,000 per farmer in agricultural logistics like ground preparation, harvesting and cultivation.

75% of such buildings in Lagos is owned by south-southerners. Diezani's example is still fresh. She used the lack of such building in SS to incite and gain grass root sympathizers while stealing but once the stealing was successful, she went back to Lagos, bought a water logged land, sand and stone filled it, and put a 20 story structure there to make Lagos look even more developed.

Family › Re: My Brother On Hard Drugs: 18 Years Of Pains And Sorrow. I Need Help! by CodeTemplar: 11:48pm On May 18, 2020
star4ever:
I have a 42 year old brother who for over 18 years has been on hard drugs. He started this habit while in secondary school and couldn't finish tertiary education for same reason. Efforts made by the family to stop him from substance abuse and rehabilitate him at several occasions failed. Each time such effort is made, he recovers after a while but returns to the habit. Currently, he has become mentally deranged and there seems to be no solution at sight.

He has been admitted to different psychiatric hospitals on two occasions. At both times, he was treated and confirmed fit and sound to return to the society. The moment he was discharged, he quickly went back to his old ways and all the resources spent went into the drain. In one of the occasions, we were strongly advised to engage him as joblessness was one of the greatest problem causing the abuse. We got him engaged by securing a fantastic job which he also left after a week of working there. Other meaningful efforts geared towards engaging him to enable him to become occupied and start earning a living as a man also didn’t work out.

We have organised prayer sessions by powerful men of God, nothing has happened yet. I do want to sound like someone without faith. I strongly believe that our able God will make things beautiful at His time. However, the situation has gone out of control and we need to act fast.

These, amongst many, are some of the interventions already done by the family and we cannot fold our arms and watch people mock us in shame every day due to his abnormal activities in the community.

Now what he does is forcefully, take money from our aged mum, sell any family property at sight in exchange for money to buy his drugs. Beat my mum up at any slightest refusal to give him money. He has been jailed many times for committing several offences related to this habit, yet the problem persists. Maybe we have not applied the best approach?

I am calling on fellow Nairalanders to assist with solutions. I believe there are some of us here who may have experienced this problem in one way or the other, or have an advise to give to solve this lingering painful situation. Your personal or professional experience (s) may go a long way in salvaging this situation for us.

I believe a problem shared is a problem solved.
Wofbi, Winners Chapel, let him try that.

Freksy:
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Genesis 1:1-2 | KJV

How long did the earth remain in the aforementioned condition before its preparation for life?

The distance in terms of time between Genesis 1:1-2 AND events beginning from Gen 1:3 is unknown to mankind.

Note that there is a huge age gap between man and the planet, earth. No one knows how long the earth remained formless, void and submerged in water before it was prepared by God for life. Mention of this is not made in the Bible.

Knowing how long man has been on earth will not tell you how old the earth is.
This is what OP and the alternate moniker are pretending not to understand.
